  1. Maybe it’s the drinking water…
    Maybe it’s the entitled, over-paid, under-worked government employees…
Maybe the truckers destroyed the fragile, delicate sensibilities of the citizens of the capital…

“Ottawa Bylaw says it received “many noise complaints” about generators running, as tens of thousands of Ottawa residents spent the night in the dark (without electricity due to recent wind storms).”

    1. People who live in Capitol cities should expect capitol issues to visit regularly.

    2. Knowing how the half-assed, self-centered, government-teet-dependent people are in this town, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if the complaints came from those whose lights are on.

Do I hate this town, or what???

    3. Yesterday evening I lent my generator to a Bro in law who hasn’t had power since Saturday…because he expected the estimates of a power return as gospel…I had warned him after the 2018 tornadoes to get one…he makes well-over 100k per year…I got a transfer panel, outlet and cord installed last year for my portable…not cheap and I don’t make even close to a 100k per year…I also don’t take 4 travelling vacations per year…he’ll retire in 18 months…and wring his hands over what to do with himself…such are the trials of public sector workers.

Besides extraordinary exceptions – a severe illness/you’re not in the city – If you’re running a portable generator all night in late spring, you’re a fkn asshole-weirdo-dickhead.

    4. Total Propaganda and Disinformation by the CBC the Great Canadian Penal Colony’s version of Cuba’s Mother.
Fox News Is Now A Security Threat. Easy To See how they are ramping up to cut off an suspend all International or USA news and info. Except all glowing stories about PEDO CULTS LIKE THE WEF of which half of the Trudeau Cabinet belong including the Trudeau ass kisser and Trudeau fondler Singh.

  2. https://realcontextnews.com/a-brief-history-of-russian-and-soviet-genocides-mass-deportations-and-other-atrocities-in-ukraine/?fbclid=IwAR1ZvoV_U9OrA5vAMbvA4B5fwiAdPy7zNPI1PLQgf4co3LpjnyUitNTwvZI

“Thus, Ukrainians’ resistance to Russian imperialism, whether in the past or today, is not inspired by Western support or American manipulation into becoming “proxies” of the U.S., but a deep, lived experience passed on from generation to generation of being at the receiving end of a long history of atrocities that, sadly, in part defines what it means to be Ukrainian.”

    Read it all.

    1. Good article. Will go unnoticed by the “Pootin is fighting Soros” shortbus brigade.

    2. I’ll give you that Russia’s history is checkered, to say the least, but let me remind you that Ukraine’s rep isn’t all that rosy either.

          1. Against armed ethnic Russian militias — the guys who shot down a jetliner, probably while drunk.

          2. Yes. Russia has been pounding their civilians with propaganda for 8 years that blames Ukraine directly and indirectly for all the death and destruction.

Russia started the whole thing in 2014. Look up Igor Girkin. Russia is responsible for throwing vast majority of Russian speaking people’s deaths in the east. Don’t call then ethnic Russian, they’re ethnic slavs that speak Russian. You should read my post for why they’re there in the first place.

          3. Funny you should mention Igor Girkin. No one has been more intensely and persistently doomcasting the Russians than him and he’s been largely right. He must have friends in high places to say the things he says openly like he does.

          4. “Ukraine did pound Donbas for what… 8 years? Or is that Russian disinformation?”

            Several points.

            1. Perspective and scale. Ukraine has shown you over the last four months what it means when they pound. Just look at the recent russian pontoon bridge crossings. Now look at pictures of Donetsk and Lubansk today after eight years of brutal pounding and compare them pictures of, … I don’t know, how about… Mariupol after four months of “special military operation”. See the difference?

            2. Ukraine was fighting a counterinsurgency operation against bankrolled by Kremlin terrorists. They have every right to fight that operation. It is their land, period. If local collaborators of the old regime that perpetrated genocide on Ukraine don’t like? They can take a hike to russia.

            3. Russians have no right to be in Ukraine. Not just military but civilians. They have all been offered the opportunity to become Ukrainians. If they want to be russian they should go to russia. After what russia has been doing to Ukraine for centuries, Ukrainians have every right to prohibit any expression of russcism on their soil. You’re not allowed to waive swastikas in Tel Aviv or Haifa either.

