  1. So far there is little info on the net about this park. Past pranks of Merkel, Duda, Eton John, Harris received a lot more attention.

If Western extent of help to Ukraine was really as extensive as the outraged vatniks are inferring then kudos to the West.

But speaking of Primrose Path, can someone update me on the number of Europeans that have “frozen to death in the dark” this winter? I can’t seem to find a rieliable estimate?

      1. No shit Sherlock. That and LNG, and all your predictions on how genius Pootin playing 5D chess held them hostage turned out bupkis. Also, government in Finland just changed and they are still going NATO. Remember how governments in Sweden and Italy have recently changed to the right? And they’re both still supporting Ukraine and Sweden is still going for NATO. Baltic is a NATO lake now. Wow, your bellowed strategic genius seems to be playing 5D Snakes and Ladders.

        1. You really are making Herculean efforts to deflect here Colon.

Better head over to Reddit to refill your rhetorical tank.

          1. Deflect what? Read my first and second sentence on the topic. There is little info on this prank, no idea if translation is correct either. So I am withholding my judgement. Maybe true, maybe fake. Me think it may well be Woozle.

So far search engines give you this:

            https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Vovan+and+Lexus+prank+hollande&t=opera&ia=web

            https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&q=Vovan+and+Lexus+prank+hollande&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Either way of it turns out that West played a greater role then excellent. You think it is a gothca moment?

    1. Europe got lucky. It was an exceptionally mild winter. I work with teams from Germany and Croatia, and they were untouched by anything that we would consider cold weather in North America. Mild weather and almost no snow. The German government rolled double sixes this time. The crisis they were dreading never materialized, and they weren’t forced to confront the consequences of their terribly ill-advised energy policies. As for next year, we’ll see.

      1. Yes that is the current fallback narrative, they got lucky this time but next year, nu, pogodi! The reality is that none was going to freeze in the dark either way.

And yes EU energy policy has been a disaster and it was a result of German policy of buying Soviet then russian gas for decades literarily since 1970s. Those with longer memories may remember Ronal Reagan wanting to sanction Germany for collaboration on energy with the Soviets. And German economic boom and the dominant position in EU rested on that collaboration. Hence they were championing green regulations that effectively handicapped other competitors while reselling russian gas to them. This world is gone now, which is why it is amusing to watch German elites now claiming that they supported Ukraine from the start, while in reality they were hoping for a quick Ukrainian defeat and business going back to the good old days. As I have said below:
        Zelensky has changed the world.

  2. L – Heck, pranksters Vovan and Lexus are rivalling the James O’Keefe
Media Group for uncovering political corruption !

The globalist crowd of E.U. tyrants got booted in Holland and Finland.
How many other citizens will stand and vote to defend their nation-state
    from predation/treason? In the E.U.? In the U.S. of A., Canada…?

It’s that or be turned into another catastrophe like Sri Lanka.

      1. All three are actually jokes.
Lucky Ukrainians, at least they have a noble and courageous leader (and as a bonus he drives so many of the right people bonkers).

        1. Yeah, Zelensky is great. His legacy will be the destruction of Ukraine and its people.

          1. ^ Thoughtless knee jerk response.
Zelensky’s legacy is preservation of Ukrainian nationhood. He is a genuine hero. He could have abandoned his people and spent the rest of his life in luxury playing Ukrainian Dalai Lama and giving well paid guest lectures on Western Universities. Instead he said “I need ammo not a ride” and the world has changed forever. He rose to the occasion like none expected of him. He is Ukraine’s Churchill.

          2. “He is Ukraine’s Churchill”
Better hope not. Churchill was a grave-digger of the British Empire who was so obsessed by defeating Germany that he didn’t mind ruining his own country in the process. The victory in WWII wasn’t for the British, that’s for sure, and it started the destructive immigration policy, the consequences of which are ever-lasting (unlike those of any defeat in a war). Any kind of peace with Germany, not matter how unfavourable, would have been much better for the British than the “victory” they got. People who admire Winston Churchill are reeealy stupid.

        2. What the wanker that plays a piano with his wanker? A real statesman there. Calling him the Z man is most appropriate as he is the a $ $ end.

  3. One this I always wondered about those “pranksters”, if they are non-state actors, how are they getting the government officials’ phone numbers?

    1. From reading about a similar call close to 10 years ago, they called the office number and the BSd their way past the assistant. The dodge I remember went something like this.

“Sorry to call without prior arrangement, but I’m having some difficulty ‘X’ and So-and-so is an expert. I’d appreciate his advice if he can spare a minute or two.”

“It’s Mr. La-di-da about something current and important. Shall I put him through?”

Note that the ones pranked are usually has-beens or 2nd tier and their ego gets in the way. The are flattered because “of course their advice would be sought.”

For those now on the outer rim of the loop, their egos usually do them in.

“I’ve got loads of spare time a few minutes. Put him through.”

      And the pranksters are IN!

Some pols with outsized egos and undersized brains still haven’t learned to tell their assistant to verify the caller and their number precisely to avoid being pranked.

      1. It may work once in a blue moon, but it’s not going to work in most cases, so no, that’s not how they work.

        1. So we’re back to your question how they got Hollande’s phone number.

I’m just not familiar with former bigwigs who don’t have an assistant to filter contact to them. You have to get past their guard dogs. But maybe it’s different in France and for French ex-presidents.

          [DDG search]

Nope. Here are the perks French ex-presidents get. The article is about Sarkozy, but it states that all ex-presidents get those perks. Note the office, security, chauffeurs, and staff provided (my bold).

          https://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/may/15/nicolas-sarkozy-ex-presidential-perks

“Like all former French presidents, he is entitled to a €6,000-a-month (£4,800) “pension”, plus if he decides to sit on the constitutional council, again his right as a former president, he gets another €11,500 a month. This is paid whether he decides to return to work as a lawyer, as he has suggested he will, or not.

He also has the right to a “fully furnished and equipped” apartment paid for by the state, two police officers to ensure his security, a state car with two chauffeurs, seven office staff and free business-class travel on Air France and SNCF, the national train company. And if he does fly abroad, Sarkozy has the right to stay in the local ambassador or consul’s residence.”

I certainly don’t know, but with 7 staffers, I doubt that French ex-presidents answer their own phones. But maybe Hollande is a “just call me” kind of guy. Still seems to me that you’d have to BS your way to Hollande past an assistant.

  4. This prank confirms everything I suspected about Ukraine, and the purpose of this war.

    1. The purpose of this war was subjugation of Ukraine by orcs. Thankfully Ukrainians have been much better prepared for it, than what Pootin’s sycophants told Pootin was the reality. If this video is true, so far looks like Woozle (see links above) then it is good that some in Europe were sane enough to realize that Ukraine needed help. More likely they haven’t done much but are just calming credit for it.
