Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Old news!
That was yesterday…it’s higher now…
Yes indeed, it expands exponentially.
Moody’s just cut its rating on US banks citing mounting credit risk and office space issues
“I feel the ground shaking, Grandpa!”
“Must be your imagination son, because I don’t feel a thing.”
If people are so stupid as to rack up HUGE amounts of debt, then that is sad. But as a character on Coronation Street said a few years back, “We all have a sad story, mine is that I have to listen to you!”
As well, heard on the Roy Green show on Sunday, that a large number of people in the GTA are super excited that Taylor Swift is performing 6 shows next year. The tickets are something between $ 300/seat to over $ 500/seat. Adele’s tickets in Las Vegas are $ 1,000.00 per seat. And people like to “bitch and moan” about the cost of living. If you can afford expensive concert tickets, then do not complain about the cost of living.
BM
You are on a roll, now that is a stupid attitude. Yes $$$$ context is important, but so is some ME time, and that always costs $$$$, which can be used to survive. But simply surviving is NOT living. I am spending about 6K on a short vacation, and will still complain about the cost of living.
I’ve spent over 6K for cruises which I enjoyed FOR 19 DAYS INCLUDING FOOD , DRINKS, EXCURSIONS AND ACCOMMODATION, not for a 3 hour concert of songs that I have downloaded and unless I’m in VIP seats in which you will hardly see the stage or performer. Yes context is important , but stupidity always trumps.
BM, agreed, but that’s nothing. The auction prices for Taylor Swift concert tickets in Toronto are up to $13,000 for a single ticket in the 100-level. Anyone wasting 13 grand to see Taylor Swift for two hours has no business whining about cost of living.
Yes, but isn’t the Rogers Centre an intimate setting for a concert with fine acoustics and sight lines? 🙂
The only ones there who have 13 grand to waste will be a bunch of druglords or entitled twats from the uselessly rich and not famous. But then, “entitled twat” is Taylor Swift’s principal job description.
on average, how many entitled twats make charitable donations of this number:

A statement about the absolute amount of debt is meaningless. What matters are the assets against which it is leveraged, and the ability of those holding the debt to make its interest payments and discharge it.
How much “debt” triggered the latest US banks bailout this year?
well l wouldnt say meaningless, but correct there are other aspects of debt to gauge risk.
my credit card balance is $2.91 to my credit
all in preparation for a giant shift somewhere involving debt.
frankly I would have guessed it much higher.
First thought: 1 Trillion divided by 330 Million is $3-$4 per person, right?
Oops! Forgot that whole Billion thing, it’s actually around $3,000 per person, including the children.
Yeah, we’re screwed.
You forgot to mention the assets against that debt.
But, but, but … just think of all the Travel Awards $$$$ !!
