15 Replies to “Its Long Overdue for DEI to DIE”

  1. Having been immersed in DEI over the last decade, you would think our society would now be extraordinarily tolerant and hate free.

That’s not the impression I’m getting.

  2. Robin DiAngelo made an impressive career — and assuredly a boat load of money — by selling white guilt.

Who knew there would be such a market for it?

  3. Just like every other Leftist program, it is merely being repackaged in a less overt fashion. The DEI employees are being moved to a less conspicuous position and being retitled. We see this all the time.

    Example:
    Global Cooling…Global Warming…Climate Change
    Islam….Religion of Peace
    Affirmative Action…equality…equity…diversity

    They never, ever quit voluntarily.

  4. Too bad they don’t get rid of DIE @ BC hydro. It is one of the most corrupt companies in BC.

  5. DEI = Death Entering Industry

Canada has a bit too quick to adopt some American obsessions. Frankly, we do not have a lot of negative prejudicial feelings for people. Yes, most Canadians think that immigration levels are too high and the benefits granted are beyond our budget and not even available to Canadians. I paid for my own dental care for crowns and caps. Harper was right.

    Diversity:
Please educate me on how diversity is enriching anything! New ideas from Haiti, Pakistan or Mainland China immigrants are of little valuable interest, as they come from largely dysfunctional countries and some “act out” like teenagers, once they arrive in western countries. Sounds like a government-sponsored take-over.

Equity: is it a good idea to pay dysfunctional people $$ from taxpayers? Perhaps, a few real Canadians, not perm res or temps who lie to officials and overstay their welcome. Should money launderers and off-shore people be able to buy the best addresses in our country? I think not.

Inclusion: frankly, my dear, no one wants a flick-head as a friend. A lot of immigrants are definitely not inclusively-inclined. They want nothing to do with 6th generation Canadians, living their lives with their own folks, and do not even learn languages. At least 70% of immigrant women (my estimate) do not bother to learn English or French, so their kids suffer in adult life, because schools do not teach language: parents do. The ones that that do have such incomprehensible accents such that they are barely employable.

    1. Wow figure that, Canadian that can’t be bothered to learn the language of the majority where they live. Anyways, I would also be curious of their hiring practices. It seems to me when a business is owned by “newcomers”, you suddenly get a lot of “newcomers” working in that biz.

      1. You’ve got that wrong!
They have been allowed to become the ‘majority of where they live.’ That’s the problem. Look at Brampton, Woodbridge and Markham. Newcomers have zero incentive to assimilate.

It is not unusual to go into a restaurant in Woodbridge and have no English speaking servers.

  6. In my former place of work, they were trying to re-write the long history of the organization to be more inclusive. In other words, find more black people that contributed or were members in the past. That proved impossible because before the 60s, there were hardly any black people in Canada (well below 1%) and those were mainly in the Maritimes. So they made shit up. And also that proved how systematically racist the organization was in the past.

  7. There will come a time, in the not too distant future, when all this DEI crap will be under the bus. Pronouns will be openly mocked, and having them on your social media will get you fired or never hired.

We tried it, didn’t work, made us broke, its over.

  8. Please educate me on how diversity is enriching anything!

Diversity is a dog whistle for patronization. It’s a living non-sequitur in most scenarios. It’s a misplaced kindness that ends up being a falsity in many situations. There is seldom a pay-off for making decisions requiring competency, merit and integrity if your primary basis of selection is skin color, sex or sexual proclivities. As I said, a living non-sequitur.

Diversity can be an effective tool, as well. But, the necessity is scant. For example, suppose you have this wonderful medical cure for Sickle Cell Anemia. You are going to be more effective convincing those effected by the disease to try the cure if you present it through doctors that best represent the racial make up of those needing the cure. It expedites trust. And, ironically, that trust is more easily acquired based on the prejudices and bigotry of the diverse group.

    1. Worse than that. DEI is overt racism. It is stating, “we don’t care what you know or what skills you have. We only care what you look like, what your superficial appearance happens to be. And we will hire or reward you on that basis only.”

That is as racist as it gets. It selects deliberately for less competence in any particular job or career. Carried to logical conclusion, this means there WILL be more airplanes crashing to the ground, more bridges collapsing from poor design and construction.

  9. The tribes all hate each other. I’m not talking race it’s the tribes within each race. A thousand generations from now maybe things will be different but as long as we continue to promote the fiction of multi-cult and diversity racism will thrive.

  10. Didn’t Earn It.
DEI is just a cover for all the old ugliness of the feudal system.
Appointing beholden minions,to empower your lock on power.
Merit is required in a technological society.
A thing we are rapidly moving away from.
And those with technological skill and knowledge are the first to be cast aside by Human Resources as they attempt to nudge us in “The proper direction”.

And then they assume that all the recurring screw-ups are politically motivated by disgruntled employees.
Or as our Progressive Comrades keep chanting, “The Alt Right”..”vast Rightwing conspiracy”..

When these systemic failures are failures of the DEI management, morons can’t stop being what they are and every “minority person of colour” who is selected because of their skin is another failure point.
And then there is the “I’m educated” and now too good to work with my hands..
Seems to dominate Africa and Asia….
Perverse incentives, imposed upon us by perverts.
And the HR morons are so smugly stupid, that first they tell you..”You can’t quit”

And then they attempt to demand you fill in an exit poll document..
    Incredible hubris.
