I had a fellow in my office about 10 years ago and he told me that he immigrated to Canada from England.
Even at that time, he expressed frustration that people were being dropped of on the East and West Coasts of Canada and given the royal treatment upon their arrival. They were given money and a date to appear in court, which the majority never attended, while he had spent over 10 years going through the normal legal channels.
That process is much more lax today than 10 years ago.

My family immigrated to the U.S. from Europe. Then you had to be sponsored by an American family and spend 6 to 12 months working for them which in our case meant working on a sheep farm. I suppose that policy was to weed out those who weren’t serious or were undesirable. There was zero financial support and zero programs.
Later my father decided to move to Canada where we arrived with a U-Haul and the clothes on our back. There were no programs of any kind other than hard work. As you might imagine I look on in complete amazement at what is happening today – it’s shocking.
End socialism, and the illegals will move back to where they came from voluntarily and at their own expense.

That the only way they will ever get a legitimate residency status is through the American Embassy in their country regardless of who they are or where they came from – millions of Venezuelans cry about their government – but they have the guns and use them in cities in the USA – they could sure as hell use them in the homeland they miss so much that they put up their flags everywhere and talk about it like it’s a tropical paradise every friggin’ day…
How many prisons are your going to have to build and staff to accommodate them? Not to mention the children of the prisoners who will have to be put in foster care at considerable expense.
And don’t forget the cost of the years that it will take tracking down all these people. It’s not like they have illegal immigrant stamped on their forehead.
FEMA has lots of money for illegal aliens, instead of using it to help them invade the country, they can use the billions to deport illegals.

A portion of this money is coming from FEMA (per whistleblowers claiming misappropriation) , who now claims to not have the resources to assist in Western NC. Apparently, they shelled out nearly $1 Billion of their budget to transport, process and house illegal immigrants. I guess that’s why the media won’t touch NC with a 10 foot pole.

As a Canadian who decades ago wished to move to the US and be a productive working participant in the second greatest country to ever grace the face of the earth (Israel being the first), the requirements made it impossible.
I can attest to that.
As a legal immigrant, thinking of the hoops I had to jump through and how much it cost, I’m … not impressed.
Then you should make legal immigration way easier and cheaper. BTW coming in through that app is perfectly legal.
