That’s based on a standup spot I saw on NETFLIX recently, I don’t recall the comedian, in fairness, the way he delivers it is quite funny.
That having been said, as Scott Adams points out, I paraphrase, “the risk to the government is not directly that thousands of people with guns will mass to try and take out some government entity which could arguably bring about the cartoon narrative. The risk to the government is many thousands of opponents with guns and how specific governing individuals will fare out on the streets should civil war or very high civil tension break out.”
That’s all theoretical of course.

He illustrates what he argues against … that a tyrannical government … when grown too powerful and corrupt … can simply evaporate citizens it deems … “a domestic terrorist” … or a “hate speaker” … or a “trucker protestor”
In the next few frames, a gang of teenagers find the homes of the operator and his superiors and drag their families headless carcasses through the streets.
I like it, I can see the movie unfolding…

The political filter isn’t really filtering politics … it’s filtering crazy. It’s the easiest litmus test available. Does that mean conservative women can’t also be crazed? No. But the odds are much better that they aren’t. Why? Because to be conservative is to look at the world from the perspective of TRUTH and EVIDENCE … not shallow, ephemeral … mostly crazy … emotions.

Well there WAS the extra judicial assassination of an American citizen by the Obama administration. I don’t think people understand just how expensive and labor intensive military drone operations are.
You have to have intelligence or military assets in the area to identify targets. You have to have those assets communicate up the chain of command. Command has to identify resources to make an attack and authorize the strike.
Then the assets have to communicate and coordinate with the drone operators. All the systems, hardware, personnel, time, all of these have costs.
It isn’t just “poof”.
Now, multiply those costs by millions of angry “targets”.
Surgically “poofing” away the Deplorables using an all powerful military machine without having to get their hands dirty is a Leftist pipe dream.
I think most progressives realize the elections are fixed but they reason that it prevents “the rabble” from directing government away from “the correct solutions.” In Canada we don’t have to fix elections to get this result, we just have to fix the schools and the media (so far anyway).
Going to the seat of government to complain (Jan 6, and freedom convoy) is seen as bad form since it questions the exclusive right of progressives to claim the moral high ground. How dare the deplorables imagine that progressives have done anything wrong? It is unthinkable in the Orwellian sense of the word.
