but no limits for gubmint employees or blackie mcblackface
Particularly no limits for those flying to COP meetings to save the world from humanity.
Create a separate Tier or Category entirely, for electric vehicles..
That is a terrific idea. I hope Ron DeSantis gets word of it and my State legislates a distinct auto insurance system for oil powered cars and another entirely separate system for EVs and self driving vehicles.

Any chance that insurance companies will make EV owners pay the higher premiums or is this another thing that we all get to pay for?
This isn’t an EV-owner problem. It’s everyone’s problem.
If you bump bumpers with an EV – a slow unserious accident – your insurance company might end up totaling and paying for that entire EV because they can’t tell if the batteries are damaged.
Instead of a $1000 accident bill, your insurer pays a $65,000 accident bill. On your record.
Imagine what your premiums do after that.
