    1. Canadian Thanksgiving is this long weekend. American Thanksgiving is in late November. I like to be precise. It reduces confusion.

      1. And I like to let ignorant people know that “Canadian” Thanksgiving is a harvest festival (the crops are in the bin!) whereas “American” Thanksgiving celebrates an historical event – the landing of the pilgrims at Plymouth rock.
        I know, I know, I am a history nerd!

      1. Yes! And a 5th of July… a 6th of July, and a 7th…

That joke is older than I am, but I’m old enough to remember it.

        1. On numerous June trips to the US, lots of Americans asked me how Canadians celebrate the 4th of July.

Getting tired of this I started answering, “It’s a big deal. All over Canada we build scale models of the White House and then on the 4th we have fireworks then burn the models just like in the War of 1812.”

        1. Did you even bother to look at my link?

It *looks* like an incomplete swastika due to blurring effects. But its not. Actual product is linked below. It’s a “Midgard bracelet”

          1. Your bracelet clearly shows a swastika and if you look at zaluzhnys wrist enlarged, he is wearing a swastika. Your denials mean nothing.

        1. Hello, Azov *battalion* hasn’t existed since late 2014. HTH

Man you guys really eat up the Kremlin propaganda. I bet you think there’s an 8 year genocide in the east too and that the Russian language is banned.

          1. Can’t help thinking about the black and red banner that Freeland posed behind promoting a known Nazi sympathizer. It was so embarrassing to Freeland that the tweet was deleted, and the story buried down the memory hole.

So despite all the photos and the alleged photo-shopping, I’m inclined to agree that there is a certain level of corruption that exists in Ukraine. Are there Nazi’s? neo-Nazis? It really doesn’t matter to me. I will not stand with corruption in general, Nazis or not, nor will I stand for Russian aggression either. I will especially not stand for the West’s intervention in what appears to me to be an internal conflict.

And no, I will not stand with Nazi’s either. Are you listening, Turdope?

          2. Yup there’s some corruption. If that concerns you, then you should be fully behind Ukraine joining the EU. One of the conditions – for all countries wishing to join. – is anti corruption measures. Corruption has improved significantly since Yanukovych fled.

Yes there are neonazis. If that concerns you, then you shouls.be more concerned about Russias neonazi problem. Look up Rusich to start.

          3. Assuming that the EU itself isn’t corrupted.
And if you truly understood my post, you’d know that having Nazis or even neo-Nazis is the least of my concerns… on either side.

The main reason for Russian aggression, as I understood it, was the push for the Ukraine to join the EU. The west drew a line in the sand, daring the Russians to cross it, and guess what happened next.

          4. “The main reason for Russian aggression, as I understood it, was the push for the Ukraine to join the EU. The west drew a line in the sand, daring the Russians to cross it, and guess what happened next.”

This basically says that Orgrimmar gets to decide what international organization Ukraine can join. In other words Ukraine ought to be considered russia’s vasal state.

            No. Period.

      1. Ya know.

        “Nazi’s in the Ukraine…??
..are you out of your mind.??”

        You two are beyond laughable…

        1. This is one topic where you an UnMe have traded brains.

Again, the head of Wagner’s Orcs, and a close associate of Pootin, is a declared Nazi. When will all the anti-Nazi fighters pay attention to him?

Further, I have asked this question before and none can give a straight answer: how are russians any better than Nazis?

          1. “When will all the anti-Nazi fighters pay attention to him?”

There are no anti-Nazis. They are all St. Petersburg internet trolls.

          2. A lot of them yes, safe bet any broshevik that did not post before the war is just a bot. But not Steak, he is just seriously confused…

      1. You might find this clip amusing, C…

Apparently, the Russians tried to retaliate for the attack on the Kerch bridge, by targeting a PEDESTRIAN bridge with no military value… AND MISSED!
Flash point indicates that the missile, drone, or whatever it was they used, hit the ground beside the bridge. The bridge itself remains intact, although slightly abused from wear and tear.

No, I’m not taking sides. I’m merely an observer, and I will point out stupidity no matter who is responsible for it.

And here’s more stupidity of the aftermath of Russians attacking civilian targets…
        https://twitter.com/mjluxmoore/status/1579350452705300481?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1579350452705300481%7Ctwgr%5E1f3d6cd2520c9743681de26aec3201b916bb4b6b%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftherightscoop.com%2Fputin-retaliates-after-bridge-to-crimea-was-blown-up-goes-after-civilian-targets-videos%2F

Having said that, I don’t think it was wise for the Ukes to openly celebrate the destruction of the Merch bridge in Crimea. That sort of thing sort of begs for retaliation.

        1. “That sort of thing sort of begs for retaliation.”

Look, Ukrainian government did not even admit culpability. They are masters at mocking and ridiculing (second only to Czechs maybe) but they never admitted they have done it.

