From the perspective of the corporation itself, however, the desire to keep a perfect CEI score is what drives these types of ad campaigns. Stakeholder capitalism is global leftism that is using the threat of cutting off investment capital as a way to capture corporations and drive a particular and pernicious collectivist agenda. It’s a type of fascism in the service of global communism. Groups like BlackRock and Vanguard control entire master narratives aimed at undermining a western liberal order, and they have the power to incentivize behavior by either the carrot or the stick. The behavior they wish to incentivize, it is increasingly apparent, is behavior that eventually removes guardrails to individual rights and trains those raised with western sensibilities to become more amenable to a new set of standards by which your betters will run things for you, and you can stop thinking so much, binge your Netflix, and eat your bugs.

In a school yard a bully is one person. Just look at what that one person can do. Look at how that one person instills fear into most everyone near him. Those who are not directly impacted by the bully, carry on with their daily routines, ignorant of what is happening around them. Occasionally the bully manages to have a few “friends” stand with him. This serves to increase his power, thus encouraging him to continue.
Less beers sold will produce more grain to feed the world and animals that fart.

Would love to see a revolve against corn oil ethanol put into gas tanks to destroy my vehicles engine’s.
“Stakeholder capitalism is global leftism that is using the threat of cutting off investment capital as a way to capture corporations and drive a particular and pernicious collectivist agenda.”
That may be part of it, but I think it goes deeper than that. They are flat out trying to take down Capitalism from the inside.
Here’s hoping that what happened with Bud Light is a warning to other corporations. Doubt it.
the people who care are going to have to treat this like a zombie apocalypse.. go off grid to try to damage ,blackrock state st. etc.there is no other way to take down these behemoths.
There is a good graph at Principia Scientific today. Shows that CO2 was over 5000 ppm in the past and that now at 420 ppm we are approaching the dangerous level, too little CO2. Of course the terminally stupid want us and them to die.
VOWG: The terminally stupid don’t know anything, have usually never worked a day in their lives and have all things given to them that is the problem. Now we have gov’t that wants to Just feed them drugs…keep them stupid or kill them MAID is becoming really popular for the old an easy way out. Canadians and American need to start to fight for their RIGHTS to Speak and Live FREE. The Time Is NOW or WHEN!!

Shareholder capitalism operates under the assumption that the owners of a business (the shareholders) should decide the objectives and methods of operation.
Stakeholder capitalism believes anyone who feels affected by any aspect of a business should have a say, even if they do not have any investment or direct involvement. The most tenuous connection can be leveraged to force anything from who can be hired/ who should be fired, to what products can be made, etc.
Laws and government regulation used to be considered sufficient to prevent business excesses since the public supposedly has some say on the composition of government through elections. This is not working fast enough or going far enough for those convinced they have are infallibly correct: who needs elections when you can apply pressure across borders and jurisdictions to get what you want.
This is shareholder capitalism, though. The leverage Blackrock and Vanguard have is their ability to purchase – or not – shares in the companies whose behaviour they wish to direct.
I’m not sure there’s a fix for that. I know people whose small businesses have been bought by the likes of Norton/Symantec and Google over the years, and most people are happy to take the buy-your-own-Caribbean-island money and let them have the company.
There is no ‘fix’ because nothing is broken here. This is primarily a battle of ideas and Vanguard/BR are just along for the ride not driving it.
Why do you bother to post here?
Bad shit = male brewed beer
Good shit = female brewed beer
Can there be a more irrelevant component to beer-making? My next door neighbor brews his own beer … really good shit … the man has an incredible setup and knows what he’s doing. He brews all kinds of beer, and even brews a “Pliny the Elder” clone that is almost identical to the Russian River original …

