Tuesday On Turtle Island

Biden’s America:  The racist cop argument.  No amount of reparations will ever be enough.  Some presidential lessons.  When Joe Biden declared war on half the country.  The many whoppers of Joe Biden.  Your morning meme.

Global Warming Scam News:  Climate protesters might turn violent.  Senior Biden official stood to profit from cancelling oil leases.  The cobalt mines.

World War III News:  War in Ukraine deeply immoral.

Trudeau’s Canada:  The TTC.  Parks Canada worried that historic sites could trigger people, because of colonialism or something.  The decriminalization of drugs in B.C.  Mandatory course for Alberta lawyers (Warning: CBC link).  Only Canada commits genocide.  Trudeau stands by sharia advisor.

Today In Islam:  Muslim man goes to the beach.  And Islamic justice.

  1. The Resist cop argument
I’ve seen at least three shows or series in the last three weeks where the white cop, nun or doctors were racist or incompetent or both. I haven’t seen a single corresponding situation in real life. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen but it’s not the epidemic I see on the screen.

    1. The purpose of the false racism charges is to polarize the issue such that it is impossible to reform actually corrupt police. The police, especially in large cities, have been casually corrupt and hungry for power for decades. In 2000, the entire Metro Toronto Police drug squad was disbanded for selling seized guns and drugs back out on the street, and that was just one of many police scandals Fantino kept excusing as “just a few bad apples”.

“Defund the Police” is ridiculous, but so is “Back the Blue No Matter Who”.

  2. I am curious to see how the new woke Parks Canada intends to interpret all of its forts. Seems to me that it just said it is incapable of doing so. If they can’t fullfil their mandate, they should be relieved of it.

  3. You know that creepy feeling of…crap happening behind the scenes…
Being marked for doing your job in a combat training course and officers in chain of command takes it personally?
Blowing up an enemy Commander who’s running the course in an Enemy Prisoner Escape exercise totally pissed this Officer.
Taking it off the field as a personal vendetta with other Officers…tried slapping insubordination and other charges which didn’t stick.
I was promoted by my NCO but was marked by other COs and NCOs by calling me by my first name.
I put in my four years and chose to leave before some accident or insubordination charges or something else came my way.
(He blowed up really good! But was totally pissed firing his SMG at me anyway. )(G-Battery 3 RCHA, Shilo, Manitoba)

    1. Today’s ‘Boots on the Ground’ are just target practice for drones and a huge variety of missiles that are highly accurate.

  4. Finally some common sense and from a Nato President of all people. This phoney ass war with Ukraine is reaching insane levels and I’m sure glad I toured Europe when I did before it turns into a radioactive hellscape.
Giving Ukraine 31 Abrams tanks isn’t like handing over the keys to your truck. They’re sophisticated pieces of hardware requiring training to operate and maintain. So…who’s going to do that?

    1. It’s very telling that the Presidents of countries geographically closest to the actual fighting (Croatia, Hungary) are the ones counselling restraint the most.

      1. Good point. They know their neighbors.
Also worthy of note – the Daily Mail article could not help still pushing the Narrative – they did not simply reference Putin’s invasion of the Ukraine. They had to state “Putin’s illegal and unprovoked invasion.” Well, most wars are breaking somebody’s laws. And…I listened to Putin’s speech where he gave his reasons. They may or may not have justified an invasion on the scale we have seen – but he was not entirely unprovoked. I’m not taking sides in yet another conflict where there are probably no Good Guys, just pointing out that the MSM is always framing the story with their little phrases. They cannot help themselves – they no longer report facts and let the public make up their minds. (Did they ever?) They feel it their moral duty to coach and frame every story, directing praise and umbrage according to the Narrative de Jour.

  5. “So…who’s going to do that?”

The “advisers” that biden is getting ready to send in.

It will be really interesting to see the American people’s reaction when the first US soldiers are killed in Ukraine.

      1. Someone predicted awhile back that when US presidents are low in the polls, they resort to war, and Biden would be doing that shortly. Seems to bolster the ratings.

  6. “Not a joke” is Brandon’s number one tip off of a blatant lie. Everything else out of his mouth qualifies as number two (in more ways than one).

  7. Historical sites triggering people? I’m way worse. I’m suffering from inter-generational trauma from my father serving over 5 years in the last war. I think me, my kids, and my grandkids need full disability pensions at the rank of general because my father was discharged at the rank of private instead of general because he had a German name. He spent over 5 years of abuse and deprivation and some asshole gut shot him with a machinegun. Come to think of it, maybe that pension should continue for my grandkids’ grandkids.

  8. The betrayal of the Ukrainians was baked into the cake, from the beginning.
This is what we,North America do.

A cynic would suspect a clever scheme between Russia and NATO to destroy the country.
But that gives our Dear Leaders far too much credit.

    Recent history.
If you are an ally of the USA,you will be betrayed by Washington.

“WE will fight Putin,to the last Ukrainian” is statement of reality, not a dumb meme..

And then we will steal even more of our tax payers money,”rebuilding”..
Corrupt minions bank accounts that is,not the homes and infrastructure of those we used for target practice.

    National interest.
    A real thing.
Except when private interest is more profitable..

If you have followed our “help” for Ukrainians, you might have noticed the pattern.
With friends like us,you need no enemies.
With great fanfare we help by setting you up,in an aggressive posture against the resident giant (training the Ukrainian military).
Seems Canada spent more here than on our own army.
    What did Canada gain here?

    Then when giant reacts?
We scurry away and shout encouragement from a safe distance,as we gift you all our useless junk, from our boneyards…Yup ,great weapons, sorry we have no more ammo, but we helped you real good…

And self praise ourselves about how good we help you.
What is our interest in this mess?

It makes little sense, unless you are one of those trembling couch generals, fearlessly fighting the Soviet Union of 30 years ago..

Does Canada benefit by creating shortages of oil and gas?
    From creating a Wheat Shortage?
Or from having a nice carefully staged,diversion..from the evil and stupidity in our own capitol?

The lies and propaganda are amazing.
    History must be erased.
    Orwell was right.

Whose interests are being served here?
    The Ukrainian Peoples?
    Which ones?
    The Western Ukrainian?
    The Eastern Ukrainian?
    Enemies of all Ukrainians?

Or the interests of those who profit from chaos, destruction and corruption?

This “War” is an idiotic mess.
    Staged for your entertainment.
    And distraction.
    Watch the pea..follow the money.
    Your money.

  9. No reparations should ever be more than the cost of a one-way ticket to Johannesburg. Economy class.

    1. Courts ruled the same here in Prince George, BC last year. So now they camp pretty much anywhere they want on public property, making a huge mess and nothing is done. Those who wanted to get out of the winter cold got free hotel rooms (that they tended to trash) but when weather warmed they moved back into tents.

In the past, this would never have been allowed.

  10. “Records show officials at the Interior Department knew that demonstrations at the D.C. headquarters could turn violent.”

Of course they knew. Lefty demonstrations are always violent. (Yet they are mostly peaceful, even when torching police stations). But it’s OK when they do it because lefties are all good guys, and lefty violence is a good thing.
