  1. Two days ago I told you that Pe Em Too Long’s fortune cookie said, “Open Revolt”. Today The Slow & Snail finally reported their version of this. (For breaking news trust SDA.) The real story is that the Liberal Old Guard thinks it can perform a Trudeauectomy in public, followed by a transplant of Carney or Morneau. How silly. They think today’s War Measures report means that the big Liberal prize is still intact. And they can’t back down now that they’ve puffed up the Red Menace thing like it’s the story of the century. These are people who’ve never actually talked to a Chinese person, so they peddle clumsy tales with cardboard characters who use chopsticks and can easily be fed nonsense. The truth of the matter is that Erin O’Toole is a sore loser, Pe Em Too Long shows up at fundraisers and bats his stupid eyelashes, and branches of government sometimes rattle tin cups. None of this is to suggest that Canada should ever drop its guard, like we’re sadly doing all over the place lately.

          Russia was going to publish 4th quarter GDP data on Friday. It was expected to be around -5%. They bumped it to after Putins speech. I bet he will do the usual government thing and cherrypick small bits of “good news” out of an overall awful report.

          Meanwhile on the unjustified war front, Russias only victory since the summer is taking a town of 10,000. In that same span they lost Snake Island, Kharkiv, and a big chunk of Kerson.

          Russia has already lost.

          1. Russian GDP data is garbage to begin with.
            GDP is also a very bad indicator of economic power.
            GDP = Consumption + Investment + Government Expenditure + (Exports – Imports).
            Consumption, investment and trade balance are all down. The only component that is (massively) up is Government expenditure. You build a bomb, explode it, build another bomb, your GDP just went up by the value of the bomb.
            Pootin is achieving this by forcing oligarchs to purchase state obligations. He is burning through any wealth they have left to stay afloat. Equivalent to drinking sea water when you’re thirsty.

  6. Yesterday an articulate SDAer mentioned that CBC News did in fact report on the Globe and Mail remarkable findings, spilling the beans on a top-secret CSIS report detailing China political activities to help Trudeau’s Liberals.

    But here is how the corrupt CTV news handled the story. First, they relegated it yo their “politics” back page. Then they put it way down the list of stories, beneath three or four Emergency Act stories:

    This is what one means when he says Canada’s paid-for media are corrupt. Global news put the story on its main page, but emphasized Trudeau’s comments that he was not a China quisling.

The Dear Leader’s chosen inquisitor, Justice Rouleau, has come to the conclusion that he was expected to, which relieves the Dear Leader of another immediate blotch on his already extensive record of unethical and corrupt offences. But wait, the saga of the invocation of the Emergencies Act is not over. There is still hope of a different judgement, eventually, this time from the Courts as opposed to an inquisitor appointed from the Court:

    “Fortunately for Canadians, the Rouleau report does not represent the last word on the Trudeau government’s use of the Emergencies Act. The court of public opinion may be beyond sway. But from a legal standpoint, the Federal Court — and the two judicial review applications currently underway before it — will likely still have something to say. For the sake of posterity — and to discourage future use of the act — we should hope they reach different conclusions.”

    Alas, that hope is very faint since the Courts hearing the official legal challenges have so far approved of every violation by governments of the theoretical rights bestowed by Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms. As has now become apparent, those rights exist only when governments choose to grant them, and the Courts are fine with that approach.

    In this piece, the Xi Jinping government expects the slow-witted Trudeau government to catch on to the huge spy-and-influence network, and warns the spies and quislings in Canada to be ready for any Canadian blowback.

    This is compelling reading. The corporate broadcast media is barely mentioning this expose, acting true-to-form as corrupt media. However the Globe, I think, is sitting on a ton of top-secret CSiS documents. So the paper will be releasing info drip by drip, every day. Talk about a Deep Throat. CSIS and the RCMP are now scrambling to find Deep Throat.

