    1. The issue is that they’re doing this research.

      Supposedly so we can develop vaccines.

      Given the cost of developing vaccines, who is funding the vaccine development? How will they recoup their costs?

      We have lots of diseases with no treatments. Surely, time, effort, and money is better spent on existing diseases, rather than making new diseases.

      Things can go wrong when you play with fire and playing “gain of function” games is more like playing with nuclear fission. Does not matter what level the security is, humans are fallible. Covid almost certainly was born in the Wuhan Virus Institute. The wet market origin was a red herring. The Frankenstein Covid virus killed millions and caused trillions in damages and yet we still let mad scientists tinker with potential holocaust level genetic manipulation.

        It is beyond outrageous that any organization would be tinkering with making COVID more lethal. Morally these researchers should be condemned , but that is unlikely to happen in the current political environment , given big Pharma control over medical research.

        It appears this type of research has been conducted for many years but only surfaced with the COVID outbreak. Case in point there were some 30+ bio-labs identified in the Ukraine , ostensibly funded by the US , and that is just one country , not to mention the Winnipeg BSL4 lab with murky ties to Wuhan.

    Not for the first—or 100th time—have I sought in vain for information on an acronym in an article. This one mentions ISSA assuming I would know it, yunno, like I know what CBC stands for. I googled it: Islam School Services Association. As OJ sez, ‘cos other shelters are not muslim enough. Just one more example of multiculturalism, the fragmentary tribalist outcomes with which even Papa Trudeau was disappointed.

    1. They can go to Iran, Pakistan, or Saudi Arabia, where they can experience a full Islamic lifestyle.

    A perfect example of the bad outcome from the general indifference of voters to the school board section of municipal elections. Apparently most people don’t even fill out this section.

    At least CBC tells me what SOGI means: Sexual Orientation Gender Identity, which of course should have no place in the curriculum.
