Go Blue, Boo Hoo

The move of the company’s sales and marketing hub from St. Louis to New York in 2015, several years after Anheuser-Busch was acquired by global giant InBev, has been a point of contention. Some wholesalers have pushed the brewer to move those marketers back to St. Louis, arguing that executives in New York are out of touch with the drinkers of the company’s flagship brands.

  1. The execs no doubt are riding out the storm hoping drinkers will slowly return. I’m not so sure that’ll happen…boycotts are one thing, this is morphing into a lifestyle change which is a different critter.

Pictures of Alissa Heinerscheid warming up a can of beans under a bridge might help

      1. Boy/buycotts on either side of the political aisle tend not to last very long, but this is different. I get the feeling that Main Street USA has had enough of playing by Marquis of Queensbury rules and has decided to take InBev’s scalp publicly pour encourager les autres. At this point if InBev publicly fired all the execs involved and issued a public apology for their poor judgement I don’t think it would matter. This is an InBev delenda est situation.

  2. Commodity beer sales meets marketing via the post modern nihilist, diversity and inclusion team. Yah, just keep hiring those grads from the institutions marinating in nihilist bilge, that’ll work.

  3. Has anyone noted that most mergers and acquisitions land in the dumpster?

  4. Good idea. Alissa Heinerscheid never would have taken the job if it had been in St. Louis and this whole debacle could have been avoided.