  10. Toronto mare john tory’s long goodbye is finally over. He finally got caught jumping the fence. He’s probably been been a life long stickman….with his wife’s blessing. Lots of women are willing to trade off life style and look the other way.

    Good thing it wasn’t a conservative who got caught boinking a chicken half his age.

    1. John Tory is a former leader of the Conservative Party of Ontario, though never elected as a Member of Provincial Parliament.

      But John Tory was about as red a Tory as you can get, and he supported many Lieberals as mayor, including Ontario’s Kathleen Wynne.

  13. Donovan Leech played the Jack Singer concert hall in Calgary back in the day. He came on stage 40 minutes late and then proceeded to complain about the acoustics. The hall was brand new and was built for acoustic performance.

    Two weeks later jazz great Oscar Peterson played the Jack Singer. During his performance he commented on the wonderful acoustics of the room.

  14. If Trudeau tries mandatory vaccines again, which he will. Like what Brazil Socialist Lula is trying. It will be time to start taking out rungs from his ladder.
    What does this mean.
    How does power flow in Canada.
    Trudeau or Ottawa makes up a law or ruling. It then flows down to the Provincial Premiers to the Municipalities to enforce.
    If the Mayors and Municipal Officials start getting hammered hard.
    They back off. This means take them down hard. Know where they live and go after them in their homes. Don’t bother going to Ottawa. Destroy the Chain of Command instead.
    The try to kill us again with vaccines, start making their life hell.

  15. The New Cochrane Study​

    Cochrane studies are usually the highest level of evidence we have available or “Level 1” as shown above. This research group just looked at all of the masking studies we had for both reducing the spread of respiratory viruses and the SARS-Cov2 virus (1). They pulled apart the data from multiple studies and pooled it, which is called a meta-analysis. What did they find?

    “Medical or surgical masks

    Ten studies took place in the community, and two studies in healthcare workers. Compared with wearing no mask in the community studies only, wearing a mask may make little to no difference in how many people caught a flu-like illness/COVID-like illness (9 studies; 276,917 people); and probably makes little or no difference in how many people have flu/COVID confirmed by a laboratory test (6 studies; 13,919 people). Unwanted effects were rarely reported; discomfort was mentioned.

    N95/P2 respirators

    Four studies were in healthcare workers, and one small study was in the community. Compared with wearing medical or surgical masks, wearing N95/P2 respirators probably makes little to no difference in how many people have confirmed flu (5 studies; 8407 people); and may make little to no difference in how many people catch a flu-like illness (5 studies; 8407 people), or respiratory illness (3 studies; 7799 people). Unwanted effects were not well-reported; discomfort was mentioned.

    Hand hygiene

    Following a hand hygiene programme may reduce the number of people who catch a respiratory or flu-like illness, or have confirmed flu, compared with people not following such a programme (19 studies; 71,210 people), although this effect was not confirmed as statistically significant reduction when ILI and laboratory-confirmed ILI were analysed separately. Few studies measured unwanted effects; skin irritation in people using hand sanitiser was mentioned.”

    Basically, wearing that surgical mask or N-95 mask to Whole Foods doesn’t help protect you from getting COVID-19, but washing your hands frequently probably works. ​

    How Did Public Health Officials Get this One So Wrong?​

    We knew very clearly before the pandemic that masking a population made no sense. No high-quality data was published during the pandemic that moved that needle. So why did our public health officials not follow the science? Remember I said a long time ago that after the pandemic was over there would be research looking at how we did as a society.

    It’s now very clear that everyone got on the mask train without credible evidence (15). Heck, that was clear back in 2020. So why did this happen? Public health officials weren’t following the science, but instead an ideology.

    The upshot? The science now clearly shows, as it did in 2020, that masking an entire population doesn’t help reduce the spread of a respiratory virus or reduce anyone’s risk of getting COVID-19. So let’s put a stake in the heart of this myth and throw the masks away. Do continue to wash your hands frequently.