  3. PUTIN’S REALITY
“One-sided coverage of Putin fuels anti-Russian mania and heightens the risk of serious war. To understand Putin, it is important to understand the conditions in which he came to power. Russia in the 90s was the equivalent of Weimar Germany in the 30s, or Zimbabwe in the early 2000s.”

As if to address our Colonialista, Waldburger explains the exact context in which Putin famously referred to the collapse of the soviet union as a tragedy — for the Russian people.

    https://chriswaldburger.substack.com/p/putins-reality?r=umwt&s=r&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

    1. It is the same drivel regurgitated for an nth time. Tacitly admitting that civilized ways are not compatible with russia.

You wonna know about Pootin? Read Krystana Kurczab-Redlich “Vova, Volodia, Vladimir” (I believe an English translation has been recently made available).

    2. This context that Waldburger explains is like saying that Mussolini made trains run on time, and Dr Mengele pioneered public childcare.

Russia has a lot of problems, most self inflicted. One of the biggest is the lie of russian history and refusal to condemn it. None has done more harm to others than russians did and got a freer pass.

      1. That’s a superficial and bogus analogy. No one was threatening Italy’s security.

Once again, Russia had perfectly valid security concerns, not unlike the US vis-a-vis the nuclear missiles in Cuba. Once again, Russia, in exchange for aggreeing to the unification of Germany, was given a solid assurance that NATO would expand no further. That promise was broken.

I feel for the innocent people of Ukraine who were sold down the river by Zelensky just as his idol Trudeau is doing to the people of Canada. Putin did not bring about the Holodomor. Putin is not attempting to restore the soviet union.

The US/Nato started the war against Russia in 2014.
Zelensky is a fool – a stupid fool.
Martin Armstrong makes the point that Russia has its own idiot neocons who would be keen to unleash nuclear war just as some idiot US necons are openly discussing the possibility of winning a nuclear war against Russia. YOU, in your spittle-flecked hatred for today’s Russians are, perhaps unwittingly, doing rah rah rah for nuclear war.

        1. “Once again, Russia, in exchange for aggreeing to the unification of Germany, was given a solid assurance that NATO would expand no further”

This simply never happened. There was no deal.

” Russia had perfectly valid security concerns”

Incorrect. Russia was always the menace to its neighbors right from the end of the Cold War, when it sent Cossacks to Transniestria in an act of war against Moldova.

“The US/Nato started the war against Russia in 2014”

Another lie. Russia is the belligerent, pure and simple. And they are just beginning to pay how-doody. They are getting destroyed. They are bringing T-61s out of storage.

          1. “…when it sent Cossacks to Transniestria in an act of war against Moldova.”

            A valid point. … shockingly.

          2. He meant T-62 surely. Here are two tings that add to to the T-62 clusterf*ck that people typically miss. Yes, it is an antique that remembers Yom Kippur War, very vulnerable in modern battlefield. But it gets better.

It uses 115mm gun that is unique to the platform. No other weapon in Siberian inventory fires the same ammo. T-64, -72, -80, -90 all use 125mm gun. The ammo hasn’t been produced for decades. So it will get some very old ammo of questionable reliability and it puts an extra strain on their overstretched logistics.

It is the last Siberian tank with a human loader, all subsequent models from T-64 onwards use autoloaders. Siberians have no trained tank crews for that gun. They have commanders, gunners, drivers, but not loaders. And they have no instructors either because none practiced with this archaic junk for decades.

        2. “No one was threatening Italy’s security.”

          1. None was threatening Russia’s security either.
          2. Does russia threatening security of her neighbors ever matters? Or is it only a one way street in favour of mother russia?

“Once again, Russia had perfectly valid security concerns, ”

No, not a single one. Russia has imperial ambitions and a restless, chronically aggressive, low IQ, drunk, population looking to be unleashed. Russia has no security concerns. Name one.

        3. “Putin did not bring about the Holodomor. Putin is not attempting to restore the soviet union.”

