A B.C. doctor has captured the world’s attention by likely being the first physician to diagnose a patient with “climate change.”
Nelson-based Dr. Kyle Merritt gave the controversial diagnosis over the summer, saying the symptoms a patient in her 70s was seeing all tied back to one thing.
Those effects included heatstroke, dehydration and breathing issues. As he treated the patient, he started thinking about underlying issues. He ultimately diagnosed her with climate change.
Well at least his name is out there so that sane people in BC can try and avoid him.The world is just stupid now.
Now we can buy medicine that will cure climate change.
Just need a global warming pill.
Nelson has for many years been home to the “loony left”. It’s a government town (did have a small uni back in the day) in a beautiful setting, but has always looked down on the neighbouring towns which actually produced wealth (think the Cominco smelter in Trail, the pulp mill – maybe now gone – at Castlegar – and various small sawmills and mines throughout the West Kootenays) So this is not a surprise.
I hope there isn’t a Merritt-based Dr. Kyle Nelson to confuse things.

On second thoughts, can I get Workman’s Compensation if I get a severe dose of climate change and am no longer able to work?
Nuts, he is just plain nuts. I am older than his patient, can I get compensated for the stress and anxiety that the “climate change” is causing me? I would like to head back to Florida and avoid all this climate change in this part of the world.
Sorry, the only treatment available for climate change is medically assisted death.
It’s a “stupid” contest and the Dr has taken his best shot at getting on the leader board. Unfortunately for him, and society in general, he will be overtaken before morning coffee is served on the west coast. There’s at least 20 million people with less shame than him who will be trying to be noticed and there’s no limit to the stupidity out there.

Bad diagnosis. It is more likely that the patients 4 Humorals are out of equilibrium, which can also be caused by the climate. /s

If my doctor made that diagnosis, the first thing I would ask is “Are you a real doctor, or an activist with a fake degree on your wall?”
Then I’d threaten a malpractice suite before seeking out a second opinion. “Climate Change” is not something that can be used as a diagnosis. It is not a disease, or even a symptom. It is the claim from an activist pretending to care about his patients, but actually is more concerned with the cause.
…but then, I’m stating the obvious. Too bad this doctor can’t do the same.
I believe treatment consists of MAID, both the patient and the doctor.

I meet the day as presented to me whether is 35C or -45C and get on with it. As an advanced form of life the weather is irrelevant to me. Long Johns, sweaters, parkas, and Kodiaks and I’m good for the coldest day outside. People that use their heads have no issues.
The good doctor is suffering from climate change anxiety. I’ve seen it a lot in my practice.
