    1. Indeed, Robert.
He wants what many of us desire and used to have.
Now it has been usurped while we were seemingly complacent.
      What to do?
Look to his example and hope for the best while many of us slip into senescence?

  1. Regarding GHG emissions, there is one thing Canada can and should do. That is to adopt a “net zero” immigration policy. Immigrants from higher GHG per capita countries are given preference and only accept the minimum number of immigrants from lower GHG countries. That way Canada’s immigration has a global carbon neutral footprint.

    1. I would go one further WalterF
And that would be to look at the duplicity of Turdea’s immigration policy. On one hand the Liberals want to bring in more immigrants while bemoaning the existing CO2 emissions of the ROC. One would think and this being a nobrainer that increasing immigration will only increase Canada’s CO2 emissions.

      1. Its easy, they want more voters, while not 100% guaranteed they will vote liberal, but with the uni-party the way it is, is close..
They also want more taxes, but that requires people to actually pay taxes, which is pretty much 100% guaranteed, as even assistance money is taxed.
Same with any increase in wages or earnings, which is hard to get away from paying taxes on.
So, it seems their ideal situation would be to import voters so they will stay in power indefinitely, while having the wage slaves to pay the lions share of the taxes, that provide the incentives to acquire more immigrants. The fact that it does increase the carbon footprint is an inconvenient truth, but something they can easily ignore, in order to achieve their goals ..

  2. I’ve often asked liberals such questions…. ie, “Okay, if we get rid of GMO’s and such, whose children do you want to starve?” And “If we have a carbon tax, whose children will be without heat and electricity in the winter?” I never get a straight answer. Never.

    1. I say turn off the the heat and hydro the the university campuses, so each student can ACTUALLY make the difference they crave.

      Or:

Offer a heat and electricity free dorm, and let the activist students stay there.

      Or:

Offer a dorm with jacked up fees to cover the carbon taxes.

We’ll see how long climate change hangs around.

    2. Geek

I ask Liberals and New Democrats to what temperature they maintain their houses.

      They usually reply 20 or 21C (68-70F).

Then I tell them they should turn down their heat to 5C (41F), cause otherwise THEY are heating up the planet and thus causing climate change.

  3. I’ll reprint the comment I left on WUWT in response to his entertaining and spot on speech …

A woman, whom I quite admire, reminds us that what we need in the complacent, spoiled, West … is a good famine. A famine … a pestilence … or even a real nice thermonuclear world war … to remind us of what our dreaded forefathers annnnnnd foremothers have built for us. A nice famine to kick some sense right into our teeth. And “woke” would get so far behind us in the rear view mirror that it wouldn’t even be a faded memory. The spoilt children of wokity need a serious famine. And almost as if on cue … our current incompetent “leaders” appear to be forging one as I type this.

    1. Agreed Warren, what climate change?

But his point was that if it was true, if it was an emergency, what the spoiled, woke youth of the rich, capitalist nations believe about the solution is absolute BS, and nothing they are doing to “save the planet” would work. That they don’t have a clue.

It’s all but impossible to convince those woke youth that the earth is not in a climate emergency, but it should be possible to get it into their heads that the solution they promote, the actions they want us to take (and which cause so much harm) cannot work.

If instead (by contrast) they took actions that actually would work to prevent a climate crisis (assuming there is one, and even if there isn’t) little harm would ensue.

      1. Yes I know, But it’s not an argument that should be made. These woke youths need to be convinced that there is no “climate emergency’, and that what they’ve been taught and believe is a lie. What Konstantine has done here is all well and good, but it does nothing to dissuade them of the lie that they believe. By accepting it, if even for the sake of argument.
I’m also forced to ask what’s wrong with CO2?

        1. Have you tried to convert someone who believes in the global warming religion? Pretty much impossible, they’re bombarded with global warming propaganda every day. I know, I’ve tried, they don’t want to hear it.

“A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still” ― Dale Carnegie

The way I see it, doing it Konstantine’s way opens the door, makes it possible to convince them of the whole truth.

      1. Obviously fake news.
The protestor pictured is wearing petrochemical derived clothing. Gaia’s St Greta who rows across the ocean wouldn’t do that.

      2. Classic media manipulation. Who cares about a mentally disabled high school drop-out?
I know, sadly, our elected officials.
