Hey Canadian Sheep, Start Wearing Masks In Your Homes!

When you went to sleep last night, were you wearing a mask? If not, you’re a bad person.
Today, when you get in your car, will you be wearing a mask? If not, you’re a bad person.

This is the mentality of Canada’s incompetent diversity hire, Dr. Theresa Tam, who insists that everyone should be wearing masks indoors.

Thought experiment: Do you think Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland will be following this guidance? Of course not, because they are wolves, not sheep.

Become a sheepdog, think for yourself, and protect your loved ones against the wolves.

Interesting aside: This report comes to you from She/Her Megan DeLaire.

  1. I find many of Tam’s pronouncements worrisome and not based on science. I think she reports to an authority outside of Canada. Her advice certainly has been and continues to be ineffective. Her claim about numbers of lives saved by the vaccines is simply bizarre and completely unsupportable. It would be helpful to know where her loyalties lie.

    1. Tam’s claims of lives saved remind me of a budget meeting with a crusty old pipe smoking manager.

During a meeting where department heads presented their plans for budget cuts, he just sat silently listening, pipe in mouth, occasionally writing on a yellow legal pad.

After the last presenter finished, the old guy relit his pipe and said, “Gentlemen, and lady, I’ve added up all your budget savings.” Puff, puff, puff. “One little problem, the sum total of all your savings exceeds our budget. Go back and do better.”

  2. I’m now starting to think the more mask mandates the better.

    Why?

It will slowly and inexorably cause the population to dislike, even hate, the government. Then there will be an explosion, perhaps even a Ceausescu moment.

    1. Anyone who hasn’t been long disliking, even hating, their gov’t for decades is unlikely to be fazed by face-diaper mandates. Trudles’ approval rating is still over 50%, even after the last 3 years. You won’t hear a peep outta the sheep.

    2. Not if you believe Nanos research polls, which are saying a vast majority of Canadians SUPPORT masking up.

        1. Because they can’t make a decision on their own and need mommy government to make it for them.

      1. Was that the CTV poll? 1080 people, probably all from Waterloo or Ottawa.

Interesting the question wasn’t “Do you still wear a mask?” They wanted to tickle the nasty little tyrant fetish so many people developed over that last three years and give them an opportunity to be perverted dictators.

Anyway, there sure as heck not a “majority” wearing them around here. Far from it.

        1. The percentage of people wearing masks in Calgary would be in single digits. Saying that, there’s far more masks on people than there are those wearing the Poppy.

        2. I do see a fair number of people wearing face diapers in Waterloo, but even more so in Mississauga.

If you really want to see a majority of mask wearers, go visit a Chinese supermarket (eg T&T), 100% of the staff and about 80% of customers. No issues for me being bare-faced, all the staff are pleasant and polite.

        3. I went shopping in a larger nearby city yesterday. The store was packed, I saw several masks, but the vast majority unmasked.

Saw 3 ambulances yesterday, 2 with lights on. One was in the city. And an ambulance siren this morning when I took the dog out. And I’m from a very small rural area.

          1. The street I have lived on for 14 years is the neighborhood of a “cottage hospital”. We all know when an ambulance departs or arrives with lights/sirens engaged as well as the comings and goings of the medical helicopter. Our little hospital was utterly crickets during the lockdown…my regular walk takes me directly beside the plate glass window of the waiting room…it was truly, crickets there.

During the spring summer it was a hive of ambulance/helicopter activity. It’s levelled off now, but I think it will get busy again of the booster uptake is brisk.

  3. Anyone as ugly as Tam cannot possibly be sane.

I will wear a mask ONLY in a medical facility and only because when I need health care, I want it. My principles do not include stupidity.

Also, it’s a courtesy to those who work in the health care system who are forced to play a part in this folly or lose their Fn jobs.

Our western society is going through a madness at this time. It is an infection from the left and it’s nearly run it’s course as I see it … it still needs to be crushed completely and flushed down the toilet. The left is insane and the right is stunned.

It’s times like these when I wish there was a god. I cannot imagine any god being proud of this sorry ass planet. So I pin my hopes on the folks like Kari Lake and Pierre P in Canada … and many others who are taking up the fight.

    1. You’d be better off believing in God than to pin your hopes on Pierre Poilievre.

As for Kari… People are saying she’s a shoe-in when they finished counting all the ballots in Arizona, but they won’t release the results until early next week. (of course. They’re trying to figure out how to cheat their way out of this one, and make it believable. Do you really trust Maricopa’s (lack of) integrity to tell the truth and report honestly? I certainly do not.)

    2. “I will wear a mask ONLY in a medical facility and only because when I need health care, I want it.”

Well said. I’m going to adopt the same strategy, if they attempt to reimpose mask mandates.

“So I pin my hopes on the folks like Kari Lake and Pierre P in Canada …”

Lake, sure….but Poilievre, no. I had already decided not to vote for his party due to his ridiculous, inexplicable support for the odious practice of ‘supply management’…so the recent vote where every one of the CPC MPs voted to acknowledge Canadian residential schools as a ‘genocide’ against natives just sealed the deal. PPC for me from now on.

