Scam…
One big marketing ploy that doesn’t make a bit of sense in any shape or form.
Coulda had a pickle factory…
In California, the idiots believe that.
He had a vasectomy?
We can only hope.
It does emit bulls#!t so it’s not zero emissions..
O….. something. One hell of a lot of fossil fuels were used to build the semi worthless piece of cr*p.
Emissions were emitted when they used the energy to make that license plate. So right off the bat it is a lie, even before you factor in the car.
OEM ? Original Equipment Manufacturer? That would be communist China … right?
It’s convenient for the article to state all of its conclusions without listing assumptions. That makes fact checking impossible. My gut is telling me those EV numbers are conservative. Further, if the fantasy of universal EV ownership is accounted for the energy required to mine materials won’t be linear – it will be exponential given that the easiest stuff gets accessed first. If energy to mine materials and manufacture double any advantage (according to the article’s numbers) from EV’s vanishes. Diesels are much more efficient with room to improve further. I’d like to see that comparison. With a little more analysis including reasonable assumptions I think it will show EV’s to be exactly what they appear to be: an expensive exotic niche product.
I took a picture of a license plate on a Tesla in Nanaimo BC that read … ‘4R ERTH’
Letting us know what a sacrifice this person is making to help save the planet in buying his EV.
A correct licence plate for an EV would be: MNBT MBL
