      4) there is some inflation in some minor areas such as fuel, housing and food, but its manageable
      5) its only for a short time, just like two weeks to flatten the COVID curve, remember then?

They started out with doing reefer and van, but they’re moving up the food chain into super b, chemical and fuel tankers and flat deck. See: Humboldt crash. Most urban dump truck owner operators are also “New”. They charge below what locals can, by about 12%. Do they have cloned registrations, lack insurance, run recaps on steer tires, use dyed fuel and don’t pay for preventative maintenance? We’ll never be sure, because statistics about that are forbidden. This is why driver wages have been almost stagnant for 20 years, which is leading to a spiral of importing people to do a job that doesn’t pay very well, which suppresses wages.

      +2.29% YoY as of December 2022 (LTM basis)
      +0.02 QoQ as of December 2022 (LTM basis)
      -0.12% MoM as December 2022 (LTM basis)

      Taking population growth into account we get:
      +0.04% YoY as of December 2022 (LTM basis)
      -0.90% QoQ as of December 2022 (LTM basis)

      So we can conclude that GDP growth in 2022 has been essentially zero, with negative growth in Q4.

Have we all gone completely bonkers in this country? How can we keep electing leaders who propose this kind of insanity. The same can be said of the rocket scientist or brain surgeon that developed the term “sustainability”. Sustainability is the idea that we can attain a level of equilibrium, how can you bring about equlibiriium if you demand growth? If we have to grow the economy then we cannot have equilibrium nor can we have net zero. It is a physical world and hairy fairy political ideas do not work in a physical world.
