    1. I normally don’t think of Brian Lilley as a true conservative ever since he moved to Toronto (and probably even before that), but after reading his lede, I thought that he may be on to something, until I read deeper into the article that essentially made the claim (or at least, insinuated) that Trudeau isn’t a criminal. If the people in that vid truly lost their minds, it’s because of straight-up anger at what Trudeau has done to this country.
Given that, Lilley does raise a valid concern that the liberal liars will take this footage, and use it to justify their claims that anyone who is anti-Trudeau is a Trump-loving, white-supremacist, misogynist, transphobic, homophobic bigot. Trudeau is probably smiling from ear to ear at the spectacle, because he knows that it may very well serve as a liberal rallying cry in the next election.
Those Trump and F-Trudeau flags have got to disappear from future protests. It’s bad optics for the conservative movement.

      1. Those…F-Trudeau flags have got to disappear from future protests. It’s bad optics for the conservative movement.

        No.

Trudeau locked down Canadians during the Coof and all but declared martial law, froze the bank accounts of Trucker protesters, opened Roxham Road to illegal aliens, is trying to destroy Western Canadian carbon-based energy and replacing it w/ shit renewables, hates Westerners (especially Albertans), is taxing the hell out of all Canadians in the name of Globull Warming, is pushing the AlphaBetty narrative, is pissing away taxpayers’ hard earned $$$ on [spit] Prog projects the world around (I could go on, but Kate would need a bigger blog) and you’re worried about optics?

Only when those flags cover the view to the horizon in all 4 directions will there be enough of them.

        Fukc Trudeau!!!

        1. Nothing you wrote in any way counters fc’s clearly correct point that these flags are stupid and counterproductive. Yahoos need to sit down and shut up.

          1. Why don’t you lead by example and take your own advice? Oh right. Trolling is your raison d’etre.

          2. Because I’m not a yahoo. I am one of the educated urban ubermensch that runs the culture.

      2. Like hell.

I agree with biker. If you’re ashamed of what you allegedly stand for, no one wants or needs you.

        Your spine is missing.

If in some way, you imagine yourself as less or more acceptable, based on what someone else does or mouths, you’re one of them.

      3. It is extremely naive to believe conservatives can compromise enough they won’t be portrayed as knuckle daggers. Sheer and O’Toole have both shown that. Much better to go down swinging than cowering in the corner. Much the same as DeSantis and Trump who are now according to Msbs, the view ect.are the reincarnation of an Italian dictator.

    2. I suspect some team members carry obnoxious signs and flags around to pull out at any anti-Trudeau demo.

    1. You accuse your opponents of what you yourself re doing. Classic progressive tactic.

      1. Ukraine did not invade russia and did not kidnap russian children, russia invaded Ukraine and kidnapped Ukrainian children, shortbus.

        1. “You are describing Russia perfectly.”

Thanks, Allan, for yet another of your classic “I know you are…but what am I?” arguments. If you were to challenge a bunch of 12-14 year old kids to a debate, you would definitely kick some ass.

          (here, not so much…)

          1. “Thanks, Allan, for yet another of your classic “I know you are…but what am I?” arguments.”

That is precisely what Robbie has done above, and to what Allan replied, you amoeba. How long is your attention span?

And the reality remains: russification = genocide.

Russia cannot be allowed to exists for it threatens the existence of its betters. Once and for all russia needs to be dismantled. Demilitarized to behind the Ural. Russian fifth column in the West needs to be dealt with too. Hard.

Muscovy delenda est (don’t forget the salt).

    1. colon rectomus
kyiv polifacts and uk polifacts, and some may wonder why a Canukistan gov’t employee like you spreads bullschiff like you do. Kate needs to step up and punt an A$$hole like you!

        1. fc
the pedo supporter, I’m being carefull, and had forgot about the RCC pedo lover ,YOU!

        2. Fc, forget it, there is no point trying to reason with the feces howling mildly retarded baboon.

    2. A pretty loud and clear sign that Putin and others in the Kremlin are terrified of more putsches.

  1. Anthony Benedetto left us yesterday at age 96.

Tony Bennet singer artist and interpreter of the Great American Song Book left his Heart in San Francisco for the last time.

I saw him once when his long time accompanist Ralph Sharon was still with him. Impeccably dressed he wove his way through an evening of Gershwin, Roger’s and Hart, Sammy Cahn etc. His love for the music was obvious and he hit every note right in the middle.

His career was not riddled by scandal. Unusual by today standard.

    Thank you sir.

    1. Well said – a total class act (plus a “snappy” dresser”). I have his “Duets” album in which he recorded with various modern day artists as Lady Gaga, Bono, Celine Dion and many others. Will play it tonight to honour his memory.

  2. I had a long-standing girlfriend who sang 1930s-1950s tunes in Ottawa, who had a huge collection of club singers. She held Mr. Bennett in very high regard. We used to listen to his records . Peggy Lee and Patti Page too. Btw, she had old early 1950s LPS of Doris Day singing good jazz music. This was before she sanitized her image for TV and movies.

    1. DM
Doris was a singer and could lean to the jazz side.

She was in Vegas when the mob ran the town. One nite on the Carson show Johnny asked her about the mob running the strip and how they dealt with troublemakers.

