I grew up in England. We had this nonsense many times. Similarly in winter there are no snow plows because it never snows.

Well who the heck thought it would rain in England?
It has been extremely dry in southern England for months, and some places got these downpours, others did not. So the drought is partially ended or eased. Some places need a lot more rain than they got so far, and more dry weather is in the forecast. Hope that facts are welcome in these threads, I know, it’s the internet.