It’s a funny thing … that I never think of his penis when I drink his beer … or his wife’s vagina for that matter. I think of how expensive his ingredients are … and how his beer actually costs more to brew than the crap you buy in the Safeway beer case – including all the sin-taxes heaped on the sale. So if you want “the good shit” … you’re gonna have to $Pay$ for it! Dear Miller Brewing: the cost of your cheap swill is far too expensive for me … because it’s costing me a lecture about how my manhood isn’t worth shit. Woman Puhleeze … go peddle that shit to your lesbian friends … cause it’s adding too much to the cost of your swill beer for me.
But perhaps you’ll expand the number of lesbian beer drinkers … good luck with that.
We’re being corralled. Yes, all well and good to boycott BudLight/Miller Light and we should. But try this on for size…what if all the beer companies sign on to the ESG scores and the “woke agenda”…then what? Gonna tell me you’ll start brewing your own beer?? Don’t be daff. But that’s what’s happening. We’re being slow rolled.
Our enemy knows us all too well. We’re consumer sluts. Today it’s Bud Light and Ford – those things we can probably live without. (BTW…see any apology from Anheiser Busch of late? No. In fact they’ve doubled down) Tomorrow it’ll be Swift Foods, McCains, Loblaws, Weston and Maple Leaf Foods…stuff the average joe really does need,
Blackrock’s Larry Fink knows this. He also knows money is the grease that lubes the rails of the woke agenda. He really is an evil prick.
Call it backdoor communism.
Larry Fink. My God! If I had a name like that I’d change it the second I turned 18.
burton: I couldn’t have said it any better!
Here in Wisconsin, we have the New Glarus Brewing Company. Privately owned and producing great beer(s). To paraphrase Bart Simpson, have a (Spotted) Cow!
Oh that’s a great rebuttal you şhîť headed āşş pimple. Think about it. You reap what you sow.
Mean while, Gates is up to 270,000 acres (109,265 hectares).
Without the approved messaging you’ll not be able to buy grain, or hops, or get a license, etc.
Seriously the requirement is the acceptance and therefore promotion of sexual deviance of any kind,… in beer companies…. auto makers.
What the ever-living fûćķ is going on here???!!!
Double post, my bad, sorry Thomas if this mislocation wasn’t immediately obvious.
OK then.
Relax. There is a plethora of “micro breweries” everywhere to choose from.
I haven’t bought any piss beer in years.
My fave these days is Okanagan Springs, especially their 1516 Lager.
I also like their motto, which is that they don’t take themselves too seriously.
Unlike the Bud Industrial Complex and their poster freak, who might be a nightmare grandchild of Audrey Hepburn.
This is the most sensible take by far.
The problem with practically all the “craft” breweries in Ontario is that they owe their existence to taxpayer subsidies. So ethically, they’re no different than the big whores: Molson, Labbats and Sleemans – who control beer sales in this province via their government approved monopoly.
stevie, agreed. If Bud Light has floundered, it hardly matters in the greater scheme of things. Other competitors will happily take their place. Bud Light self destructing simply means opportunity for competitors. At most, the only thing that happens is that Anheuser-Busch loses its advertising stranglehold over professional sporting to some degree. Who cares?
“It’s a type of fascism in the service of global communism.”
If you’re ever saying things like this, your brain is probably fried and done. This is just mashing words together to create the facsimile of insight.

Agreed, UM. All we are reading here from the nameless one is mere babble. Shakespeare noted this sort of behaviour in MacBeth: “Sound and fury signifying nothing.”
“the threat of cutting off investment capital as a way to capture corporations”. And then the revenue drops…
My go to lagers are, Spitfire by Ace Brewing in Courtenay, Red Truck Beer by Red Truck Brewing of Vancouver, and Sneaky Weasel by Balderdash Brewing of Vancouver.
Brava.
Cheap and not a bad beer at all.
Ffs guys, regardless of brand, yer just renting it anyway…no.?
” …and they have the power to incentivize behavior…”
True. So be wary of anyone using words like incentive.
In the past, the banks controlled the flow of money, who got it,who did not. Then capitalism came along and banks lost that control as money was now available in the market place via individual investors. The banks want that power back and have joined forces with vile entities to reach that goal.
the entire concept of stakeholder equity is anti-business.
