Update: Alberta court strikes down Hinshaw’s public health orders that violated Charter freedoms
The Alberta court struck down these lockdown measures because they were effectively issued by Cabinet rather than by the CMOH. Dr. Hinshaw testified at trial that politicians were the final decision-makers and she merely provided advice and recommendations.

Something that comes from Neil Oliver that is very appropriate for this topic.

Has the flock been led to the slaughter house by the shepards? Time will tell.
I stopped reading when I got to the part that said that one of Canada’s major sins was not sharing it’s vaccine supply globally.
That inaction alone probably saved more lives than the so-called “vaccine” ever could.
But that is always part of their solution to everything. You pay, we take….
Firing doctors and nurses because they would not take the jab, when the jab was harmful, and did not prevent transmission for an illness that killed less than 0.06% of the population and had a average mortality age of 84 years old in people with 2 or 3 existing co-morbidities. The article doesn’t even approach reality – it is a political hit piece short on facts and long on rhetoric. We had an EMO plan that would have solved the problem without generalized lockdowns, without masking and social distancing and without vaccination that had a predetermined cost of 2 Billion dollars. Trudeau borrowed $600 Billion, sent the economy into a downward inflationary spiral, violated the God given rights of most of the citizenry, and continues to be idiotic, pain in the ass to this very day. And the vaunted “free” healthcare system is still reeling from the impact, on its last legs.
“Firing doctors and nurses because they would not take the jab, when the jab was harmful,”
And then complaining that the healthcare system was understaffed. Social media was full of hateful people declaring that anyone who refused the jab “didn’t deserve to work in the heath care system”…really? So you didn’t find it odd that the people on the inside who were far more familiar with COVID-19 and the potential consequences of it than most laymen were among the most leery of the mRNA ‘vaccinations’?
These would be the same people who were calling for unvaccinated people to be *denied* healthcare services. True scum.
This continues, to this day in BC.
Over 3,000 health care personnel were fired, and are still not allowed to work in BC. Though, they can work now in Alberta…..
Estimates are that up to TWICE that number retired from the system as well, to avoid the Clot Shot.
Just look at the mess today in BC health care, from the frequently closed small town ERs on weekends, to long lineups in ERs, lack of GPs, general nursing shortages. It’s all ideological thanks to Commie Dix, all fallen apart under him. Criticism from the media? Hell no, Unifor has issued instructions to not criticize their ideological partners.
This province is a mess and the citizens are too cowed to put 2+2 together.
Dan it is in Doug Ford’s Ontario too, not mandated by the province but the various hospital associations and boards mandate (which are creatures of the province). Nuts.
Doug Ford’s Ontario is now sending letters out to seniors urging them to get more injections.
The world expected more from Canada: Canada is among the healthiest and most diverse nations in the world, with free universal healthcare…
Gawd how I hate that when I see it! It isn’t free and it’s a long ways from being healthcare.
None of us have regretted not taking it !!!
Healthcare spending is just 5% of government spending?
Say what?
from the BMJ article;
“Fourth, it must provide an actionable framework for reforming Canada’s healthcare and public health systems, which were struggling pre-pandemic and are currently on life support. For health workers, the post-pandemic feeling is exacerbation—even rage—about the inertia of governments, health authorities, and professional medical associations and their failure to tackle the depth of the dysfunction in Canada’s healthcare landscape. For the public health system, which receives just 5% of the country’s health spending, continued functioning with such poor investment is unfeasible. For research, the pandemic further exposed Canada’s inadequate support for delivering science and innovation. Much of the core technology underpinning the mRNA vaccines was developed in Canada then never capitalised on, resulting in the Canadian government spending billions of dollars acquiring vaccine to protect its citizens during covid from an innovation it had helped develop.19”..
Are they hiving off the “cost” of Public Health bureaus, from the “Free Health Care” that is bankrupting us?
OK need more coffee.
They are.
Personal orders for Ivermectin are still being blocked by Health Canada. This confirms that our health care institutions are not acting in the best interests of Canadians and that a control agenda is still in place. Recent legislation to control access to herbal medicine and other non-pharmacrutical and alternative medical procedures confirms medical choice is under attack. Will we soon need a prescription to buy vitamin D?
RE Health care
Article is June 23 – This is Danielle Smiths Alberta. Unvaxxed woman still denied surgury – has to go to US and pay for it out of her own pocket.
Election is over, she has majority. No excuses. Rescinding any requirement for care based on vax status should have been done day one.

Surprised Trudeau will let her escape and that Biden doesn’t return her.
The court decision in Alberta sends a cold chill up my spine. It seems that the health orders were void because the government did not give complete discretion to the health bureaucracy. The judge was just fine with the violation of constitutional “rights.” We are being set up for the absolute take over of government by the health bureaucracy the next time there is a health “emergency.”
That was my reaction. This isn’t really a win.
A win would be saying that a free society respects bodily autonomy and an individual’s right to decide on their medical treatment without threats, bribes or coercion. That the role of public health and politicians is limited to advice, education and recommendations.
Are there exceptions? Of course, but those exceptions should be only allowed in extreme circumstances where no other options exist. During covid, there were other options. Having natural immunity or testing negative should have been the maximum amount of interference allowed…and even then, it’s debatable.
I wouldn’t wish a divorce on my worst enemies, but I’m delighted what’s happening to Justin. Now if the rest of the women in Canada can figure out what a piece of trash he is.
I was right, as in correct.
