  1. No matter what Trudeau says or the Indian Chiefs. Every man and woman in Canada has a Right To Self Defense.
    F Around and Find Out.
And never ever give up your guns.

    1. Just make sure you own a shovel. My daughter bought me a pick for Christmas so I can still deal with those winter home invaders.

  2. The few comments on the Star Phoenix website are not supportive of the Bushie family.
I do agree with the family though, this story should be told and repeated so that things change.

Kids need to know that if you arrive with a group of drunken friends on a farmer’s land in a stolen car, with a homemade gun, the farmer can defend themselves.

It’s a lesson for it’s not for the farmer.

    1. All the comments call out the Star Phoenix and the “we wantsh to get rich off thish tragedy” family.

  3. In Texas, right now, a 73 year old man with no criminal record is being charged with first degree murder and held on a million dollars bail for killing an illegal alien (who had been deported several times), on his own property after he felt threatened. Texas!

  4. Being legislatively (not legally, for it is impossible) denied the ability to defend yourself IS, in and of itself, ILLEGAL, IMMORAL and and remarkably stupid.

    To hell with them.

    All together.

Make every person a criminal and you will regret it.

What will there be to lose?

    1. It was ruled in 2004 in the Majority by SCOC that everyone in Canada has a Right to Preserve and Defend their own life. Under The Magna Carta. See Kerr vs Regina.
This Right was openly affirmed in their ruling.
This ruling is never talked about. But the Magna Carta is alive in Canadian Law. And it predates all Indian Treaty’s. And this Right is enshrined in the UN Charter.
The SCOC not only acquitted the plaintiff of murder but also he was charged with an illegal concealed weapon and he was acquitted on this as well.

    2. “What will there be to lose?”

Precisely. The assholes pushing this crap never look that far down the road.

  5. My favorite journalist at the Start Phoenix is Doug Cuthand. I love how he trashes whites and calls us every name in the book. Great guy!

  6. A 911 call from our rural home and it took 17 hours for the RCMP to show up!

Extreme no doubt in poor response time but 2 minutes could be deadly.
Rural people are on there own.

    1. When seconds count the police are just minutes away.

The response time of police to an active shooter is about 4 minutes.
The response time of a concealed carry Glock is about 1,440 ft per second.

      1. Remember what happened in Nova Scotia a few years ago and that was a guy pretending to be a cop.

    2. We need to make liberals prove 911 works. Have them pretend to dial while you take your hand out of your pocket . Then make a finger gun and aim at them. Then say “bang” in one-second intervals. After six to ten “bangs”, ask them if the police saved them; what would be different if it were a real situation.

  7. The reason why mothers are not called to testify on behalf of their sons.. They are very poor judges of character.. The whole get off my land meme that all special interest groups are rolling with is a invitation for violence..

    Bait-and-switch
Bait-and-switch is a form of fraud used in retail sales but also employed in other contexts like politics.. I spit on equality because it doesn’t exist.. From cricket protein to our idiot carbon free future.. All the way to 72 legal systems to match our 72 genders..

We are in steep decline because the human interest story gets more clicks than boring reality.. Why work or even participate in a family with 72 first born sons who can do no wrong..

    1. ~~~ The whole get off my land meme that all special interest groups are rolling with is a invitation for violence.. ~~~

I would enjoy seeing that fleshed out. I’ve been ruminating on the possibility that it is a chip on a shoulder, but haven’t had the gears tumble into place that defines why and how.

  8. This was a tragedy. After a morning of visiting the elderly at an old folks home, these young Indigenous people were going from farm to farm selling Girl Guide cookies, when the Stanley family viciously attacked them and stole their cookies and money.
But a WHITE jury refused to convict Gerald Stanley for genocide.

Today, Gerald Stanley and his family are publicly living the good life with their stolen booty! Shame!

    1. “when the Stanley family viciously attacked them and stole their cookies and money.
But a WHITE jury refused to convict Gerald Stanley for genocide. ”

      LOL…your best yet…:)

  9. In a totally unrelated story…

    https://www.cp24.com/news/judge-who-released-man-later-charged-in-cop-s-death-weighed-indigenous-background-1.6269832

“A judge who granted bail to a man later accused of killing an Ontario Provincial Police officer noted his Indigenous background and the overrepresentation of Indigenous people in the correctional system before he decided to release the man from custody, according to an audio recording of the proceeding.”

“McKenzie [the cop killer] was released on bail six months before he allegedly killed OPP Const. Greg Pierzchala in an ambush near Hagersville, Ont., in late December and he is one of two people facing a charge of first-degree murder in the officer’s death.”

