Crocodiles as species go back 95 mill yrs, they live 70-100 years and conditions are just mud&heat, can reproduce by themselves, offspring taken care of only ~1 yr.
While us-humans have a history of only 100-200K yrs, we live 70-100 but need AC etc, kids need close care for 18 yrs at least and they still can’t decide what gender they are or want to be.
We can make shoes out of them.

crocodile’s virgin birth offers “tantalizing insights” into whether dinosaurs — an ancestor of the crocodile — may have also been able to reproduce asexually.
13 egg’s were found but only one had a 99.9% identity to the crocodile.

There is an Arabic tribe that believes their next Mohamed will be born that way but I never dreamed it might happen in lizards?

I may be mistaken, but if memory serves dinosaurs are not ancestors of crocodiles, though they both have a common ancestor. I would have to look up the name, so I’ll leave it to you if you are interested.
The only known living descendents of dinosaurs are birds.
