When The FBI Does It, That Means That It’s Not Illegal

Richard Nixon got a raw deal.

Although these authors disagree about many details, they agree that Nixon was removed from office not because he endangered the constitutional order, but because his bureaucratic and political enemies plotted successfully against him. And while scholars shy away from endorsing some of the more dramatic claims that have been made over the years, the best of them understand Watergate not in terms of the conventional narrative, but as an institutional “conflict” in which Nixon was the most important casualty. Nixon had to go—not because of a bungled break-in, but because he challenged the national-security state.

  1. I certainly remember that the media had it in for Nixon. Looking back, a bungled burglary seems insignificant compared to the crimes of the Obama/Biden regimes. It’s not the cover up, it’s the crime(s).

  2. I have always felt the same way, Thomas. And to the best of my memory, Nixon did not even order the burglary. He simply denied it and tried to cover up after the fact. How many times have our current leaders denied, obfuscated, and outright lied?
I started a list here, but had to delete.
There is just too much, almost on a daily basis.
Any SDA fans like to start listing current and past offences/lies/denials that are worse than Nixon’s?

    1. first
If you look at what damage the cover up caused, maybe consider that the cover up was engineered to do exactly what is did. The cover up could have been pat of the operation against Nixon, and he just got caught up in the whole thing. Ford was a plant, and part of the whole thing. He pardoned Nixon to avoid discovery during a trial.

  3. JFK was going to stop the depletion allowance that benefited Texas big oil, so HL Hunt financed the “kill JFK” operation that Allan Dulles headed. Nixon was asking too many questions about the JFK thing, AND he was about to start a racketeering investigation into Texas big oil, as too many of the same players sat on the same oil company boards. 4 of the 5 plumbers were CIA operatives , Hunt being one of the more significant ones, he was one of the 3 tramps outed when JFK was shot. The 3 tramps were straggling behind the “arresting” cop, so the cop had NO control over them. The whole thing starting with JFK was/is a deep state start up. Tho this all goes back to when the CIA was instituted, they set up liason sessions with the vatican, and the “church” was all for offing Kennedy. People are still too stupid to figure out the social dynamics as they play out.

  4. You can throw Agnew in the raw deal folder as well. I’ll give the IC this much, they’re about three steps ahead of everyone else. Judge Sirrica bragged about how he strong armed Nixon to select Warren Commission chucklehead Gerald Ford as VP in exchange for a pardon this was after Nixon, with his back against the wall, told CIA Director Richard Helms in a not so thinly veiled threat ” I know who killed John”… a reference to JFK of course.

I highly recommend YouTube channel America’s Untold Stories with Eric Hunley and investigative reporter Mark Groubert…it’s even better now that someone told Hunley to shut up while Groubert is talking who in my opinion is a master story teller.
A few episodes in and you’ll wonder if there’s anyone who isn’t a CIA asset.

    1. You know in a similar but different vein, it is well worth examining the funding behind revolutions over the centuries: I’ll bet you find a trail back to Big Corps every time.

Today’s revolution in the West is “woke”. Who is funding it? Now ask: “who is funding the CIA”?

I know Trump was planning a big take down of the CIA, planning to massively clip their wings.

It is going to take mass tax boycotts and rotating crippling strikes – cut off the public money source. Nothing else is going to work.

To do my bit I have been downsizing our family budget radically. Working a LOT less, voluntary pay and hour reductions. Cancelled all plans for my business. Heck, it’s too much work for too little in real compensation.

So, I am developing a rural African work ethic (thank you my black brothers and sisters for showing me that professional ambition and avarice are white supremacy!).

I tell you, I and my family now have time to smell the roses. We sit and read books aloud together. We are a family again. And my government has seen my contributions to their coffers slashed threefold in the last 10 years. I literally am now spending at least half my time sitting on my ass and reading. Some weeks go by and we literally don’t buy a damned thing. Restaurants? What are those?

Funny things start to happen when you do this. You get off social media. You get fit again. You lose weight. And it is deeply, deeply satisfying knowing that I am harming my government FAR more than if I marched, or voted, or blew things up. I am literally doing my small part to starve them and the corporates that prop them up, to death.

  5. Another CIA story if I may – Early ’61, Kennedy had a sit down with CIA director Allan Dulles and someone from the Joint Chiefs of Staff both of whom advised Kennedy to launch multiple nuclear strikes at Russia sometime later in the year citing a nuclear weapons numerical advantage for doing so. So yeah, now’s the time they reasoned.
A stunned JFK simply got up and walked out where he met his brother and remarked how utterly insane the IC were and…”that’s the thing with those guys, no one will be around to tell them they were wrong”.

Same kind of talk we’re hearing about Ukraine/Russia lately.
Freaking psychopaths are going to get us all killed.

  6. The Dulles brothers were wholely responsible for creating the CIA. They kicked “Wild Bill’ out and took over the OSS and under Truman they created the CIA. The legacy they left behind is what we see today, unelected bureaucrats running and ruining the country by controlling ignorant and naive politicians. The books written about John and Allen fill libraries yet the average American know nothing of these two brothers.

  7. On multiple occasions in the NP, Conrad Black has described Nixon as one of the most successful Presidents in recent years and his removal from that role had nothing to do with any criminal wrongdoing. Purely political.

  8. In light of recent activities,it seems highly likely..JFK and his brother got an even rawer deal.
When East Germany fell apart the Secret Police Files were open for all..
When Washington sinks into the mud, will the JFK files finally be public?
The actions of the Permanent Government ,in keeping Trump from power, has revealed how odious the whole bunch are.
Whatever they are “protecting” it is not the Republic or its constitution..
The refusal to make public ,50 plus, year old documents,is a fair signal that whatever was being done back then,is still being done today.
