1. The political show trial might not get much traction. Here’s why.

   “A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 55% of Likely U.S. voters believe cheating likely affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, including 39% who think it’s Very Likely. Thirty-nine percent (39%) don’t think cheating affected the 2020 election, including 28% who say it’s Not At All Likely.”

   This includes 35% of Democrats.

   This leads to the obvious conclusion that the Jan 6th rioters believed that were protecting democracy, not subverting it, by asking for a delay in confirming the results. The number of voters believing this is growing, not shrinking.

   The press is censoring all discussion of election irregularities but the message is getting through to voters. For example, the “2000 Mules” documentary is making an impact.

2. The censorship of commentary about possible election irregularities is ubiquitous.

   Does it affect this site?

   My comment here went into moderation. Why? It simply cited a published poll by Rasmussen, a recognized polling organization with a reputation for accuracy.

4. The press is censoring all discussion of election irregularities….didn’t you mean “the bought and paid for” press? All the “free” press does is push paid for government propaganda.

5. It’s not about traction or substantive results. It’s not even about the Left trying to dig themselves out of the coming Mid-term hole. It’s about intimidation. The very act is influencing what SHOULD be the opposition to such unconstitutional activities. I’ve often seen comments expressing that the GOP is spineless and representative of a Uni-party. Actions like this from the Left is why they are so. How did the committee address those rare politicians who offered up opposition? Well, they folded them into the investigation. The Jan. 6th Committee has been an unmitigated success that will serve the Left well into the future. It will embolden them to act even more egregiously and illegally because their message to the Right has been received loud and clear.

   In the past, they would inertly and subtlety work their intimidation. However, now that they control the DOJ, FBI, IRS, State Dept, CIA, NSA and the other various alphabet agencies, there is no risk or repercussion. They are free to overtly whip the opposition in the Town Square and anyone who challenges that act will be next in line to be whipped.

   I keep seeing references to how the Jan. 6 Committee is cover up for past done deeds. It isn’t. It’s about the ones they haven’t committed yet…and the previous will pale in comparison to what they do next.

   1. I sometimes feel like “the right” don’t even have a coaching staff and the only playbook we have ever seen came and went with Trump. Canadian conservatives are a massive disappointment across the board and DeSantis seems about the only one flexing any muscle in the US.

      To continue the sports metaphor, it’s kinda hard to win any game when your opponents control the officials, the field, the equipment and 1/2 your teammates.

8. January 6th was not an insurrection.

   It was, by and large, well-meaning hooligans issuing a good-humored warning to parasitic elites that have infested government. Americans have a long history of dressing up like Indians and protesting government overreach with drunken vandalism.

   The elites’ ham-fisted response continued tomfoolery is likely to precipitate an actual insurrection.

   If the Faux Indian shenanigans fail, Americans will try tar and feathering and other entertaining acts of low-level violence. Should that fail, eventually they solve things with overwhelming violence.
