Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Time for a government bail out of Disney!!
Everything went to $hit after old Walt died, same with Steve Jobs…

Gee, my ghast is totally flabbered! s/
I’m stealing that phrase.
Either common sense will solve this problem, or the liquidators will.
Well…maybe Disney will come full circle and have a WASP male lead in a reboot of Black Panther.
John Candy would have made a great Kunta Kinte
Won’t 80 million (cough cough) Biden voters support Disney?
Perhaps if Disney released The Cocaine Kid?
FYI: When you Google ‘highest voter turnout in a US presidential election’, internet websites unanimously agree that the US presidential election of 1876 had the highest voter turnout rate (82.6% of registered voters). When you Google ‘how many registered US voters in 2020’, and ‘how many votes cast in the 2020 US presidential election’, you find that in Nov. 2020 there were 168,308,000 registered US voters (source: US Census Bureau), while the total number of votes cast in the 2020 presidential election (total votes for all 36 candidates plus write-ins) was 158,383,403 (source: Federal Election Commission). This works out to a voter turnout rate of 94.1%, or 11.5% higher than the internet’s ‘highest voter turnout for a US presidential election in history’!
Things that make you go hmmm…
Wishful thinking.
Disney is still making money. Even the worst of the new star wars made at least $300 million.
Parks, at least in the US, are still packed with people paying $150 to enter, $20 to skip the line, $8 for a bottle of water…
With a P/E of 66, it’s essentially breaking even. Given its substantial debt load, it’s for aggressive investors only.
Can you show your work for the claim of at least $300 million?
Also, that was 4 years ago, what has disney done lately?
You have internet access. Search it yourself.

$416 million budget, over a billion worldwide.
Of course, they paid 4 billion for the franchise, so subtract that from all the movies, toys, theme park rides, disney+ tie ins to other series, etc.
They’re still coming out ahead

Back in the day.. I remember Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom was on before Disney on Sunday night.. Sitting on the floor at grandmas watching that.. It was a good time to be a kid, we had our own world that belonged to us and only us..
These days, everybody is 7 years old.. Brutal..
Oh did Wild Kingdom come after?.. A long time ago
