  1. Winston Smith can’t keep up with properly leftist biased AI. Unlike Winston, AI is also not going to try rebelling either.
The Inner Party members will no longer need 90% of the regular party members. Thus, everyone else that isn’t in military or enforcement will be a lowly prole. Easier to control that way.

  2. De-googling is possible but alas convenience and so the bitchy sheep will just take it. It’s a comfortable ride to slavery.

    1. Well, someone much smarter than I am tried to do this for a tech blog.

Sure, most people know about the search engine (I moved to DuckDuckGo years ago), the browser…operating system…some don’t know they own Waze.

But most don’t know they also own Captha…yeah, that thing where you have to tell a computer that you’re human, and not a computer.

Oh, and even when he thought he had unhooked himself, his phone still tried to ‘phone home’ to Google thousands of times a day.

  3. Gemini was made in the image of its creators.

The racist and sexist algorithms were just not very subtle, just like the people who coded the thing. The roll out may have been a disaster for Google, but it was a good warning for the world. Meanwhile Canada is making laws to criminalize any dissent, uh, I mean hate speech.

    1. He only cares that his stock closed at $143.96 on Friday, and today is trading at ~$135. Which for a CEO is bad news, especially when it was at $153 less than a month ago.

  4. How long before Gemini is in charge of the pod bay door?

It locked out white people first day.

  5. Gemini AI was simply a reflection of the narcissism enveloping it’s programmers and creators. When you’re so dipped in hubris that you refuse to entertain other’s positions the result is a forgone conclusion. Here’s the hilarious thing about all this. Those responsible for the outlandish product that resulted STILL see nothing wrong with it I’d wager. They think they’ve paved the way towards Eutopia. I’d love to be a fly on the wall experiencing the conversations between the bean counter portion of management and the those who poured their misguided souls into the end result. I’ll bet they’re heated and filled with invective.

They were, obviously, given free reign with a lack of practical supervision, and they created exactly what they set out to create. Now those in the big seats have to lie to the public about how it happened. It’s fantastically entertaining.

    Never go full retard.

    1. The conversation will be about how racist and bigoted people that complained are. Just like Disney, they will blame the customers. There were no black popes or founding fathers? That only reinforces their belief that their work should continue, fighting the heteronormative racist patriarchy. Or something like that.

  6. Garbage in, garbage out. Why do you feel the need to use this tool if you don’t like it? What special features make it better?

  7. I highly recommend Tey’s “The Daughter Of Time”. It raises serious doubts about what history has had to say about Richard the 3rd.

The title comes from a saying from Francis Bacon: “”Truth is the daughter of time, not of authority.”

    1. Agreed and good point. The actual study of Richard’s remains discovered in 2012 has done enormous damage to the traditional narrative that filled our history school books of decades ago. He was not a cripple, for example; He had spinal scoliosis. The Richard III of Shakespeare is in fact the caricature invented by John Morton, Archbishop of Canterbury and a diehard Lancastrian. For centuries, our history books were filled with the ancient political propaganda of men long dead.

This in turn suggests that much of the history we read about anything may be little more than someone’s manufactured narrative serving their interest, not our.s

  8. I asked Gemini who will win the Stanley Cup.

One of its six favourites was the Flames. The Canucks were not listed.

I think that’s all we need to know about Gemini.