“The board said it was evident McKenzie had suffered “the negative impacts of colonialism,” parole documents show. He suffered from abuse and addiction, and was adopted out of the care of his biological parents at age two.”

“McKenzie is from the Onondaga First Nations of the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory, a 2021 parole document says. At that time, he was serving a nearly three-year sentence, the document shows, after he robbed a restaurant at gunpoint and then stole the owner’s vehicle in 2017 before turning himself in a month later.”

It’s always about the criminal and never about the victim.

    1. Gladue requires the judge to take into account the indigenous background, when sentencing. Certain pro-crime advocates want that extended to blacks.

And in the world of Liberals, it’s never the individual that is responsible for their choices, as long as it’s a minority

    2. I’m a software engineer and AI is really hot right now in that field.

There have been attempts to use expert systems (a kind of purpose-specific AI) to eliminate bias in sentencing by having the system propose a sentence based solely on non-racial factors – nature of the offense, prior history, aggravating factors, etc.

You never hear about them because they inevitably result in the AI recommending harsher sentences than visible minorities typically get despite the AI having no racial information in its model.

  10. The Calgary Herald / National Post building here in Calgary was for sale for about a decade before being sold last month for … I think $18 million ? It’s a large large all bricks building, beside Deerfoot and Memorial in central….
I think U-Haul got this for a good price.

    https://www.westerninvestor.com/done-deals/calgary-herald-building-sold-for-1725-million-6407097

I don’t understand how people conducting a home / property invasion, would not expect to be shot at. Did they want to be shot at? It seems the normal thing to do. Especially near North Battleford SK.

    1. Worked nearby, there’s a dead CP spur line under Deerfoot Tr that runs south of the bldg. the tunnel used to be open, but now is caged to keep out riffraff. Privilege!

  11. Lets talk about grandma serving them drinks at 9:00 AM and see how that can play out.
And how they terrorized a old woman alone in her house before moving on to the Stanley farm.

Are these journalists really this corrupt and stupid?
Have they ever heard of the concept of honesty and ethics?

    1. She might have been pouring, but the Cutknife liquor store that was broken into earlier did the serving.

    1. Use care. In parts of the U.S. that are reasonable about any weapon or potential weapon, “self defense” is limited to just that. The law may be reasonable about protecting you or those close to you from harm BUT some of those places are hostile to any action taken for the defense of “property”. Your (or their) safety and life may not include defense of property, even in your residence. Find out the details of the local law as well as the practice of your local Prosecutor or District Attorney. Some jurisdictions assume that an illegal entry is a severe threat. Others require direct action against an individual before”self defense” is allowed. Investigate local law with an experienced expert before you have to make a critical decision in the hours before dawn. And don’t be surprised if you get to spend time in “jail” while the “Prosecutor” investigates and decides.

  12. Whether the cops are idling close by or jerking off an hour away, you not only have an existential right to defend yourself, but a societal responsibility to double-tap any and every POS who threatens your peace and security.

Nobody but criminals wake up in the morning thinking about stealing people’s shit.

When your “justice system” value thieves, rapists, drug dealers and murderers more than good, law-abiding people, then you’ve achieved Shithole Country status.

  13. It seems to me this type of incident hasn’t hit the news in the past five years from this area or other rural spaces. Obviously a clear message was sent and received.
If only the same could be delivered and received in our larger cities.

  14. Seize the entire proceeds of the sale to recover some of the taxpayers money spent on the dying organ.

  15. I live a retirement community for 55 and older, most of the male residents are ex-military or Alberta transplants, most are active cross bow hunters and take no prisoners when it comes to criminals wondering around looking to loot our sheds or workshops. We pay close to 1000 a year for RCMP protection, yet I’ve never seen a cop car up her not once in four years. I personally have a guard dog, a 45 pound half Sheltie half beagle, she was our foster and she had so many issues we adopted her because no one else would. I managed to train most of her bad behavior issues out of her, except one, she’d rip the head off anyone who enters our home or attempts to approach me. People always attempt to approach us and I warn them, back off, but they assert she’s so purdy she can’t be dangerous-really. I keep a nine iron by the bed on the off chance someone get’s past Atilliathehun-do you yell four when you hit a target?

    1. No yelling, “fore!” Don’t let ’em know it’s coming. And, make like you missed the ball 6 or 7 times.

      1. You can go into long details about the warning you gave them at your trial but a warning at the time of the crime might give away your advantage. One thing to remember. If you tell the truth at your trial, you will be the only one.

