  4. Not that my organs are what I would classify as pristine at my age I will say here now it I would curse those who do so. Fouck them all for even contemplating that issue without some sort of pr-existing organ donation decree.

  5. It’s against the law for force charitable contributions in the private AND the public domain. This wouldn’t survive a cursory legal challenge.

    Fortunately, that’s not what this new law states. You can still opt out of organ donation. They just switched the implications 180 degrees around such that to opt out you must do just that. Previously, you were automatically excluded unless you opted in.

    This is no big deal, and you’re blowing it out of proportion.

    Essentially, they’re throwing a net to catch the lazy people. Fine with me.

    1. It’s the same thing as negative billing and it catches people unawares. You’re not lazy if you have to opt out of something you never opted in to. Informed consent is a basic principal in health care. This is not informed consent.

  7. I’ve been saying for years that socialized health care means that the state owns you and now it’s official. I actually don’t have a problem with organ donation from consenting adults but these Bolsheviks and Jacobins could care less about “consent”. They “presume” consent and you have to take action in “opting out”, IOW they force you to appear guilty by saying no. Altruism to totalitarianism.

  10. I recall a talk at least 15 years ago from a fellow who warned against signing the organ donation card. At that time there were something like 19 different criteria to establish ‘brain death’. Being an Uyghuri wasn’t there then but probably qualifies now.

  15. Years ago The Epoch Times ran a series of articles on how the gov’t of China was removing organs from the Falon Gong folks, while they were still alive.
    In order to confirm this, the gov’t of China denied it was occurring, thus confirming it to all those who know the country of China is nearly filled to the brim with +1 billion liars.

    It shouldn’t be surprising to those in the know of how the various gov’ts in Canada operate, that is has arrived in tier 2 Canada as well.
    Chinese influence within Canada’s various gov’ts? What what?!?!?!

Either you are of no use to us OR your organs are of more use to us so you are definitely “dying”.

  17. I would not wish my organs on anyone, having had a very full and enjoyable life, including 56 years of drinking wine and smoking. If rejected by the recipient, well that would be a smart outcome.

    That said, NB has outpaced BC as the craziest province in Canada. Maybe too many wimmen running the health gong show.

    1. As an old man I have refused to sign donor cards. A medical fact is, that putting my organs in someone 70 years younger is foolish. The kidneys, liver, etc are all ready too old for any long term success with a transplant.
      Medical care has become a government controlled gong show.

  20. You’re all missing a very important point: who is making money on it? Doctors, hospitals, bureaucracies, the State, all make money on organ donations. The only people not making money are the donors (usually because it’s against the law). It’s the most ghoulish of robberies.
