Even more alarming are the laws where it is criminalized to get an abortion in another state. What’s next, do women have to register their pregnancies? Are we going back to a time when women who had miscarriages are criminally investigated?

If the nest had eggs in it that would result in a conviction on indictment, resulting in stiffer penalties, $250,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than five years, or to both.

I think the map is outdated. I’ve checked a number of sites and it appears that a number of old laws take effect after Roe v. Wade was overturned. So, except for extraordinary circumstances, abortion on request is banned in the following seven states: AL, AR, KY, MO, OK, TX, UT.
