  1. Well, THAT was an uplifting morning read – think I’ll go back to bed and hope for some reassuring nightmares to compensate.

    1. Sadly … every single one of the nightmarish tableaus enumerated by VDH are REAL! Our National nightmare is REAL! You can keep telling yourself … “it’s only a movie, it’s only a movie” … sorry kiddies … it’s REAL!! Those TV images of 20,000 illegals strolling across our open borders are REAL!! It’s NOT a movie. Those TV images of pro-Palestinian murder and rape “protestors” blocking I-5 in Seattle … with impunity and ZERO police response are REAL.

      Now … what I really want to know is what VDH envisions as the … ”unthinkable and unimaginable”? I suspect that’s when the REAL nightmare begins. I don’t see how we are going to avoid a bloody, shooting, Civil War II

        2. personally l have sufficiently reconciled the scriptural version and empirical evidence to support and be confident in my faith.
          for instance the claim the world is x years since garden of eden and y years according to geology the evolved since the Big Bang.
          try this: when did time start? did it precipitate out along with distance and energy and mass? or did 13.9999 billion years out of the 14 we’re spoon fed happen in the ‘wink of an eye’ UNIMPEDED BY TIME WHICH DID NOT YET EXIST.
          far fetched you say? well, did time have a beginning and does the pace of time change with velocity approaching light?
          here’s the thing: gauging things in the present by measuring the ‘stretch’ of the red shift, would make it look 14B old. but again, what if most of that happened instantaneously *as we measure time now* and ONLY when the ‘clock’ was SWITCHED ON was nature subjected to the present tick tick tick situation?

    Last night a friend called, from Salem New York. He’s not politically astute, but senses the political tension and is fearful of the civil war.

      1. The left has imported millions of military aged men across the southern border. And they have their antifa/BLM cannon fodder.

      2. What about when the military actively arms the millions of fighting age male illegals that were all given phones, loaded credit cards, flown throughout the states, and who have no allegiance to the Constitution or qualms about firing on Americans?

  6. Bret Weinstein recognizes that something very powerful has captured our systems. I’m wondering if the Epstein story represents a component of how our public officials have been leveraged with extortion in addition to bribery.
    It doesn’t have to be controlled by one entity but could be any number of forces that mean us ill and want to take us out of the picture, a confluence of interests as Ed Dowd says. Part of the methodology is to prevent the emergence of any public figure that would resist the schemers.

      Silly, but on the other hand it would be great to have a place to go to that excludes people who don’t believe in Math, Engineering, Quality Standards, linear thinking, creative destruction, entrepreneurship, free speech, self sufficiency, postponing gratification, persistence, accountability….

      If you read this article the teacher’s observations of the children’s belief systems are chilling. It has to be intentional, it must be to hobble the students, to handicap them, essentially, eliminating the competition .

    2. It was interesting to me to hear Weinstein express that thought to TC. He’s one of the few lifelong lefties whose scientific background alerted him that something deeply wrong was happening during the plandemic. It seems his alarm extended to the censorship and corruption of health industries and now everything else. I’ve been awake for a long time but I think it has to be impossible to view the covid scam and tyranny in isolation – I suppose many were freshly introduced to how truly corrupt and evil our once trusted leaders and institutions are. I’m glad Weinstein, among others, had the discernment to cast aside the narrative his cohorts were pushing.

    1. No surprise here but as an old man ready is not a word I really worry about. My kids, grandkids and those who should worry don’t seem to give a rat’s a$$.

      2. There is the calamity of this whole situation. We of the Boomer generation lived through the rebounding period of post war expansion, our parents taught us the benefit of work and thrift and the lessons were not fully understood. As a result we bequeathed to our kids and grandkids a heritage of thought that someone would take care of them. As they matured the someone became the government. We failed them in our benevolence and compassion to give them, what we at the time perceived to be, a better life. What we failed to understand at the time was that life is generally full of hard and soft knocks, we tried to mitigate the knocks for the post Boomer generation, only to discover now that their generation is going to inherit a harder knock than the Greatest Generation, our parents, lived through. Some of us tried to instill hard work, industry and thrift but we were playing with a deck that was stacked against us. That is small comfort when we are all involved in the public collective guilt. We may not be around to see or experience the final outcome but that does not excuse us from trying to correct the situation that we are now in. I will not forgive, forget, nor comply.

        1. The counterculturalist faction of we Baby Boomers were cute and amusing when they spoke of Peace and Freedom. Sexual Freedom, Free Love, An end to War, and rejection of a life of hard work. Cute and amusing young, naive, kids. But then they grew up … and inherited the wealth of their hardworking parents … and took high paying jobs in the high tech world created by the likes of old white men “Hewlett and Packard”. Then … the cute radical kids had all the POWER! They were operating the levers of our culture and society.

          It was only when the radicals acquired the POWER, that their once cute and amusing naivety turned DARK. Free Love wasn’t enough … now they FORCE your kids to embrace Gay and Trans “Love” (read: carnal lust). It wasn’t enough that our generation had cleaned up the environment, but now we must “save the planet” … by destroying our energy infrastructure. It’s not enough that America remains the beacon of success and wealth … but we must transfer that wealth to anyone and everyone with a grievance.

          My generation has proven that we’ve never grown up … and never actually EARNED what we TOOK as our birthright. They say the first generation who inherit family wealth squander it with impunity. That is us. We Boomers have made a mess of what we’ve been given. All of our cute … naive … good intentions have been mangled into a massive Gulag of Fascist and Totalitarian control.

          Goodbye sweet America … we are hearing the death rattles daily … and they’re getting louder.

    2. Given the scope and magnitude of the problems Hanson mentions, does anyone truly believe Trump would solve them? That things can be set to rights peacefully? The radical, authoritarian, left has gone all-in; there’s no retreat for them from the path they’re taking us. Thus there’s no way they can take the chance of allowing a potentially vengeful disruptor like Trump to succeed. Something very terrible it’s on its way. It’s been said many times before but is so apt: “An evil man will burn his own nation to the ground to rule over the ashes.”

      2. But … DeSantis or Nikki Haley could? RFK Jr. could? No thank you. I’ll take my best shot FIRST. And that is Trump … the only true iconoclast who will do his best to smash the Deep State … not be part of it … the only candidate with a PLAN to restore the middle class.

  8. How about an ongoing thread on “Irish democracy” and what it might look like in 2024, strategies and tactics, above and beyond boycotts, ie jamming up the surveillance systems?

    We sure could use an ingoing thread on updated tactics to establish Irish Democracy, in 2024, in a high tech environment? There have to be vulnerabilities.

Resist the temptation of carrying your phone everywhere, jam up the surveillance systems engaging in inane, frivolous, contradictary searches online, don’t engage with the MS culture and support alternative culture….., give out bogus information (I often wonder if this would work on hackers and fraudsters, waste their time and resources. im just scratching the surface here….what else???

  10. It requires courage and people who will back that courage with their blood if need be. Does anyone see that courage? I do not.

    1. I occasionally watch 1st amendment audit and cop watcher videos on YT. There used to be only a handful doing this valuable service but now there’s an ever growing number of citizens documenting their efforts to hold local officials accountable and promoting transparency in government.

      Watching these videos can be infuriating because of the contempt many public employees have for citizens exercising their rights. However, they are a great example of people, on a local level, performing an important function of raising awareness of rights and the limitations of bureaucrats/government.

      Luckily for the auditors the US has enumerated and enshrined rights, though they are under attack. No such luck here where group rights supercede individuals, and the courts typically accede to government violations.
