In Iran, demand for VPN downloads increased by more than 3000 percent in September, according to TopVPN100.com.
Yet, other countries too have seen surges this year. For instance, Sri Lanka saw a 17,000 percent increase in VPN downloads on April 3 2022, when social media platforms Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp were banned.
The internet blackout came as the government enforced a curfew, attempting to keep protesters from hitting the streets over a disastrous economic downturn, mainly attributed to governmental mishandling, which led to major food and fuel shortages.

Cutting off the circuses is really not in the best interest of any government. The elites are MUCH safer if people have their faces in their phones and the butts sitting down watching TV and government propaganda.

Not sold on VPN.. IMO its just another PSYOP.. Who owns them and more accurately what are they going to do when the government comes knocking?.. Thinking you are protected from people who can do anything they want is foolish.. We are going to take everything you have and throw you into a hole so deep you will never hit bottom OR take 5 million dollars and hand us the keys..

It actually gets worse.. Finding all the people with something to hide is a lot of work.. Giving them a false sense of security to round themselves up.. Getting them to pay for it.. Is quite frankly better than sex.. So, enjoy your American Netflix.. A sure sign your privacy is 100% protected..

Every time I see a YouTube channel do an in-video ad for a VPN service, I automatically assume that content creator must be a Fed. Or at least a collaborator.
