…these people aren’t using metaphors. They truly see anyone who isn’t Indigenous as an active colonizer and criminal who doesn’t belong. The idea is steadily gaining currency in our schools, society and government, and it’s brutally playing out against Israel, where Hamas supporters euphorically envision forcing out all Jews (despite the Jews’ own indigeneity).

Umm… seems to me it’s about time to revisit the definition of “visible minority” because it seems a little outdated.
If First Nation bands were smart they’d start demanding the government pay them a princely head fee on every new settler and migrant that comes in.
I’d say $10,000 per migrant to every First Nation band would do it.

In reply to eljay, I think it will be reversed. The “dot” Indians (or as I say “tech not tipi”) will take over, they are educated and more numerous. I have mentioned many times that I love history and geography. A part of geography is demographics. Mark Steyn has mentioned that “demographics is all” and the the “future belongs to those who show up for it”. White people are no longer showing up for the future because white women no longer are having children. As well, in the last 2 years I have read that indigenoous peoples including the Metis only comprise 2 million of Canada’s population – that is a drop in the bucket. If my knowledge is out of date, please correct me.
As I read the Internet, almost 2 million indigenous including ~650,000 Metis. There are 1.8 million people in Canada of Chinese descent.
And over 2.8 million of South Asian descent.
Anyone born in this backwater is indigenous. My great, great, great, grandparents were born here and generation after generation through to my now grandchildren, who will have children of their own, are all indigenous, as in born here.
No one younger than me was here before I was, no matter your ethnic origin.

Actually a DNA test on this east European Jew reveals 2/3 s middle eastern origin. This is the usual.
Most of us are 4th or 5th generation Canadians. Remember Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, most whites left after the war for various reasons. Many had lived in Zimbabwe for over 4 generations – just like non indigenous Canadians. As expected Zimbabwe became an ecomonic basket case, maybe still is. Happened there, could happen here.
