Al Jazeera, June 1st: With 82 blazes burning out of control, Canada confronts a record early wildfire season that has scorched 2.7 million hectares.
Western Standard News, June 5th: Investigations into the three fires have determined each of them to be an act of arson
Flashback: Glendon woman convicted of four counts of mischief, after admitting to setting 32 fires

The left is happy to rule over the ashes so long as they rule.
Well, dammit, if the climate won’t co-operate, we’ll just have to do it ourselves! Or, you know, we’re doomed.
Funny how “bush fires” has changed to “wild fires”.
That’s as surprising as when Anderson cooper came out of the closet.
If there wasn’t a lightning storm, chances are very good it was arson.
In the Good Old days in northern B.C., a certain group used to start fires every year to get a little extra money fighting them. The only difference now is the motive of the arsonists. Probably fans of Stephen Guilbeault.
Arrest all the agw cult members and we’d fix wildfire season I bet.
“Alberta produces the majority of Canada’s oil and is also the country’s highest-polluting province.”
I thought that would be Ontario with all the industries. But I guess I should believe Al-Jazeera, it’s not like its owners have a vested interest in keeping Western oil out of the market.
Go to the Canadian Wildfire Information System website. You’ll see that the frequency and severity of Canadian wildfires has decreased since 1980.
Our newspapers aren’t capable of this brilliant level of research of obscure sources.

And I suspect the fires from 1900 to 1940 had much higher burned acreage.
That is unless Catherine McKenna had the numbers erased.
Well what is the big deal?
The Novia Scotian’s are so desperate for some of that Global Warming stuff, that they had to set the woods on fire, just trying to collect some of that stuff the Liberals keep promising.
Of course when the rains come, all the politicians and career fire fighter will tell us all how great they are..See the fires are out..
Give us more money..
Funny how much fuel is littering the forest floors, almost like higher intensity fires are being planned..
Except these “government Forestry Experts” are too bloody stupid to support that suspicion.
Lets see..
Government forestry 101.
Forbid clear cutting.
Forbid burning of the slash.
Insist forestry roads be abandoned, bridges taken out..
And make it near impossible to log anywhere..
And then, when the decadent timber burns?
No firebreaks.
High intensity fires.
No land access.
and did I mention, tons of fuel..
Old time forester,said this.
The trees are coming off the land.
That is a certainty.
Wether they leave as ash or as useful timber…?
Well that we can have some say in.
Lawyer up boys…
They’ve opened themselves to class action lawsuits.
At all levels…they’re just piss poor and negligent at their jobs.
The planet has to be destroyed … to save the planet. Behold the deep thoughts of your average global Warmist Marxist.
Another juxtoposition:
Just a few years ago that we were told that climate change was causing all the floods in Quebec and to expect more in the years to come. Only a carbon tax will save us.
Now, it’s so dry (HOW DRY IS IT?!?!)…It’s so dry forests are catching fire. We have climate change to thank and expect more in the years to come. Only a carbon tax will save us.
Forests burn. Same as it ever was. It’s the only way white pines can propagate, by the way. Not that there’s many left. As much of the forests that burn, there’s friggin’ awful lot of it left. I have trouble enough PREVENTING more trees growing in my yard. Damn maples! Anyway, if you’re not going to manage the forests, like in California, you’re going to have problems. Fires love dry fuel. In that case, fighting forest fires, you might as well dump money on the flames. That said, arsonists should have the book thrown at them. Match book.
The Alberta fires started just in time for the writ drop of the provincial election. Notely knows who started the burning.
Correct, then the story how Smith was denying Federal help to deal with them.
First thought, Trudeau/climate change/control of Alberta via the NDP coalition.
So predictable.
