April 24, 2024: Reader Tips

From 1958, we present Bell, Book, And Candle. Interestingly, this was the same year that Vertigo was released, a film that made Kim Novak rather famous. It also appears to be a precursor to the Bewitched TV series.

Your witchy or spooky news tips are especially appreciated!

    1. But, but, but … his disgraced shyster Lawyer paid Daniel’s “hush money” … because Trump had a love child with her … or something the doorman said … something, something … Gloria Allred’s stable of 17 women who accuse Trump of sexual abuse … something, something … crazy eyed woman “wins” lawsuit against Trump for RAPE! Wait … that’s not it … well she won for his mean tweets about her obvious mental illness.

Oh screw it !! The entire TDS media are humping Trump like a prisoner on a conjugal furlough.

    1. Not one, not two … but THREE types of “misinformation” are being used against “transgendered” mental patients, according to pseudo-Scientific American.

Hint: The pseudo-Scientific American claim has been logged into EVERY AI program on the planet. Mao had no idea how to brainwash the masses … but Google does!

  1. Well, thenks to SDA, after 51 years I got another clue as to what the lyrics meant in the Rolling Stones song Winter from Goats Head Soup:

“And I wish I been out in California
When the lights on all the Christmas trees went out
But I been burnin’ my bell, book and candle
And the restoration plays have all gone ’round”

Nah, I still don’t know what Jagger was singing about.

  2. Novak was seriously famous after starring in Picnic with William Holden in 1955 (she was 22).

  3. “• A long history exists of a wave of severe injuries following new vaccinations being introduced to the market. In most cases, those injuries were swept under the rug to protect the business.

    • In many cases, the severe “mysterious” injuries we see now are remarkably similar to those that were observed over a century ago. Unfortunately, a widespread embargo exists on ever allowing this data to come to light (as that would instantly destroy the vaccine program).

    • A variety of independent studies (summarized below) have shown that vaccines cause a wide range of chronic illnesses.

    • A 1990 book made a strong case that widespread vaccination was also causing an epidemic of widespread brain damage which was both lowering America’s IQ and causing a massive rise in violent crime.”

  4. “The racist literary origins of Indiana Jones, The Great White Thief”.

This appeared 9 months ago in the Washington Post and is currently featured in the National Post but you can’t search the story directly for a link. It only shows up in MSN.COM.

“The basic outlines of the adventure genre will be familiar to Indy fans, though its structure is heavily beholden to the colonialist politics of Haggard’s era: A brilliant White man, very often a professor, deploys personal reserves of cleverness, resilience and unrelenting determination in the service of exploration, discovery and resource extraction.”

    1. Are they talking about the author Ryder Haggard? Famous for his book, “Help Your Wife Lose Weight Through Sex”?

  5. SDAers might be interested to know that the left-wing Hot Docs documentary festival will start tomorrow in Toronto. Global news in this one-sided piece bemoans that the the Hot Docs is in financial trouble:
    https://globalnews.ca/news/10432686/hot-docs-left-out-federal-budget-arts-festivals/

But the sponsoring group became politically correct years ago, given its close ties to mother CBC. The festival producer’s president, Marie Nelson, is a BLM advocate who lives full time in Washington, DC. In keeping with its BIPOC commitment, it hired one Hussain Currimhoy as its artistic director. But after four months on the job, and a few days after Ms. Nelson announced that the organization was in financial trouble, he abruptly resigned. Ten other board members also resigned.

Most of Hot Docs $5-million in annual revenues come from governments at the three different levels. Trudeau’s feds have been contributing about $2-miilion a year. But for some mysterious reason money for Hot Docs was left out of the 2024-25 federal budget. So the festival group has now started to lobby to have the $2-million reinstated. The group last week put out a statement supporting Palestine. Perhaps the CBC can save it. It does produce left-wing docs.

  6. Reader’s choice. Is this good or bad news? (but read to the end before deciding)

    From the Ottawa Citizen:

” A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of Mohamed Shire”. (picture included in the article)
    […]
Shire was one of three men wanted in the deaths of brothers Abdulaziz and Mohamad Abdullah, who died in a May 26, 2021 drive-by shooting at the intersection of Alta Vista Drive and Dorion Avenue. A third man was also shot, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

Ahmed Siyad, 28, of Toronto and Abdullahi Osman, 29, of Ottawa, have been arrested and face charges, but Shire has not been located.”

  7. Another quiz. Can you guess the ideology? The Associated Press won’t tell you, nor will the other mainstream media outlets.

“Australian police arrested seven teenagers accused of following a violent extremist ideology in raids across Sydney on Wednesday, as a judge extended a ban on social media platform X sharing video of a knife attack on a bishop that started the criminal investigation.

The seven, aged 15 to 17, were part of a network that included a 16-year-old boy accused of stabbing a bishop in a Sydney church on April 15, police said.”

  8. This is a story that seems to have disappeared into the ether over the past 3 months.

BTW, he was a Temporary Foreign Worker as a cook from Tunisian because we have such a shortage of cooks, as well as delivery drivers, retail sales staff and nannies according to the government. Funny, these are all categories of unskilled workers where you need little to no proof of your qualifications.

It’s the only chance I get to hear young women screaming, “hurry, hurry, hard, hard, hard!” 🙂

  10. Fairly good extended piece, by Jonathan Kay, discussing corruption in the media and academia:
    https://quillette.com/2024/04/19/investigating-the-academy-in-an-age-of-self-censorship/

Mr. Kay has done a lot of work investigating the woke insanity at Canadian universities, a few cases he describes here. He makes the point, two-thirds of the way down, that education reporters at the major media are too afraid to undertake investigative research against corrupted universities. He says that all journalists are afraid of future layoffs in the industry, and, once layoffs take place, any alternative employment will be as public relations hacks in woke education and government.

  12. The Swiss banking system has always “gamed” global finance. That means they game the eurodollar. US interest rates affect the Swiss cost structure.

As the Swiss have totally screwed the pooch, their banking system needs help. Rather than having the Swiss banking system bought out by the US banking system, the Swiss want lower US interest rates. That would lower their cost structure.

    ————————————————————————————————————————————————————
SNC-Lavalin — now known as AtkinsRealis — agreed in 2022 to pay Quebec nearly $30 million over three years to settle criminal bribery charges stemming from work on the bridge that spans the St. Lawrence River between Montreal and Longueuil, Que.

The deal, a so-called deferred prosecution agreement, allowed the company to continue doing business with the governments of Quebec and Canada as well as abroad.
