You can make several billion artillery shells, the minute Russia fires its last artillery shell it reaches for what it still left in inventory.
Funnily enough, there is a factory here in Canada that makes 155mm artillery shells. The line is going flat out to produce an astonishing 3,000 shells per month. All of which are paid for by our tax dollars and are being sent to the Ukraine. So every other month, the government of Canada provides the Ukes with a day’s worth of shells. And in the two years since the war began, they’ve managed to produce roughly the same amount of artillery ammunition (~48,000) as Russia uses per day.
Also, the Canadian Army has a 3-day supply of ammunition for their 20-some 155mm cannon, which is probably about a month’s worth of production from the factory. If our idiot government were to get into a war, you can guess how that will go for the poor souls who would actually have to fight it.
I was frankly amazed to learn this, but sure enough a US-owned company operating out of Quebec, you will be ecstatic to hear it has an Indigenous Supplier Program.

My guess – and it’s only a guess – is that NATO nations already had a lot of “advisors” on the ground in Ukraine. We know Canadian troops were already there. I suspect that a bunch of them were captured in a recent Russian push, and they need to have the ground prepared, from a communications point of view, to let the public know this.
