      2. It is only occurring in Toronto/the GTA

      3. It is only mainland Chinese money that is engaging in this sort of thing, and not the myriad of other groups, nationalities, subcultures, etc., that make up Canada’s glorious Multicultural Mosaic

      I mean, if it were more widespread then the Canadian media – those fearless speakers of truth to power – would surely “run” with this topic, right?

  12. The reason the rents are so high is that “government money” was used to inflate the the building’s costs that have to be recouped by stupid crazy rents. I would suspect that those rents would be subsidized by the CCP to house their agents

  15. I’m currently building a chicken coop, maybe I should rent it out for a grand a month. I’ll advertise it as a single room with a small fenced in yard, no electricity or running water, but I could set up a rain barrel for an extra monthly fee!
