One of our friends locked down his new baby daughter so completely in terror of COVID that by age two she was severely stunted in both her language and social development. The family doctor told the family either stop the lockdown and get this child out into the world or I will have to report you to Child and Family Services. She saw no humans except her mother and father for two years. It took three months before the child could see a new face up close without screaming in terror. She’s still weird. Her gut biome must have been very healthy though.
That’s horrifying.
If you isolate everyone from everyone else forever, yes, you’re likely to have collapsing occurrences of infectious diseases.
You’ll also have a collapsing civilization.
You’ll also get a collapsing population once these isolated folks become exposed to common illnesses because they have no acquired immunity resulting from previous exposure. Basically these folks are sentencing themselves to a death

The fear mongers just don’t want to get it, it could possibly ruin their lives knowing the truth.
There is small and no chance they will accept it.
