That tracks. About a year ago there was a flurry of media suggesting that she get in the race. Almost immediately she did a sit down interview (which is rare) and stated for the record that she battles depression. My thoughts were that Obama was pressuring her to get in the race, and that was her response. Basically, a “salt the earth” response that she assumed would keep people from continuously pressuring her to run.

Replacing Harris won’t go well. She checks most of the right boxes and only being gay or trans would give her more victim points. However, I think the Dem’s biggest problem, as far as replacing Joe, is Jill Biden. She will drag Weekend at Bernie’s as far as she can and wants another four years in the White House. What can they offer her to get Joe to step down without her kicking and screaming? Could get ugly.