  4. Not just one, but multiple layers of protection.

They were never good enough in the first place.

  5. There have been at least 6 cases of a “cold” in the last 6 months in my home that nobody but us knew about . Lots of “colds” going around. “Colds” are a bit different this year, with more body aches, fatigues, and loss of smell, I’ve heard of a lot of people getting these things.
Not staying home again. Got to keep community immunity high.

    1. One thing I will agree with the government, and that is if you’re sick, you should stay home, but I will not mandate that.

  6. You can get masks which have “VOTE NO TO TRUDEAU” on them. There are several possibilities and suitable for all occasions.
    Amazon sells a patch: “D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F.”Do I Look Like I Give A F@#K”.

    1. I remember Marjorie Taylor Greene wearing a mask in the Senate with the message “This mask is as useless as Joe Biden”

      We need a Canadian version.

  7. Become a sheepdog, think for yourself, and protect your loved ones against the wolves look straight at the wolves while stating my pronouns are F/U.

    1. “Become a sheepdog . . .”
      Middle management.

      “. . . think for yourself . . .”
      That’s why I’m a shepherd.

  8. This report comes to you from a she/her for whom English is obviously a second language …

Freelance journalist with bylines the in Toronto Star, the Ottawa Citizen, the Montreal Gazette, CTV News, Yahoo Canada, Canadian Interiors & more.

It’s nice to see “journalists” memorializing their stupidity in black and white for us all to see. How thoughtful.

  9. Don’t the people here remember when we would wear masks to prevent polio/diphtheria/pertussis/measles/rubella after we got our preventative shots?

Has anyone (other than cancer patients) worn them during flu season?

Sheep know not to reflect on all the past experiences of life.

  10. God, I heard Tam on the radio on my way in to work today. Revulsion made me change channels. Justin probably wears a mask and condom in bed with Joly on their tryst to Cambodia.

    1. “God, I heard Tam on the radio on my way in to work today. Revulsion made me change channels. ”

I swear at my radio and stab the button as quickly as possible when I hear the grossly offensive “get your children vaccinated” ads. Do you guys get those out there as well?

  11. Masks, unless completely sealed are nothing more than ovine theatre. If you can get the width of a human hair under an edge, that’s fifty times the size of the virus. Only a respirator can get the kind of seal needed unless the proper mask is taped on.

    1. “Only a respirator . . . ”

. . . with an exhalation valve can offer personal protection. The last study I read claimed a 5% reduction in wearer infection, in a hospital setting.

Of course the valve, which makes the mask properly sealable, completely eliminates any possible protection of others.

      1. I used to use positive air pressure respiratory for work with particulates (continuous flow) and fire training (SCBA). Even those masks and respirators aren’t perfect protection due to sealing issues. The masks most people wear and how they wear them plus the small size of a virus means there’s very little to no protection from mask wearing. Which is why, in practice, masks did not, in any meaningful way, prevent covid transmission.

  12. I understand one of the reasons for the shortage of medication for children is the fact that the labels are not in French so of course all the pepsis in Quebec go into a high speed wobble and the spineless liberal/ndp coalition cave in – The politicians in this country would rather have an epidemic of sick children then upset Quebec – Oh how I wish Quebec had separated –

  13. @joe re “perhaps even a Ceausescu moment”: It will take years, even decades to get to such a thing. And this goes for both USA and Canada. It will have to be much-much worse and for a loong period of time: years of food rationing + persistently cold in cramped up rental dwellings + censorship / propaganda galore. All of this is being inserted into our lives, slowly and inevitably like you said. And general public (both American and Canadian) is stupid enough to take it all (because everyone still believes the BS reason that it’s for the good of the many). But unfortunately it will take years, decades of hardship to drive general population to that level. Meaning inconceivable things right now, like Xiden 2nd term, then Fetterman? Kamala? 2 terms etc. And in Canada, Trudeau forever & ever or until he gets bored and someone even worse from his acolytes (Freeland? Jagmeet?) wants the job. Everyone hopes for Poilievre but personally I don’t think he will be able to change the course. Both DNC in USA and Libs/NDP in Canada are de facto The Party from Orwell’s 1984.

    1. Dan

You may be right about the timing of a Ceaucescu moment. But I suspect a lot of Canadians are getting more and more annoyed with the cost of home heating going up, up, up. Meanwhile Justin and Jagmeet keep talking more carbon taxes, plus clean fuel taxes, etc.

In addition. The price of groceries is going way up. Yet we all see Justin, the GG, and now Jagmeet taking luxurious trips at our expense.

Political explosions can be like brittle fractures, no visible bending or deformation, then snap, a fracture.

      Time will tell.

  14. Not going to happen, no more subservient behavior from me. They can fine me, beat me, arrest me but I will not comply. It is not my job to protect the healthcare system, it’s their job to provide me adequate care. Yesterday in the hardware store the clerk took off her mask to serve a client, stuffed it into her pants pocket and when my turn came she hauled out the filthy fabric mask and put it on. You can’t have a rational or sane conservation with the mask fanatics, one old fella told me that the minute the mask mandate got cancelled he got covid but he didn’t take his mask off once so if the masks work how did he get the “Covid”?

