Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

allow me to officially state l believe, l have a strong hunch the truckers protest is going to explode they are going to ‘dig in their heels’ the unspoken understanding with each trucker its now or never this is it judge squishy threw down the gaunlet so be it.
how
can
that
whole city
stay in a commerce deep freeze?
it cant.
the pressure will grow to ‘do something’ and the trucks will sit stationary many miles from the depots and receiving docks until then.
sometime what l think will happen coincides with what l want.
this is one of them.
mwahaha!!

A couple of points that haven’t been mentioned in these two cases:
1) The New York case has now set a precedent. This judgement has never been used before and if allowed to stand then every real estate developer will be charged. That is a fact you can take to the bank, precedent set!
2) In the Georgia case, this is a state trial, so why was Wade going to the White House for direction?
absolutely.
precedent is a cornerstone of justice, apparently consistency is important.
soooooo to be consistent judgey judge’s colleagues gonna have to start following suit!!
well l just watched the O’Leary clip. if what he says is true, a worst case scenario the reaction from builders coud affect 100s of billions in investent.
even if some ‘remedy’ pops out if the truckers are successful
demoncrap obedient judgey judge has shown what could happen.
migawd he has *already* started cooler heads reconsidering.
chalk one for the good guys.
p.s what &$($F&$*$K do sequestered sheltered life NYC legal cystem personnel know of the strategies and intricacies of real estate development? how much are they involved beyond perhaps part of their career closing real estate deals? to learn some of the numbers that float around?
ok, did this one have even that?
The reality is that ALL corporate valuations are BY DEFINITION … bullshit. Every. Single. One.
You simply NEVER know what the “correct” price of ANYTHING is. The price is what it last sold for. That’s it. A “valuation” is simply a hypothesis. It isn’t even a theory.
Everything else is just someone’s opinion. And we know what those are like.
There is a truism in real estate (also applied to artwork and other valuables). Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. Back in 2002, my house in Toronto was listed at $ 295,000 and sold for
$315,000, because the buyer thought it was worth that. By the way, I visited him and his wife (he has been there for 22 years now) last October. The house is worth 1.3 million dollars. Toronto real estate is crazy!
Nice bidness you got there in NYC. Be a shame if sumptin happened to it. I hope you vote Democrat.
“And don’t forget the $100,000 a plate fundraiser. Can we put you down for a table of six?”
Will the truckers follow through? So far I have seen zero follow through on anything in America these days. Only the communists keep on pushing their agenda.
Yup. I’m in wait-and-see mode, too, VOWG.
But it doesn’t take 100% to boycott to be effective. Just a WAG, but 25% ought to do it.
Even when the shelves are empty and New Yorkers are doing out of State runs for essentials, the Media will continue to lie.
“Truckers having no effect”, will be the headlines.
Shades of Monty Python’s Black Knight.
In eleven months, if he can hold off the democratic hordes, Trump may be the president that the democratic states have to go to for a bailout. Seeing as Trump is banned from doing business in/with the state of New York, he cannot, by New York law, sign off on any bailouts.
I love the irony
How much did Letitia James and the sleazy NY judge boost Trump’s campaign?
How much did NY jurisdictions overcharge Trump properties on real estate taxes?
Kevin O’Leary is a saint for showing such restraint in the face of such blatant stupidity. Is he the only one? Who else?
I could be wrong, but I’m not counting on the truckers.
It’s puzzling. The consequences of setting such a bad precedent and the boost to Trump were predictable. What’s wrong with these people? Do think the rest of the country is as stupid as their own constituents? Did they think the rest of the country wouldn’t see how utterly corrupt they are? Let’s hope that NYC pays a huuuuge financial price?
Exasperated: “What’s wrong with these people? Do think the rest of the country is as stupid as their own constituents?”
No. They don’t know anyone who voted for Trump. Everyone they know hates Trump. Almost all of D.C. hates Trump because he threatens their corrupt Uniparty business model. So… how in the World will Trump garner any support after we put him through the wringer?
The Commie-Dim analysts saw the county-by-county vote results map of the U.S. after the 2016 election. Pretty much all of the U.S. appeared red except for the major Dim-run city strongholds. All the Dims have to do is dirty up Trump enough to turn some of those red flyover counties to blue.
Except that every time the Dims/Uniperty throws something at Trump, an angel gets its wings and Trump gets another 30,000 voters.
Being involved in the business, I can say that truckers are hardworking, independent and more likely to take a stand against a liberal agenda. The perception that they are starving the city will have more impact than the actual boycott since there are a lot of bottom feeding companies that will try move in to capitalize on their absence . Owner- operators will have a choice and nyc is a terrible place for trucks anyway so that is the group that will be onside the most. Some company drivers are on forced dispatch and won’t have any choice where they are told to go. I’m not sure where the percentages of these would land. It will be interesting.
It’s not just NYC. It was announced that Remington is leaving Ilion in New York state for Georgia. Way to go Hochul.

Give it a few years and maybe the indians will buy back Manhattan for $24 worth of beads and trinkets.
