  2. Of course, having a “average” calculated to 3 decimal places while using devices that are typically rated for an accuracy of +/- degree C to measure it, doesn’t make a lot of sense, unless you just want headlines.

    And the whole idea of a “global average” makes little sense to begin with.

        1. That is the main engine for climate activity on the earth, but there are other sources, such as cosmic radiation. Something about that creates cloud formations. I’m not even going to come close to suggesting that I’m anywhere near an expert on this, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

        1. Heat transfer happens all the time with outgoing long wave radiation being the final step. If a large volume of water had cooled it’s lost more heat energy than it gained. Where the lost heat goes is a function on where that energy can flow to next. Definitely more complex and chaotic than computers can model.

      3. It isn’t the chaotic nature of weather that’s the problem. The error bars are at best 1/2 of the measurement resolution, assuming perfect calibration. Under ideal conditions the best we can do for prediction is +/- 1/2 degree. Yet they’re giving us global averages with presumed accuracy of 1/100th or even 1/1000th of a degree.

    2. We are about to enjoy a La Niña event in the South Pacific – After a couple of years of El Niño ….

      That will give us a couple of years of cooler, wetter weather …. so there is no global warming crisis after all.

      Although …. We do have a crisis of horrendously bad leadership in the world.

  3. All of these articles are littered with “could”, “might”, “suggests”, etc. Climate science is full of weasel words. There is no certainty and scientists, in order to safeguard their cushy jobs, use these words rather than others so that they cannot be held accountable. So why is that any different than a politician?

    Higher temperatures cause more rainfall which results in higher food production. Take India as an example

    In contrast, global warming between the 1920s and 40s brought plentiful rain for India.

  5. Whenever temperatures are higher than normal, say in a large area such as Canada, they are always cooler than normal in another part of the globe, possibly several areas of the globe. Worldwide, it all balances out.

    1. For example, Canada had high summer temperatures the past two years, while large swaths of Asia had lower summer temps the past two years.

      Again, the Overton window is now so far to the left that any form of rational response is now taboo on both the left and the right, and you have all proven my point admirably.

  7. Logic and reason have no place in this manufactured debate.

    Communism collapsed in 1989. Only people who are as dumb as rocks still believed in Communism, such as university professors.

    So they had to change the narrative and make it a nebulous problem that could never be solved but would work to frighten people into submission.

    In the 1990’s the so called green movement took off and every one of their solutions to saving the planet call for government control of the means of production, government control of where you can live or travel, government control of what they will let you eat, government control of every aspect of your life – similar to East Germany.

    1. Communism never collapsed, East Germany did and USSR followed shortly after. There is more Communism in the world today than there ever was. See so-called ‘free’ western civilizations. The same civilizations should have been spiking the football for 15 years, but we took a different, and wrong, approach. Never thought that nearly half of the population of the United States supports the party that wants to and is censoring their own citizens just 33 years after the collapse of the 2nd largest Communist country in the world.

  10. We’re having an October heat wave here in N.CA … and predictably … every weather “person” here in the Bay Area are WARNING of the Global Warming scourge! But have to admit we routinely have such extended heat waves every 10 years or so. However … they give those former heat records as evidence of our EXTREME weather … rather than NORMAL fluctuations in weather patterns.

    1. This morning my local news is going on and on and on … about how the temperature will be the HIGHEST EVER this Sunday at Levi’s Stadium when the 49ers play Sunday at 1pm. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Mommmmaaaaaaa … they cry! The temp. is predicted to be 92 deg.F !!! Global Warming!!!

      Uh … Levi’s stadium opened 10 years ago. What are the odds that any given event will be “the hottest ever” … with barely a 10 year timeframe to compare ? And 92 deg.F days in N.CA in October are as common as dirt. Sadly, the general public is both uninformed (about Levi’s stadium history) and uneducated (in basic statistics) … to LOL at these absurd stories.

      We are being LIED to … and are TOO DAMN STUPID to realize it.

    1. The BIG difference is that religion operates on FAITH … acknowledging there is an unknown element to their belief system. However the church of Global Warming operates on “scientific certainty”, which of course is utterly absurd because their “science” is 100% flawed. If only they’d admit that it takes FAITH … and a large dose of STUPIDITY to worship in their church.

  14. We are currently in the middle of solar cycle 25, near its maximum. Of course things will be warmer. Just wait until 2030 when we’re in its minimum.

    The alarmists simply refuse to discuss the sun’s effect on the plant. Ask the astronomers who watch the other planets and report that they’re warmer, too. Do their aliens generate CO2?

  15. The climate is not changing, though some heat records are being made locally. And “heat domes” is suddenly a thing. And aurora sightings are now far more pronounced, more common, and can be seen at much greater distances.

    And sun dogs are now reasonably common phemonema.

    While at the same time, the $hit being sprayed in the air is now off the charts.

    I believe all these phenomena can be partially or fully explained by the largely metallic ingredients, including the lensing effect they produce.

    1. Danielle Smith went on record recently not exactly denying chem trails, but saying that she hasn’t seen evidence that the U.S. military is actually spreading the stuff on Alberta.
      Well somebody is doing it if it isn’t the U.S. military. All you have to do is look up! Those vapor trails aren’t coming from passenger airliners.
      But this is a positive development, because even the discussion of yet another conspiracy theory, whether or not it is believed, making it’s way onto the public record and being reported by the LSM (lame-stream media), means that people are now at least talking about it.
