  1. If memory serves me right, the Canadian federal debt payment was over 2 billion a month several years ago. (Ontariowe’s was a billion a month.)
Solution: just add immigrants. CRA gets more taxpayers and Liberals get more voters, we all buy more electric cars and we all get more diverthity!

  2. It is a national – no, make that an international tragedy – that Tom Sowell is not a household name across the planet. This literally depresses me in a way I can’t even fully explain. Please share his YouTube clips with any progs you think aren’t completely brain dead as yet. If maybe your grandparent or great uncle stormed the beaches at Normandy or maybe Iwo Jima, the sharing of his videos far and wide is the very least you can do before it’s too late.

  3. So we now have an “Abortion Day” that falls just before “Every Child Matters Day”… I dare anyone to explain the logic here.
“Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation” might want to focus on the “truth” part a little more in regards to life. It seems that murder crimes punishment has been dumbed down and that children matter so much that we should be allowed to kill them before they are born. I guess I am what you could call pro-life and am persecuted for believing that we should not have the right to kill our unborn children… but I am also one of those murderers that had an abortion and (while the situation was one of abuse and blackmail) lived with torment every single day after for over 20 years. I was an 18 year old girl being forced into a hospital by my 24 year old boyfriend (of my parents choosing) who held our premarital sex over my head with a pregnancy then held his forced abortion over my head for the next 16 years before I escaped the abuse. Despite the situation around my pregnancy I still would have rather had the support to have that baby and the support to escape that relationship. I still believe abortion should not be an option outside of medical emergency… at the very least it should not be “free” paid by taxpayers. I would argue for free birth control, free condoms, free education that doesn’t teach rimming to 9 year olds, but if you do the deed there should be a price at the very least. Don’t forget boys and girls, adoption is an option and the natural purpose of sexual intercourse is to procreate. At the end of the day I could never again have a child naturally after that procedure and I will forever live with the wonder of what good that life could have brought to this world.

  4. The FBI – RCMP

Both supra National entities – 100% Identical to the GESTAPO.
And when I see those posts on Fascist Book screaming that a Majority of supposed Albertans want to keep these Horse trample loving MOFO’s here in Alberta…I remind them of the above.

This article on the FBI is excellent fodder to use against this NDP sponsored campaign.

  5. In case anyone wants to know, the video linked here as “Thomas Sowell educates a liberal” is from a 1995 episode of the PBS program “Think Tank with Ben Wattenberg,” in which Sowell was interviewed about his then-recently published book “The Vision of the Anointed: Self-Congratulation as the Basis for Social Policy.”

Ben Wattenberg was a Democrat, but the people who uploaded this video were wrong to brand him a “liberal.” Indeed, in the 1990s he was often labelled a neoconservative!

Wattenberg had been a speechwriter in the administration of Lyndon B. Johnson. Following the victory of Richard Nixon in 1968, his writings and political activities were all directed towards persuading the Democratic Party that electoral success depended on addressing the concerns of what he called the “real majority” of the American electorate, which he believed was in the political centre. In the prologue to his 1995 book “Values Matter Most,” Wattenberg gave a summary of his past political views and activities, mentioning that he had he had voted for Ronald Reagan over Jimmy Carter in 1980 and that he had publicly endorsed Bill Clinton in 1992 because he saw Clinton as a “dynamic moderate” rather than a “liberal.” He would go on to argue in the book that Clinton had failed to live up to the centrist philosophy on which he’d campaigned. (The book characterized then-First Lady Hillary Clinton as a “lady of the left.”) After reading it, Bill Clinton had an hour-long telephone conversation with Wattenberg in which he praised the book as the most honest critique of his administration that he had seen.

So, while Wattenberg and Sowell may have disagreed about many things, they agreed that the liberal wing of the Democratic Party was on the wrong track. And I have to say, in comparison with the tiresome “gotcha” nonsense to which we’re subjected nowadays, I found Wattenberg’s interview with Sowell positively refreshing! Wattenberg pushes back at some of Sowell’s positions, but he lets Sowell respond fully and gives him the final word on each topic. He evidently wants to make sure that his TV audience can form a fair impression of what Sowell’s new book is about. I call that very good interviewing.

    1. PS. The Washington Post’s obituary for Ben Wattenberg (July 29, 2015) includes the following amusing remark: “As a Democrat, Mr. Wattenberg proudly accepted the label of neoconservative, which Irving Kristol defined as ‘just a liberal who has been mugged by reality.'”
