   1. I have thought the same thing. Whereas genuine mistakes are possible, why do they always go “one way”?

      If they were genuine “mistakes” roughly 50% of them should go in the other direction. But they never do — funny that.

   1. Ya know, I’ve often wondered about the polls in the US, no matter who or when, anyone runs for president, it’s almost always reported (at least what I’ve seen) as a near 50/50 split.

8. My wife and I were watching the bronco riders in the Calgary Stampede finals yesterday. There was a tie for first so the two riders did another ride and afterwards the scores indicated the winner. Then, several minutes later, they announced that a mistake had been made and the other person was actually the winner. The new winner went to to stage, collected his trophy and check and celebrated with his family. About 15 minutes later another announcement was made…the person who was first named the winner was actually the winner. Whoever was responsible for tallying the scores got it wrong…TWICE! They had one job!

   1. Well, but in fairness, bronco riding is kind of technical, and reckoning the scores takes some doing. Though it doesn’t require the same strength and courage, bronco reckoning is almost as technically difficult as bronco riding itself. Or at least, last week when I was drunk at the Stampede somebody calling himself a bronco reckoner told me that, and I believed him. His name was Dave the Bronco Reckoner, he told me he’d been mayor but I’m not sure about that.

9. Math is hard. My fiancé is convinced all bronc and bull riders are brain-damaged. Hard to make her understand the appeal of that…oh well.

10. IDK … all I have been reading this past week is that Trump didn’t gain ANY ground on Biden after the disastrous debate. None. Dead heat. (Too soon?)
