Not assisted but murdered.
Soon Soylent Green will also be an “option”.
Big Momma, I’m of the opinion that the bug consumption pressure is a transition phase to Soylent Green.
However, by then, I’m thinking that it’ll no longer be an option, but legally binding instead.
More like a law.
Straight up evil. MAID was suggested to my nephew 12 months ago…he succumbed last month but he was flabbergasted it was even on the table with respect to treatment. When you’re fighting for your life it isn’t what you want to hear. Funny as well how most were scoffed at years ago for suggesting it was a slippery slope. Not so funny now.
More recently – A Canadian veteran was offered MAID as a possible treatment for his PTSD from a VA employee.

YEP! I was one of those people that others thought was crazy.
Quite a few believed you, me included.
I guess listening to Alex Jones these last 21 years has hardened me to the core, I don’t believe ANYTHING coming out of the mouths of The Government.
And BTW, they are making the frogs ” gay “. đ
A rights-respecting society respects the wishes of an individual and if MAID is that wish they give him/her that option. It’s a good thing. Pushing it like they did on that veteran and others is not good.
You don’t get it do you? Today’s “gov’t suggestion” will be tomorrow’s “gov’t order”. I’m really sorry you find that difficult. I mean, it isn’t a really big leap.
Look at me – I broke my own rule responding to trolls and halfwits.
But I’m in an effing ugly mood today so I made an exception.
To be fair, it should not be a ‘suggestion’ but absolutely must be an option.
Sorry, UnMe – crazy little thing called “Hippocratic Oath”.
I’m glad you’re being fair, Un… but you see, the “option” you speak of is the prelude to the Final Solution.
Go ahead and laugh at my conspiracy theory, but I’ve been predicting this since the SCOC gave the country that “option,” and they were laughing at me then, so I’m used to it.
I’ve also gotten used to being correct with my predictions. For example, I predicted in 2012 that if Obama got re-elected, the U.S. would legalize SSM within 5 years, so dwell on that for a moment.
What is SSM? I googled it and was provided with over 140 definitions!
No it’s not. You’re just making a false package. There is nothing about having the option that implies it becomes mandatory anymore than legal drugs implies it must be mandatory. You do this because your position is bankrupt and you have no arguments for it.
SSM would have been legalized regardless. Its opponents were and are also bankrupt.
Barryâs SSM views âevolvedâ (aka wet index finger held up in the open air).
I predicted Barry âthe great unifierâ would set race relations back 50 years.
B I N G O, even if do say so myself.
Bruce: SSM = Same-Sex Marriage.
Unme: I’m sure Germains said the same thing about the Nazis just before the final solution, twat. Ok, so you’re a non-believer. I’ll give you that, but I’m going to suggest one thing: Let time tell. I’ll go out on a limb right now and say all the cards will be in place by 2030.
Do you know what else will be in place by 2030???
https://thecountersignal.com/exclusive-leak-trudeau-installing-weapons-armouries-interrogation-rooms-for-ministry-of-climate-change/
X: I wish I could prove to you that I did in fact make that prediction. You seem to be doubtful, but I do have the receipts somewhere in my personal library.
“There is nothing about having the option that implies it becomes mandatory…”
You give this power to government and the government will always abuse it against those they see as undesirable. That is what governments do.
Do it yourself, don’t ask a government apparatchik to do it for you. There cannot be a less dignified way of dying that willingly marching into the government approved slaughterhouse. For this reason alone no one should ever give state this power.
How longer must Man Boy/Girl/Trans Love, Man Dog/Pony love unions be discriminated?
Love is love.

Hey UnMe…here’s a little dilemma for you. If you believe that this SHOULD be an option. Then you agree that someone should have the option not to get “vaccinated.” Correct? Because even if the “vaccination” is an end all be all of positivity…a person has the right to kill themselves. I knew you would come around. Took a while though.
Carry on.
*
“it should not be a âsuggestion'”
What rock have you been living under the past two years?
PM Blackface is determined to remake Canada.
*
Agreed.
