    Feminists were at first advocates solely for women. But then intersectional theory came along, and they decided that they had to be advocates for all oppressed people, the idea being that there would be no conflict of interest as they all had a single enemy — heterosexual white males.

    Except there are conflicts of interest between these groups, and feminists are tying themselves in knots trying to serve multiple masters.

    1. Exactly so, KM. And because of the conflicts to which you refer, #MeToo has blown its credibility to bits on its main issue of all women assaulted anywhere and everywhere. No one has any reason to believe #MeToo on anything anymore after their very bad show of support for Hamas.

  3. Broad brushing it, but I’m going with, in part, be ause they are hopelessly naive. It seems to me that these simps have no contact with the rank and file, or with the Muslim Street. The Western educated, technocratic, pencil pusher caste is exposed to Muslims who come from a privileged background, much like their own. Naturally they have collegial relationships with them and are indignant and defensive over what they label Islamaphobia.
    It’s also because, for many of them, the accusations of rape are a cynical tool.

To expand on Kate’s succinct answer, the left is engaged in cultural revolution, the use of cultural Marxism (post modern nihilism) to hollow out western civilization in order to bring about the next variant of collectivism resembling feudalism, perhaps with a fascist twist to enable technocratic corporatism under “their” state. The Judeo-Christian inheritance of western civilization is an impediment to that project. Much like the Third Reich, the modern left has allied with Islam as dependable partners in their 1400 year record of animosity towards western civilization. Despite the obvious delusions inherent with an alliance with a supremacy theocracy, the left, specifically the feminists, see the rape of Jews perhaps in the same way they see Christian women as not real women. That they don’t see compliant Islamic women as the antithesis of “feminism” is more evidence of the arrived Orwellian nature of the left.

      1. The age of reason was a divergence from tribalism. Liberty, individualism, natural rights, minimal government – these are revolutionary concepts where without “eternal vigilance”, societies naturally revert to tribalism and various forms of serfdom. Democracy on its own is just another way of getting there.

  12. Feminists have never done anything useful, in all the waves, thus their silence during turmoil is not at all surprising.

    Most women do not consider themselves victims, and can make it on their own, if they have a backbone and leadership capacities, which most choose not to exercise.

    Affirmative action has been proven to be a failed policy; ditto the new version, DEI. Talented people want to earn their credentials.

      And then we get to MeToo and it’s heavily nuanced approach that seeks to award a starlet who really, really wants that movie role with millions while throwing the producer, who she took a knee for, so to speak, and throwing him in jail.

        How’s that been working out so far?

        One of the arguments made against universal suffrage by women was that being able to vote must necessarily come with the attendant responsibilities – such as being subject to the draft. But that didn’t happen, did it? First wave feminists were happy to accept all the privileges of the franchise while ducking all the duties.

        Because it was never about equality. It was about special privileges for women. Feminism was a civilizational shit test from day one, and the West failed.
