        Crimea has a history an order of magnitude longer than Muskovy. It is not surprising that you mention last 200 years. As before the reign of Catherine the Dog Molester, Siberians had no presence there. And you can go to Ancient Greeks or before that to start learning about Crimean history. When the Dog Molester’s horde flooded Crimea, they, as it is traditional for those with Mongol roots started with genocide. The Dog Molester’s “Great Greek” project begun (Siberians always having delusions about their connections to ancient Rome or Greece). Hundreds of thousands either perished outright or got deported and perished upon arrival. The Siberians kept subjugating inhabitants of Crimea for a better part of two centuries until until another great Mongol leader Stalin decided that another geocide was in order. Hundreds of thousands more perished.

        Then for a brief period Crimea was free. Since the fall of the last Siberian empire until the invasion of Crimea decedents of Tatars and Cossacks native to Crimea, whose grand parents survived the deportation to Siberia, went back to Crimea and started rebuilding what was left of their culture and heritage.

        And then Muscovy horde invaded again and whipped it all out again.

        Siberians don’t annex, don’t amalgamate, don’t incorporate, they genocide their betters, ask for example Circassians for details.
