  1. It’s absolutely revolting. Would it have been affected by a direct current or perhaps an alternating current?

  2. i think that happened a few weeks ago, or there was a similar result with another floating array.

  3. Need Lightfoot’s the “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” playing in the background.

  4. To the hysterics out there this in itself will be seen as proof of the devastating impact of climate change, as though the alleged phenomenon has transformed into a demon, complete with a malicious will to confound humanity’s efforts to mitigate it.

  5. In the land of devastating floods and monsoons ? Yeah, brilliant … I wonder how much $$$$$ in government subsidies was mined out of THAT project?

  6. Trillions wasted globally on liberal green boondoggles, we pay the bills and they spend money on absolutely insane “Green energy” that doesn’t work and can’t stand up to the bloody weather.

  7. One more in a long line of failures brought to you by the insane left . From bird blenders to self igniting EVs the insanity continues unabated .

  8. About a month ago, a massive solar farm in eastern Texas was turned into so much debris thanks mostly to a rather wicked hail storm and wind. About a year ago I was curious about how solar farms protect their panels from just such weather events, so I did a little research. At the time, just about every article and “Q & A” forum insisted that the panels were manufactured in such a way that hail would not be able to cause any significant damage beyond a few dents in the metal casing.

Those same articles and “Q & A”‘s are no longer easy to find on the internet. It’s almost like someone gave the directive to make them inaccessible. These zealots are incapable of doing a proper evaluation of their efforts. In a number of cases, the motivation is not even “Anthropomorphic Climate Change.” It is 100% personal finance. Were I to guess at the process, I’d say the application is to secure voluminous funds from the government and investors. Pocket a significant amount of that money through various means and build your project on a shoestring budget regardless of inefficiency. Then use government pressure to get insurance companies and Re-insurance specialty companies to cover weather events that “would never occur.” And, walk away with your cool cash. I’m beginning to think that a vast majority of these alternative energy efforts aren’t even designed to do what they promise. It’s, instead, a giant MacGuffin.

    1. I read about a Chinese Solar Array in the southern section of the Sahara Desert. Funny thing, the first sand storm wiped them out. Also, there was no maintenance personnel to handle problems. There are NO solar arrays now in the Sahara Desert.
I agree with most of the other posters – it is ALL about government money. When the money runs out, time to get out of Dodge.

      1. France is trying to get a huge transmission line approved across Spain ti supply ig with solar energy from Morroco.
France is numero uno in muclear power.
        Go figure

    2. I suspect that they didn’t have insurance for “hail” or any other similar “act of god”, in the same way that “hurricane insurance” is harder to get in hurricane prone areas unless it’s government subsidized.

    3. Any first year engineer can do the math and figure out that every current “green” energy project is a complete failure. Green energy is subsidy farming. Always has been.

  9. Poseidon must not be reading his mail, surely he was sent the memo. Right? He was sent the memo? Right? Right?

  10. anybody with a lick of sense and a couple seasons at the beach know how really really dumb it is thinking you can float things on the water so they stay put indefinitely.
    doesnt happen

  11. Who could have foreseen storms at sea? It was just a scam. I bet all the money will not be repaid.

  12. Dumb people thinking and doing really dumb things. Rational thought is not something dumb people engage in.

    1. They have government (taxpayer) money in pocket and can anticipate more for rebuilding, so who are the dumb ones? Remember to thank your local MP for supporting our local grifters