As long as it is the Personal wish of the patient, either decided before hand, like a DNR request, or at the time of need, it should not be a decision easily made out of convenience, by a third party, that’s where the slippery slope comes in.
(See also: Abortion).
I know of a couple of people who have chosen that option, late stage cancer, in incredible pain without relief from drugs..
I always used to veiw suicide as “A permanent solution to a temporary problem” but as I get older and continue to mature and gain different insights into life, it becomes plausible as a way out of a no way out situation, as a final measure, that should not be arrived at lightly, after all possible options have been exhausted.
I am going to fight for every last breath of life, no matter how painful it gets to be.
I agree with that as well, as it is and should remain, one’s own prerogative. Not everyone feels the same way..
Sad to say that is absolutely true, but are we as a people better off having that choice, or is the government better off?
God is the arbiter of life and death. I wouldn’t want to be in the shoes of those who decided otherwise when they’re forced to meet him.
A man always has the option to off himself. It should never be offered as a service by anyone else.
Think about it.
Man A: “Man, this sucks!”
Man B:”Well, how about I just kill ya? Special offer only $9.95!”
I remember a work colleague in the late 70’s having terminal cancer.
He sat down on his basement stairs and put a shotgun in his mouth and pulled the trigger.
There are better ways to go, it was an awful mess .
But as Ole Blue Eyes said ” I did it my way ” .
Hell must have frozen over, UnMe, because I 100% agree with your assessment. To others that disagree I would ask you to look at his statement carefully. The key here is that medical professionals should NOT initiate any discussion of assisted suicide.
I will be 83 in a couple of weeks and I think I have some insight into what it is to live on death’s door. I have watched many friends die – some of them gracefully – others disgracefully. By “disgracefully” I mean the ones who drain their families resources, both financially and emotionally, trying to milk out every last drop of life.
The only situation, for me, which could trigger thoughts of suicide would be one where I feel I am a burden on my family. I have worked hard all my life to provide my family with a better life. It would mock my entire life’s purpose to drain their financial resources. When the time comes I will be glad that I don’t have shoot myself, throw myself in front of a truck or, even worse, find myself totally incapacitated to end my life. I am grateful that medically assisted suicide is available to me.
I am not afraid of pain but the thought of bankrupting my family is intolerable to me. If and when the time comes I want all you self righteous do-gooders to mind your own f*cking business.
And that’s exactly the way Canadian society, who couldn’t care less about taking care of the elderly, would want you to think. May I respectfully suggest that you are being guilted into making a choice that I personally would never make, even if they tried to guilt me by suggesting I was being selfish. No… they will actually have to commit murder to end my life, and I wouldn’t put it past them to do it, just like the way they ended my mother’s life.
Men make sacrifices. They work all their lives and turn over the fruits of their labor to their families. They go off to war, perhaps to die, for the good of their countries. At an advanced age they continue the spirit of sacrifice by ending their life if they become a burden to their families.
I don’t see any difference in what I am willing to do from that of my father who fought in WW2 for five years, willing to sacrifice his life, for the good of his country. And when I die I will know that I did my duty. That is what I ask of myself and that is what I ask of other men. It is in doing my duty that I maintain my honor.
It’s one thing to willingly make a sacrifice based entirely on your own free will. It’s another to being manipulated into making a choice that someone else wants you to make. You may believe that you’re being magnanimous, and if you’re committed to making that choice, fine, but to anyone else looking in on this conversation, I ask them, are you SURE you’re making a choice that YOU want to make?
“When the time comes I will be glad that I donât have shoot myself…”
I honestly cannot think of a situation other than being physically unable to do it where I would prefer not to pull the trigger myself than to let some government butcher do it to me.
Tales of djinn very lucidity show us the end result of wishes.
The only sad thing about UNMEs society is that it kills itself too slowly and trys to take too many sane people down with it.
No one will look back wistfully once liberal society is in its grave.
The whole point is pushing it.
Thanks for playing.
So Canadians are more than 20 times as likely to commit suicide by doctor than to commit suicide by firearm. Yet while this feckless excuse for a government is perfectly all right with the former 95%, it uses the latter 5% as an excuse to ban legal import of handguns by licenced owners.