” Yes, people were killed Doris replied, but only those who needed to be killed. “

  3. My above post was supposed to be a reply to Trapper.

Further to SDA discussions yesterday, those conservatives who have cable or satellite TV might want to consider cancelling the CMT network: https://www.thestreet.com/entertainment/conservative-says-popular-brand-should-get-the-target-disney-treatment

As discussed yesterday, CMT network is owned by Paramount Media, essentially a Paramount Pictures/CBS media merger who bought out CMT and other small media. So it’s run by the same millionaire suits who run the pro-Democratic-Party CBS News. CMT needs the Kid Rock treatment on YouTube.

CMT cancels Ray Aldean’s “Don’t Try That in a Small Town”. So conservatives should cancel CMT.

  4. SDAers weeks ago celebrated Global TV dehiring one Rachel Aiello, a hard-left conservative-baiter who declared war on the Freedom Convoy, and who went on to bait pro-children, anti-China conservatives. So now Bell Media has hired her to do the same shtick for CTV news:
    https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/rachel-aiello-1.3561976

So now Aiello has a bigger platform and an all-news network to spread woke propaganda. Power and money count.

  5. As I’ve noted before, You wanna play a cat? Fine. You get the entire treatment: spayed or neutered, canned food or live rodents and/or birds, litter box in the back of the classroom w/ no privacy. If those don’t deter you, it will definitely confirm your mental illness & we send ya in for treatment. Win/win.

School board prohibits students from dressing like animals…and progressives pounce

    https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2023/07/school_board_prohibits_students_from_dressing_like_animalsand_progressives_pounce.html

    1. Also cats don’t go to school, so why are they there? And apparently there are American schools that provide litter boxes.

  6. If they admit to 1/3, you can bet your sweet patootie it’s twice that.

COVID Panic infected freedom of choice

    https://www.bostonherald.com/2023/07/21/howie-carr-covid-panic-infected-freedom-of-choice/

So the Democrats’ religious tract, The New York Times, has let the cat out of the bag. But only in the 17th paragraph of a story very few people read, about the declining number of deaths from the CCP-created virus.

“The official number is probably an exaggeration because it includes some people who had virus when they died even though it was not the underlying cause of death.”

Now they tell us! In the 17th paragraph no less.

“Other CDC data suggests that almost one-third of official recent COVID deaths have fallen into this category. A study published in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases came to similar conclusions.”

    1. Climate is such a complicated system we probably won’t understand it, if we ever do, for centuries. The single greatest weakness of the Climate Nutter’s alarmist argument is their simplistic belief that anything that complicated is controlled by a single factor, such as CO2; and yet they prattle on and on and on, constantly proclaiming their ignorance via their absurd claims of knowledge.

      1. …anything that complicated is controlled by a single factor…

‘Cause math is hard for Progs and they have difficulty counting higher than ‘one’…

        1. Kate should hold a party for SDA regulars someday, so we can all get together. Someplace in SK, with a shit-ton of beer.

    2. Fighting Back.
I just learned that Exxon and Chevron have historically been the two firms with the highest carbon emissions in the world.
Given all the benefits of carbon emissions for both the climate and plant life, I will be adding both of them to my retirement investment account next week.

  7. The first mistake was to let this ‘work from home’ malarkey begin the in first place. The second was to let it continue, long after the Coof lies were exposed. Are you listening, Blackie? Get the gov’t bastards back in their offices and put their noses to the grindstone!

Remote Work Estimated To Wipe Out $800 Billion in Office Value in These Nine Global Cities

    https://www.costar.com/article/1884051073/remote-work-estimated-to-wipe-out-800-billion-in-office-value-in-these-nine-global-cities

    1. “Developing mixed-use neighborhoods, constructing more adaptable buildings, and designing multiuse office and retail space can help protect cities’ vibrancy,” McKinsey said.

It will be interesting when your apartment is full of rats because the Chinese Restaurant next door doesn’t take out their garbage. Plus the dimming lights when the other neighbor is running his welder is a nice touch. Or is everyone expected to be office / retail?

      1. I think that’s what code enforcement is for. What stupid reasons to complain about property rights.

  8. Doug Ford is better than Danielle Smith even with some god-awful policies like the subsidized battery plants. This article does a pretty good job listing his achievements. Ford has good people in his cabinet.

    https://nationalpost.com/opinion/doug-ford-pcs-deserve-more-credit

What’s really most striking is how Ford’s reign puts Mike Harris and his ‘Common Sense Revolution’ to shame. Harris was the very model of having your heart more or less in the right place but failing completely at follow-through. Populism failed then as it does now.

    1. You expecting someone, anyone, to come rushing to DS’ defence? She’s a proven liar, a confirmed traitor, a career opportunist, and a (spit) Prog in conservative clothes. In other words, your kind of people. I’m surprised you’re not defending her, rather than being critical.

    1. “The true believers in Forever War show up at every opportunity. ”

It seems to be an obsession that they have no control over.

    2. Good, since you never have anthing of substance to add, ypu may as well stay out.

      1. “Good, since you never have anthing of substance to add, ypu may as well stay out.”

Keep trying, loser. I’ll be right here when the inevitable ceasefire and peace talks are announced, just one of the many people gleefully rubbing your nose in it.

  9. We all know how food costs have risen, and I know there are many families who can use some help.

I never used to believe much in food banks. My experience had been that they were abused by, how should I say, lazy people less desirable?

That’s not the case any longer, so here’s how I am trying to help.
