The Libranos: If It $aves One Life

Michelle Rempel Garner;

In fiscal year 2022, long after the rest of the world had ended quarantine hotel restrictions and after the government had lifted travel restrictions, at one Calgary area hotel, the federal Liberal government spent $6,790,717.46 on lodging expenses for….

…..wait for it….

15 people.

That works out to $452,714.50 spent per person on a quarantine hotel after they ended most travel restrictions.

It’s not unreasonable to assume some of this bounced into Liberal campaign coffers.

    1. When the means test is a receipt all it takes is someone willing to write one.

There is an understanding in the supply chain, particularly those items that require test certificates and material certs that anything coming from a certain Asian country run by a communist dictatorship that any requirement will be provided on paper that will state whatever is required including a claim of origin such as “made in America”.
      But I digress.
This time they know enough never to deliver the payment in a brown paper bag.

Hahahahahaha——- yup, I used to have an expense account, great second income it was, and tax free!

  1. The left is EXPERT at finding money, particularly within legislation they pass. They are deeply corrupt, deeply dishonest.

  2. Winmar made out well on the “cleaning services” with over $1,000,000.

Good for you Winmar, except that my taxes paid for it.

F’n Libranos. When are govt officials going to start going down for this BS?

      1. As long as the “free” stuff is available, it will work wonders.
Thinking that will inevitably, as the sun raises up at dawn, come to a massively disastrous end.
Without warning, without a beep, though it will.

  3. The only good news is if actually went to the hotel this would be stolen Federal money put back into the Calgary economy.

  4. Actually, slight math issue.

The ~$6.79M is for fiscal year April 1/22 to March 31/23 (to date)

5 of the travellers shown for 2022 were in Jan/Feb/Mar so would be in YE March 31/22

That makes 10 travellers in YE Mar/23 (to date) at a unit rate of ~$679,000 per traveller.
Good work if you can get it

  5. Yeah but:
    – when as a gov or as individual you fumble on a rate of 1-2 Watergates/week, who cares when a new pile hits the fan?
    – when entire media/social media receives big $ from gov, of course all recipients will act like Minister of Truth
    – same with the rest of the “assisted”, when you’re employed by gov in bogus jobs (for ex gov’s “Special Representative” for Islamophobia), or you’re Jagmeet and you’re in bed with ShinyPony to reach the pension – of course you’ll agree that PM Scumbag is the most Highly Right Honourable in the land.

  6. Rempel finally got a pair?

Sry…that expression used to mean something before the tranny trend, but you catch my drift.
I chose to ignore her when she started pushing the jab.

        1. Or that she didn’t get a plastic drink cup water bottle thingy (that you have to suck on reeeellll hard)

  7. *Golf clap* Pick up your “Scooby Doo Super Sleuth” award on your way out, Rempel. Liberal fiscal shenanigans? No way!!!!!
Your silence for the last two years was quite telling not to mention your support for last year’s trucker’s convoy which almost brought a tear to my eye…oh wait, that never happened.
Give my regards to Patrick Brown and Klaus Schwab.

  8. What Justin’s groupies fail to grasp is that NO elected official should be wasting money and then being unaccountable for it.

That’s what you get when you let gender studies graduates participate in politics as though they are somehow knowledgeable or equals.

  9. OK
Butt the ” church” gets a pass in your world, the RCC can teach criminal fiscal behaviour !