  16. After the acquittal I called Ralph Goodale (Minister of Public Safety of Canada) and had a discussion with one of his staff about the misinformation spread ongoing by the media, including CBC. The closing response was “Sometimes you have to lie to the public for the safety of society.”

  17. A question. Is the incident that led to Colten Bushie’s death a treaty violation? Five young Indians of military age with a firearm left the reservation to raid two homesteads.

As a side note, I’ve had flat tires a few times and strangely never thought of stealing someone else’s property.

    1. They hanged 8 of them at Battleford in 1885 for murder. Bushie may have gone on to murder but fate and a Tokarev pistol intervened.

Stanley’s lawyer was a genius. Don’t plead an obvious self-defense so the crown would have no reason to refute it. Plead accident instead and the jury who grew up in the area could figure it out.

    2. When activists bang on about treaties, I like to drag out the actual text of the treaties and point out the many, many casus belli the various “First Nations” have committed over the past hundred years or so. I say we tear up the treaties; the “treaty people” can stay on their land, and if they step off of it armed we treat it as a border incursion.

  18. “they assert she’s so purdy she can’t be dangerous-really”

Our elite will always “assert she’s so purdy she can’t be dangerous-really” when talking about any of the pets they keep in their holey fenced unkept backyards.
The real problem is they insist upon pushing OUR faces closer to the barking slobbering teeth of their dogs but never their own.

  19. The sad part here is Stanley had to state the gun accidentally went off, otherwise he would be in federal prison right now for murder. There is no right to use lethal force with a gun to protect your property or person in Canada. In a just world he should have been able to state to authorities, “Hell yeah I pulled the trigger on purpose. He was stealing my shit.”
Instead, Canada wants you to let the criminals do what they want with you, your family and your property, until the police arrive.

    1. Stanley’s first mistake was calling 911, the second was saying anything to the police without a lawyer.

      1. And the only thing your lawyer should say is don’t say a damn thing at all. Remember, every thing the police say to you will be a lie to get you to admit to something or to get you to tell them an alibi they can pay someone to refute. No alibis – save them for trial.

A little secret in Canada. You can request and get legal advice. Then the cops boot out the lawyer and go to work on you with cop interrogation psychology. A lawyer has no right to be present for questioning in Canada. A clue – the reason the cops are investigating you is they want to charge you. In no world are you going to be able to talk them out of it.

  20. You harsh, harsh, people … Colten Boushie only wanted their things. And things can be replaced – people can’t. When will you capitalist running dogs get over your obsession with things? And don’t you all owe reparations to his brave, noble, eco-simpatico people anyway? You’re living on the stolen lands of the Cree people.

Behold the New Communist manifesto of Western “journalists”.

    1. These brave, noble people had a truck, they had a gun, they had booze. None were invented by these ‘noble’ people, they only acquired them after the Europeans came. That’s cultural appropriation!

    2. “You’re living on the stolen lands of the Cree people.”

I’m living on land stolen from the Assiniboine/Stoney/Nakota, allies of the Cree. I don’t feel guilty because they stole it from the Sarcee/Tsuu T’ina. Further north the Cree stole their land from the Beaver Indians.

      1. Exactly. It has been the same since time immemorial.
The Apaches originally came from Alberta, they got pushed south.
Also the Indians slaughtered other tribes and captured slaves. It was part of their life.
        Fight back and defend yourself.

  21. Slightly off topic … but speaking of Just Deserts …

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11739419/Left-wing-activist-baker-believes-abolishing-police-dies-robbers-mowed-down.html

A local Oakland woman, who owns a bakery, was killed by two “men” who robbed her. Seems as though she strongly believed in ABOLISHING the police. Funny thing … this story has been running in our local OAKLAND News for days … and not a single mention of her radical anti-police activism … or her Anarchist activism … or the racial composition of her attackers. The media conveniently pretend not to know things when they are embarrassing and go against the narrative.

So I have to read the TRUTH from a UK publication. The media are communist dogs.

    1. Nice, real nice.
Now unleash the criminal dogs upon those liberal cock suckers and see how fast they change their tune when they are on the receiving end.

  22. I have already made my choices in the cold light of day, before I’ll need to make them in an instant on a dark night when my home is invaded. Then the “justice system” can make their own 100 hour deliberations about my split second choice to defend myself, my family, and my home. As the saying goes, “Life imprisonment becomes less of a deterrent the older I get” I’ll also have the satisfaction of knowing the criminal that invaded my home, will never invade any other home EVER.
Of course, if this result can be achieved quietly, and without the authorities attending, I also have a pick and a shovel, plus a boat and lakes available. 🙂

When you are the victim, does it really matter to you as to what race or ethnic group your attacker is from?
