      1. Tell them that, but don’t put it in writing. Then hit them with individual suits. And with class action suits. These people are murderers. Getting them out of power is simple self defense. There is no law against lying when you are doing so to defend yourself from murderers.

  8. It’s a start. AHS needs to be burned to the ground (figuratively speaking, CSIS & RCMP a-holes…) and restarted. First action, just stop this Covid bullshit. Period. Second, all but eliminate all middle management. Eighty percent would be a good number. Third, senior management chopped by 70%. Fourth, all Branch Covidians hit in the ass with the door on their way out. Fifth, no more bureaucrats dictating health policy in this province. Sixth, no more GD bonuses for doing your GD job. Seventh, no more little personal fiefdoms in hospitals. One set of rules for everyone.

    I know nothing of Cowell but I’m not reassured by the fact that he worked under the shining star, Redford. In addition, Copping is part of the GD problem & should be turfed as Health minister.

    1. About 25 years ago, I was paying over 14% of gross payroll in WCB premiums. Had never had and still never have had a lost time work accident. In a similar move to today, Dr John Cowell was bought in to straighten things out. A couple of years later I was paying 3%. Needless to say in my view he is a saint.

  11. My son’s wife’s family is the Shouldices whose grandma and her surgeon husband set up this world renowned hospital totally to treat hernias. My self, family, friends have all been treated there and it is the perfect example of what we should have all across Canada as in France. Knees, hips, cancer are all specialties with the best doctors dedicated to it. Your health card is all you require to go the specific hospital.

    Prior to going to Shouldice you are examined by one of their doctors and he/she may require you to loose weight for example prior to being accepted for the operations.

    1. After many hernia repair failures, my maternal grandfather finally took his Doctor’s advice and paid Shouldice their ridiculous fee. Lo and behold, no more hernias! So the family all put in a few bucks so my paternal grandfather could also have no more hernias. My dad never had a hernia repair fail because he went to Shouldice the first time. Hernias run in my family so most of us who got fat or pregnant have been to that clinic and we thank God for it. The only hernia clinic in the world that publishes it’s failure rate! An excellent model for efficient health care, so of course it has been and will continue to be studiously ignored by Governments.
      The stupid diet (i couldn’t stay on) is supposed to reduce fat in your lower belly and groin. They said my recovery would have been more pleasant, had I stuck to the diet.

Ring back Head Nurse positions if they haven’t already had them, and let’s FINNALY LOOK good n hard on implementing 2 Tiered Health such as found in most Europenn Countries who seem perfectly capable of providing world class health care at 50% of the cost what we have pissed away for decades.

    Next up:

    Banish the RCMP.
    Create our own Alberta Pension system

    And if you are able, Enshrine in LAW, that All Alberta Elections: are for Canadian Citizens Only, Vote on paper ballots, require Govt issued ID and finally OUTLAW Computerized voting machines….

  15. Even if he can’t fix it at least he can make it cheaper. Alberta health has the most bloated, top heavy health system of all the bloated, top heavy health systems in the country.

    1. Here’s the kicker.

      Alberta has an election coming up on May 29, 2023. Any attempts to downsize AHS or Alberta Education are going to be met with huge resistance from the unions and the Commies.

      If DS holds off on most of those firings/layoffs until post-election, then successfully implements a new system that yields positive results by the election after that, UPC will have a better chance of surviving that one.

    Politicians come and go but the bureaucracy remains. Failed policies are left in place promoted to new governments.