    1. Rose has nailed it: under NO circumstances will I wear a mask. I WILL be civilly disobedient. And I hope any politicians or “authorities” reading this understand that they push this mask garbage at their peril.

      1. “Rose has nailed it: under NO circumstances will I wear a mask. I WILL be civilly disobedient. And I hope any politicians or “authorities” reading this understand that they push this mask garbage at their peril.”

Same here, with the exception of hospitals.

  15. Bottom line is that it should always be a choice. If you want to mask up then do it and do whatever else makes you feel safe. Just stop forcing everyone else to comply with your demands.

One of my teens ended up with dermatitis because of mandatory mask wearing in schools. It’s finally under control after months of figuring out which products and medications will work for her. The dermatitis definitely affected her both socially and emotionally. She, of course, got covid anyway. No way she should be forced to go through another round of this pointless mask theatre. We have to stop abusing kids in the name of disease prevention.

  16. Safe and effective. It’s the science. Experts agree. All buzzwords to create a narrative without evidence. So what makes a “top” doctor? You are a mouthpiece for the governments?

    1. “Safe and effective. It’s the science.”

      Yes, the political science.

      “Experts agree.”

Always, with whoever signs their paycheck…

  17. For all those who wear masks, like Joe, when did you start wearing a mask? Before or after the mask “science” changed?

I actually don’t care, but claiming it’s a choice is a bit of bullshit.
The only people wearing masks before the SARS 2 Wuhan came a calling were Chinese.
And everybody gave them a big wide opening while a WTF cloud danced over our heads.
If it makes you feel better, fine, but you have to know it is still taking a side.

    1. Buddy

I started wearing an N95 mask when all the experts said it was useless. Also drastically reduced my exposure to indoor crowds.

I researched the mask situation, and figured masks were only 20% effective. But since I had a bunch, and I have a number of health issues, I figured it was cheap insurance.

Many years ago, I’d take the bus downtown to work to avoid the high parking fees. I noticed I’d often get colds or flu, even though I would wash my hands first thing at work.

When I started driving to work, no more winter colds.

Over time some health issues worsened. So now I’ll wear a mask when I visit the hospital for assessments, testing, and treatment. No mask, no treatment. No treatment, probably die in approx two years.

I shop for groceries early in the morning to avoid crowds. At that time, I’m not masked. If I’m grocery shopping in crowds, I wear a mask.

It’s my choice. You can say I’m picking sides all you want, but I’m not telling you, or anyone else to wear a mask. I hope you’re in good health. I’m not, so I’ll do what I think is necessary to give me a decent life in the time I have left.

  18. Since the MSM and polling firms are again pushing this, it’s likely coming from the PMO, which means the WEF has told their people the next phase of testing the Canadian sheep should start soon. Masks are perfect of course – they are visible manifestations of compliance and control, and totally useless, so also a demonstration of the government’s arbitrary power over the population (kind of like the Emergencies Act). And they have the side benefit of helping destroy small independent businesses like bars and restaurants.
All this tells poll me is that their plan is working, and at least half of the Canadian people are willing to do what they are told, whatever it is. Prove me wrong, I hope I am.

  19. In Calgary …..
For certain visible major minority, mask seem to be a standard equipment.
For certain other visible medium minority, it is rarer.
For the white thrash majority, it is less then more.

    1. Thats the T Shirt Dan.
I will wear a mask again.

  20. The point of the mask mandates is not to block viral spread, since they obviously do nothing of the sort, but to add a nuisance factor to the act of going out to a public place. Hence, you are more likely to limit your time in a public place or avoid them altogether. It’s a devious way to “back door” capacity limits.

The way the mask mandates are being yakked about in the media incessantly is a classic example of Mattias’ Desmet’s notion that if an absurdity is repeated relentlessly enough, people will eventually believe it.

  21. Wearing a face diaper, including the infamous N95, to protect yourself from the COVID virus is like using a tennis racket to swat mosquitoes.

  22. Theresa Tam is the only one that should be wearing a mask 24 hours a day for an obvious reason!

  23. Ottawa Citizen claimed that a meta- study ( looking at all the other studies) concluded masks– when worn properly — can reduce transmission. Where is this study? Newspaper frequently make questionable claims– no sources. There are about 170 studies telling us masks don’t prevent transmission. Masking children is very damaging.

  24. It is imperative that we stop these psychotic totalitarian creeps from traumatising the population, including the already socially and cognitively retarded children, any further. This is not just straight out of the Nazi playbook, this is the Nazi playbook. I will not tolerate faceless cowards imposing their characterless conformity on the still-human population any further.

Wear a poppy? After what we have enabled over these past three years, to do so is an insult to those soldiers. You sacrificed your basic human rights for nothing with nary a whimper. Now we openly support Nazis in Ukraine for Operation Barbarossa 2.0.

  25. I was in Ottawa today and I would estimate that between 5 and 10% of the people I saw were masked. It was mostly women and I noted that most of the masked men were with their wife/significant other, who was also masked.
