  1. I haven’t seen this in any “main stream media”. The RCMP is officially being sued for $150,000 for sabotaging three excavators during the Coutts blockade last year — the plaintiffs are alleging Charter infringements, political motivations, and unlawful behaviour from Alberta RCMP officers.

    1. I posted a link to a story about the lawsuit last week, but can’t recall who did the reporting. Pretty sure it wasn’t MSM.

  2. During France’s 1700s and 1800s, women would pretend to faint at the sight of a horse’s testicles. Then that same night, engage in wild baccanal.

This is a very sick society, determined to commit suicide.

We don’t have such a social contract. Suicide is a deal breaker.

  3. The saddest event of the year is 4-20, a supposed celebration and protest at the same time, poorly organized because, well, you work it out. When asked by reporters why they bother, nobody could hazard a guess. I suppose that’s in keeping with the event. Or non-event.

  4. A federal audit states that Justin Trudeau’s promise of two billion trees planted in a decade will only achieve 3 1/2% of the stated goal:

I tend to be a tree lover as well as an animal lover. My wife and I have a number of trees on our house and cottage properties. But Bong’s blue sky promises, and seeing him plane a token tree at a CBC/CTV photo-op, was too much to take.

    1. Yep, saw last night at CTV. The PR guy from Police tried to hide the fact that they don’t know anything.
Which is laughable and appalling at the same time. So Pearson is taxes and fees galore but basic security is at the level of banana republics mid-Africa. Most probably insurance will get even higher now. Which will reflect in ticket prices and airport/baggage fees even higher.
A banana airport for a banana republic. Quite fitting actually.

    1. L – Well, now she qualifies to run for leader of the S.N.P. the Scottish
National Party. This as it’s leadership will shortly be in the court docket.

    1. But if they cut funding to the CBC how are all their fans going to see reruns of Little Mosque on the Prairie?

Oh, right. They have no fans.

“As more and more restaurants are going to kiosk payments there is a pre-tip payment feature. Excuse me. You take my order, give me food that I wait on and you hand it to me. You aren’t seating us. You aren’t taking our order, you aren’t checking on us, you aren’t coming back inquiring if we want anything else before you present us the check.

Now you want a tip. I don’t think so. “

    Yeppers.

    1. I remember a restaurant I once went to. The menu read “for your convenience we have added an 18% tip to the prices”.

      1. I’d have told ’em to enjoy the view as I walked out.

There’s a new-ish brewery in Calgary, can’t recall the name. No tips are allowed. Walked in a couple months after they opened, there were fewer than 10 people there, most of them had drinks in front of them. Took the server 5 minutes to get our order and another 5 minutes to get our beers. There were a whole 3 at our table. No tips, so no motivation to hustle.

        Never been back.

  6. I notice all the NDP ads on Youtube (sidenote, been avoiding as much as possible because of dipper ads) are now trying to make Notley not look like a disingenuous bitch. She’s never worn jeans or anything but a pantsuit in her damned life, until now.

Another Blow to the Climate Models

“Well now, to their credit, NOAA has owned up to their prior methodological issues, and having reevaluated S.T.A.R. in light of various critiques, they’ve released new findings which demonstrate that “the atmosphere has warmed at half the average rate predicted by climate models over the same period,” consistent with McKitrick and Christy’s findings, which they make a point to mention.”

    1. To my knowledge, either provincially or federally, the only politician who who thinks this is all crap is Max. Here’s a quote from their platform:

“Climate change alarmism is based on flawed models that have consistently failed at correctly predicting the future. None of the cataclysmic predictions that have been made about the climate since the 1970s have come true. No new ice age. No steady warming in direct relation with increases in CO2 levels. No disappearance of polar ice caps. No exceptional rise in ocean levels. No abnormal increase in catastrophic weather events. No widespread crop failure and famine.

In fact, CO2 is beneficial for agriculture and there has recently been a measurable “greening” of the world in part thanks to higher levels. Despite what global warming propaganda claims, CO2 is not a pollutant. It is an essential ingredient for life on Earth and needed for plant growth.”

      1. Don’t worry.

Just in case it does happen they are developing the program to mass produce Soylent Green anyways.

        1. It won’t be the same without Charlie Heston and Edward G. Robertson , they just make it taste better, sigh….

      2. Weyland, after reading the article I immediately sent off a flurry of texts to my MLA. He responded & I actually just got off a phone call w/ him a half hour ago. He doesn’t drink the kool-aid. Apparently, in Alberta of all places, he’s in the minority.

The problem? City folk. He says they’re all pressuring their MLA’s to vote for this shit. So, to all you city folk who are uninformed idiots, sans two brains cells to rub together, FOAD. Move to BC so the rest of us can WEXIT.

  9. Another woke Toronto District School Board policy has been a complete failure
    https://tnc.news/2023/04/20/levy-tdsb-policy-failure1/

Black activist education director Colleen Russell-Rawlins, who appears hellbent and determined to dumb down the curriculum as much as she can, said when the policy was passed that the objective of the changes was to provide students with a “fair chance of acceptance” into such programs no matter their identity, ability, postal code or family income.

Her idea was to “remove barriers” allegedly present for black and Indigenous students.

    1. One day I’d like to meet this amazing lady, give her a hug, sit down, & just talk over beer.

      1. They don’t have the Orange Man to punt around no more.
See , times were good for them under the Trumpster.
They got nothing to talk about now , so people avoid them like the plague rats that they are.

    1. Man that’s gonna leave a mark.
I wonder if granny can handle it, might break her wrist, however whoever is on the receiving end is going to have a bad day.
