  1. The mortgage debt and rising rates are going to be an interesting and challenging situation in the coming months and years.
Government debt at all levels is a little extreme too and I remember several years ago some government wag said the money was almost free with interest rates near zero.
No worry about tomorrow & only worry about getting re-elected is a bad combination.

  2. Debt is only a word that troubles people without sufficient funds. Canada isn’t worried about debt. This country takes on more and more debt. Any obvious repercussions? Ask almost anyone you know. They simply shrug and continue on with life. All tax paying Canadians gladly hand over a significant portion of their paychecks for the greater good. Seem like most of this money is given away to others. Discouraging education and critical thinking will only help to increase the power balance favoring greed and corruption, continuing the spiral a little faster each year. Eventually total collapse of society will prevail.

  3. Will prices crash or correct? Over time, there will be those that will be underwater at renewal, but will the bank of mom and dad once again come to the rescue for those that bought at or near the top?
With Groper’s massive immigration plan continuing, pressure will remain on this country’s housing market, having an impact on continued high rents, and, demand for new housing. The unintended consequence is the homeless problem continues to get worse, as cheap rentals disappear, get torn down, etc.
This country is run by clueless morons that either don’t understand or don’t care about cause and effect.

    1. “cheap” rentals disappear because government puts so many barriers in the way to deal with what happens when those “renters” go bad, and then demand that the private sector fixes the problems they have created.

    2. I’m leaning towards they know exactly what their doing , and don’t give two shts. They’ll do anything to keep kicking the can down the road no matter the suffering (they caused) lurking just around the corner.
Praying they get caught and get what’s coming to them.
      But not holding my breath.

  4. L – The most resilient, when faced with losing their home due to mortgage payments they
no longer can afford. They’ll consider an alternate business plan:

    1. If they rent out their basement suite; will that allow them to keep making their payments,
    and eventually own their home?

    2. If they move into the basement suite and rent out the upstairs, would that allow them to
keep making their payments and eventually move back upstairs and own their home?

Homeowners are more motivated to stand up to government over reach. This is one reason
why the mass importation of unskilled 3rd world immigrants is a tactic of the Trudeau regime.
Also, this is why driving many small/medium sized businesses out of business was a main
goal of the gov’t. Panic-demic measures. Trudeau’s dream is a land of oligarchs and serfs.

    1. Larry, Yeah the turd is dreaming he’s gonna be an oligarch, and he does think of us as peasants, but he’s only lower management in the greater scam…er scheme!

    2. “Homeowners are more motivated to stand up to government over reach.”

Homeowners are often the first to demand government overreach in the form of zoning laws, and they have nothing to do with immigration.

      1. Personally, I think zoning laws are a joke.

In inner Calgary there are zoning laws, but a developer (especially with re-election donations) can easily get changes to the zoing through City Council. With one exception: the development shouldn’t be near where a city councilor lives.

  5. The forth coming collapse of our official unit of exchange, will not be blamed on our incompetent, arrogant “helpers”.
Nor will the stupidity of the voter be blamed.
It will be blamed on “Bad Luck”..

Just as our propagandists currently omit any coverage of Venezuela or Zimbabwe..
Who are also victims of this same “Bad Luck”.
If Western Canadians do not pull the pin on the great con of Confederation,we too will suffer from this “Bad Luck”..Starving while surrounded by plenty.
Patterns have been apparent for centuries..
    Here we go again..
    Peak Stupid.
    Followed by Retribution and Revenge.
    All hail:”The Terror”..

As we have seen in the last 4 weeks..
Our Federal Government declared a State of National Emergency, invoking what used to be known as The War Measures Act..Because they were afraid..
Afraid of a small group of defiant citizens.
We all know the Chicken Littles..
Those who are in perpetual fear of living.
To whom everything is an emergency,to be reacted to with all force available..
The reason we never allow these idiots power over others,or access to weapons…
    Oopes.
Somehow they were elected…By our Urban Comrades.

Do you really want to share a country with people so stupid?

    1. “Do you really want to share a country with people so stupid?”

John, not a second longer than I absolutely have to.

  6. Canadians vote for people whose financial acumen resembles their own.

This is why they are in a recession and personal debt with a total moron who got where he is because of his dad’s money.

Canadians will lose everything. It is going to get bad.