Besides, what are russians doing now that they haven’t done already over an over again? They have sent tens (hundreds of thousands probably) of Ukrainians into gulag and kidnaped their children. They tortured and disappeared hundreds of thousands more. Forget about not poking the bear. Stick a spear in its diseased eye socket and keep pushing until the syphilic beast is dead. Kill all its cubs and napalm the dean.

What kind of retaliation does Bucha beg for?

This is the last war russia is fighting as a coherent country for a long time. Let’s make sure that when the dust settles they are paralyzed and ready to be depowered from within. Once and for all.

          1. I kind of anticipated that response. To be clear, the Kerch (not “Merch”… got one on the proof read, but missed the other one…) bridge was a legitimate military target, but I never said that Ukraine was responsible for the attack, however in my view, they would have been morally justified for the attack on that bridge had they done so.
What I found disappointing was the celebration. It’s always a tragedy when a war must, and I say again MUST be fought. It is nothing to be celebrated, even in a victory. What must be done, must be done. Celebrating death and destruction has always been distasteful to me, and only serves to “rub salt in the wound.” No good will come of it except to satisfy the lesser nature of the human condition.
I pray every day that the combatants will find the courage to look past their respective egos and find a peaceful solution to end the madness that seems to be affecting everyone involved in this developing tragedy.

          2. “What I found disappointing was the celebration. ”

Why? A high value military target was hit and the enemy’s ability to resupply their overextended forces have been severally reduced. A target that symbolized Siberian imperialism and their occupation of Crimea. I see no reason not to celebrate a significant military and propaganda success. They weren’t celebrating killing civilians like russians do.

“To be clear, the Kerch (not “Merch””

And I meant “den” not “dean” and “devoured” not “depowered” but we all got it so no worries.

  1. Bruce Pardy: Three Judges Forbear COVID’s Hegemony in the Courts

[Forbear (new word for me): hold back, abstain from]

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/bruce-pardy-three-judges-forbear-covids-hegemony-in-the-courts_4782486.html

A year ago in The Epoch Times, I described how Canadian courts were embracing the official COVID narrative. In cases across the country, judges have given deference to governments and public health authorities rather than scrutinize the rationales for COVID measures and mandates. Some have gone so far as to take “judicial notice”—finding facts without evidence—that the situation was as public health officials and government agencies represented it to be.

“Judicial notice” = simply accepting the government’s side with no requirement of proof. A judge dismissed 4 covid lawsuits against BC PHO nanny Bonnie Henry, presumably on this basis.

SO MORE BASKETBALL COURTS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE ANSWER

“One man has died and two others are in hospital following a triple shooting at
La Liga Sports Complex near Finch Avenue and Dufferin Street in North York.
There is no information so far about possible suspects.”

And in the wild, wild west…

Upon arrival, Alberta RCMP officers located Truong Nguyen, 39, who was killed
and a woman who had suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound. “

Remember… once Justin has all our legal, registered guns… crime is over.

  3. Here is a little movie courtesy of Gateway Pundit. A trifle long so don’t sit down with it after turkey dinner as the content of truth will make you want to throw up. As Abe famously said “You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.” Evidently all who have been vaxxed fall into first category.

  4. Nury Martinez, president of the Los Angeles city council, caught in a Trudeau moment.

She says of a fellow council member’s black son, “he’s like a monkey.”

And of LA DA George Gascon “fu*k that guy, he’s with the blacks.”

But I must have missed it, the article doesn’t mention Martinez’s political party. She’s a Democrat.

    1. Since the so called First Nations came from Eastern Asia, does this mean the skies are Russian and Chinese?

  5. I offer not a reader tip, but a wish from south-central Iowa to the fine Canadians here from somebody born an American citizen. I hope that you are able to give thanks for the good things that you have and that you are able to fight against the good things that your government has taken away from you. I’ll be doing the same thing in about six weeks.

  6. I’ll be going to Waterloo, Ontario, to get some rest while celebrating this year’s Long Weekend Holiday.

  8. Happy Thanksgiving. It’s going to be sunny and a lovely 21°C in Calgary, Alberta today. Nice celebrations here in the neighborhood, friends had BBQ and everyone brought something homemade.

  9. So how’s that war going in Ukraine? Yesterday I couldn’t go on a site or Google without being bombarded by stories of how Russia was getting it’s behind kicked, today nothing? We all know Russia ran out of missiles months ago, and Ukraine has air superiority, not to mention NATO training, while the Russians are drunks who can’t shoot straight? What’s the big deal? Why so quiet?

    1. The Ruskis are getting their asses kicked. A few days ago the Ukrainians moved forward 30 km near Kherson in a couple days. Unless they stop and set up defences and move ordnance forward they could lose it all. I expect the Russians to start crumbling in a few more days.

  10. Mulroney who between 1984 and 1985 tripled immigration from 85k to 250k, without having it in his public election platform…
Mulroney who admitted in court took cash, brought it over the border without declaring it, and keeping the cash in a safe at home, rather than putting it in a bank, cash from Karl Heinz-Schriber the admitted briber of officials…