Maybe theyâre concerned about the competition for their legislative death machinery.
Nice to know thereâs a government-approved route to offing yourself. Thatâs useful information in the wake of these imbeciles bankrupting the entire f@@king country through their incompetent and ascientific mismanagement of chinas bio warfare attack. But hey, let us not detract from liberal admiration for their âbasic dictatorshipâ, which after all has a better record than any other totalitarian $hit hole in human history for âgovernment assisted suicideâ. What are they up to by now, >100M, non? Bravo, comrades! Forward the revolution!
It may also become easier and more expeditious to receive MAID than it would be to obtain a firearm licence and a firearm to complete the procedure!
My firearms instructor mentioned (at the time) that the most deaths from firearms were from suicides. This was a while ago, before MAID was a thing..
Legalize heroin, and the whole MAID issue can be made to go away. Wanna die? Go to the pharmacy and buy yourself an overdose. Canadians, however, are scared of freedom, and prefer the gov’t to dole out what should be their natural rights, and are prone to whine vociferously when they disagree with the gov’t decision, but in the end, still prefer the gov’t to make the decisions for them. This is as true about guns as it is for MAID and drugs.
Agreed.
An excellent question that should be easily susceptible of empirical analysis. Thank you, Zon.
Cultural suicide. This is the same government that prevented family and loved ones from peering in windows to see their mothers/fathers/husbands/wives/sisters/brothers outside of hospitals and care homes? I’m sure that had lot to do with the numbers. Also, Sarah Palin was right.
Super-right.
Given the state of corrupted institutions, it’s obvious that people within them are likely being pushed into suggesting doctor assisted suicide to relieve the “sacred” system from the burden of high cost patients. Free will suicide is a right that is part of the right to life and liberty. It has happened forever and usually consisted of a few extra milligrams of morphine to people near the end of life and in extreme pain or discomfort. Given the trend of the institutional rot, it will likely get worse. It’s the suicide of socialism / fascism that is a bigger problem.
If people wanted to kill themselves, they would simply do it.
It’s not just a cost-cutting measure of a cruel government. It is the complicity of a society in a great evil.
Just like with abortion and grooming.
We all know it.
And do not mistake yourself that this is YOUR choice. The government is making you think that.
Why are you portraying this so negatively?
This is a program our Dear Leader brought in as one of his first laws after winning the 2015 election as a special assistance program especially for us Old Stock Canadians. And in 2019 he expanded the program to include those who have been declared to have mental illness who want to take advantage of the program.
And the program has just gotten started. Just wait until you see the numbers by the end of this Liberal Party 5-Year Plan!
After all we Old Stock Canadians are holding on to lots of assets that the desperately government needs to be able to support all the New Canadians being brought in.
Just checked the Aktion T4 page on Wikipedia and it does not yet have a “see also” link to MAID. But it will eventually.
In the not too distant future, we’ll wonder about “Good Canadians” in the same way people wondered about “Good Germans” after WWII.
National Socialism gets revamped for the modern age, and repackaged as “compassion for the dying”.
MAID is anything but…
But of course, the definition of compassion: is to “suffer with” the dying; not to eliminate the dying.
This is simply the corruption of the medical profession to actively participate in the killing of the patient; as opposed to the alleviation/amelioration of suffering. This is why the SCOC had to redefine the criminal code so they could actively enlist/recruit the medical profession as killers. ⍠Dr. Mengele call your office…! âŤ
From the original Hippocratic Oath which has served well for approximately 2.5 millennia…circa 400 BC
“I will not hurt my fellow or put a knife to his flesh if I donât know how, or give him an herb to
soothe his pain, even if he begs for it in anguish, if it might take away his breath.
I will never harm my suffering friend, because life is sacred, from the tender fruit that he once was in his motherâs
womb to that first sigh he gave out between her legs when he opened his eyes to the world.”
In the end, this blight on humanity, saves not the patient, but only money. Let the SCOC own it completely.
For the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. 1 Timothy 6:10

Am I taking crazy pills??? It was only a scant 46 years ago that the death penalty in Canada was abolished. The main thrust of the arguments back then according to Liberals and some Conservatives was that it was totally immoral for the government to be snuffing out the lives of it’s own citizens.
So here we are. Our own gov’t willing to give us a highball if we’re feeling a little down. Good Grief!!!
The death panels that Palin was roundly mocked for is just around the corner. If you’re unconvinced…wait a while.
*
“totally immoral for the government to be snuffing out the lives of itâs own citizens”
Dude, that was totally before the government bankrupted the healthcare system.
Just think of the fantastic savings here. Wait’ll Justin abolishes prisons and police
forces… we’ll be rollin’ in dough.
Next up… no more pesky, expensive military!
*
In college I was very much pro-death penalty as a deterrent and as eliminating the possibility of re-offence since no one in Canada is sentenced to life in prison. I changed my mind through the years believing the state shouldn’t be allowed to determine. Today, thanks to the reaction to a virus, I am pro. Start with all health officers.
So what is the currently “correct” number of persons dying of Covid in Canada ,corrected for the intermediate lies..Ie, dead with covid, killed by vaccine, but blamed on covid..Or the flu.
Seems the numbers for death by vaccine side effect and murdered by healthcare (MAID) now exceed the Dread Covid toll.
Now call me a cynic but we used to call failed suicidees “Mentally ill” and lament the “Poor Choices” of successful practioneers..
Yet now Suicide with “proper approval” is just fine, recommended to all.
Just get your permit..
What was wrong with the old way?
Where those who really wanted to kill themselves did so.
And those desperately seeking attention sometimes were too successful..
As for those who insist people need help to kill themselves..Utter Bullshit.
There are so many ways to die, it is nerve, not method, that is the limiting factor.
Shit I have lost so many friends and family over the years, most of whom death came as a surprise.
“Oh shit” versus “Sucks to be me?”
I have a daughter , a pharmacist in the health care system who preps these. she says as notable as the increase , is the timing, used to be just after christmas. its all year round now . and lots before christmas, not after , the old folks want to skid their rig.
Lots of good discussion here..
Suicide used to be the only murder you could get away with, in Canada, it was illegal to kill ones self, but no one was ever charged with it.. like Hans said above, as well as making some other great points, that’s why they had to change the laws around it ..
I guess my point is not so much against the procedure being available, (one could argue the same for abortion or transition surgery) but rather why it has become suddenly more “necessary”..
People have been made comfortable with it.
L – Am I the only one, who suspects that the mysterious disappearance of Common Sense, is a case of Medically Assisted Death by the Trudeau regime?
MAID is here to tidy up the inconvenient, incontinent, inconsolable, incurable, or those who are simply in-the-way.
Someone will check the informed consent box for you before we introduce you to the serial killer.
Yep.
Agree here about lots of good discussion and talking points.
It is correct that one of the main points of the original introduction of the liberal firearms bill in 1995, was the fact that they pushed it because suicide was the biggest cause of firearms death in Canada. In truth they used it as an excuse to begin the continuing changes to ban firearms in Canada, because anyone owning a firearm is a threat to their power. When we consider how many are dying because of the covid shots and now the MaiD, the firearms suicide number pale in comparison. The liberal government sees itself as a feudal king and court, with ties all the way to the WEF and the UN. We are the mere peasants they will control, by force if required, but they will control us. In the original feudal systems most peasants couldn’t afford the arms of the day, only the knights and feudal courts could. This same court could care less about who dies or how, what they care about is power and control, that is the real reason they wanted to take over the entire medical health system, they lied to us, and we fell for it.
It took me a good while to understand they, and their thug uniformed stasi, do not, and never did, have our care and welfare in mind. Until enough remove their blinders or awaken from their stupor, the powers that be, will continue their march through our institutions, through our rights and freedoms, and anywhere else they can seize a little more power, such as the green crap and ESG. It is ALL interconnected, and ALL one direction. If you look at the big picture, it’s plain and obvious, and it’s all planned!