Again first you’re reducing the whole issue to Holodomor, as if this was one isolated event. No. Then you’re drawing an artificial distinction between SU and russia. SU was just an old russian empire under new management. And the old empire, and SU, and the modern empire are all equally hostile to independent Ukraine. For without Ukraine russia is just an Asian turd world shithole like the Stans. For russia to claim European heritage cannot be done without conquering parts of Eastern Europe. The last time russia was a part of Europe was in 1612.

          1. This is unfair to the stans. Kazakhstan is becoming a serious country, they are becoming richer freer and decently governed. The AIFC is particularly intriguing. Uzbekistan is embracing capitalism and chasing Kazakhstan up the wealth ladder.

What both of these countries are also doing is publicly dumping Russia. Kazakhstan cancelled the May 9 Victory parade. An absolute slap in the face only months after Russia basically bailed out their regime under the CSTO mandate. Incredible loss of soft power.

          2. All Stans are shitholes, they fluctuate a little up a little down, but they have reached the pinnacle of their civilizational level a while ago and are going nowhere in the long run.

    1. I’ve seen far worse things done in the Canadian Forces during exercises and in New York City too come to think of it. Saw a dummy swing a loaded Sten gun back and forth through an entire platoon of disarmed dummies back in 1959 in Chatham. If the armourer hadn’t been standing right there beside him things might have become even more interesting.

      1. LOL, ok but they weren’t very special forces (allegedly) fighting in the warzone.

    2. Apparently the Kadyrovite Chechens are universally loathed by the Russian fighters. Show up, empty a mag at an empty building without shouldering the rifle, film a Tik Tok (no seriously), then leave.

    1. I fondly remember walking about the BC museum at least half an dozen times a year when living in Vic. And i was in my 20s.
Never bored, always something to read or study.
I feel sorry for the future kids as the “new” and improved facility will replace history with social justice.

      1. Does anyone remember a mechanical contraption called The Iron Chink (not exacly a paragon of p.c. virtue) in the fish canning plant exhibit? It was there back in the 80’s. I never did figure out what it was actually supposed to accomplish and there was no write-up and no museum staff who could help.

        1. The Iron Chink is a canary machine that guts and cuts the head off salmon . They replaced Chinese work gangs hence the name iron chink . In the 1970’s the name was changed to iron butcher . The machines still mostly have the original name plate Iron Chink .

      2. I visited the museum in Victoria about twelve years ago and was amazed to see an exhibit discussing climate change that clearly showed the medieval warm period and little ice age and that it had been warmer in the past…… I’m willing to bet money that that piece has been memory holed…..

  4. L – At least some outsiders are recording the decline and fall for posterity. It will also assist

acquire this fear of agents of the Trudeau regime, on horseback, trampling you to death ?”

  5. Bizarre. Yesterday, on my laptop, there was no “Reader’s Tips” showing up on SDA. Hence my question about it on OJ’s “Turtle Island” thread. Last night I did a quick check of SDA on my cell phone, there’s the thread! Only 6 replies, though. Wonder if it wasn’t visible for others, too?

      1. It’s not about calling a mistake out. It appears to be a technological issue. One computer, one browser, it doesn’t work. Another computer, different browser, it works.

Just checked from my desktop. Same browser as the laptop, the thread is there. So, something screwy with my laptop. Weird.

  6. Couple on astronomy.

Something strange is up with 45-year-old spacecraft Voyager 1

    https://www.digitaltrends.com/space/voyager-1-aacs-issue/

Nearly 50 years ago, astronomers detected what is considered the best evidence of an alien radio signal from space. Now one astronomer says he may have found the star system where it came from.

    1. Worse yet, it’s all the fault of the truckers. They burned all that diesel fuel, causing the “climate change” that produced the storms that knocked out their Internet.

There’s nothing worse than being forced to get one’s porn jollies the old-fashioned way rather than by computer, is there?

  7. Karma! AKA, getting what you voted for, good & hard.

    1. Those twits would be happy to accept cash from these bad white people I’m sure.

      1. And, have you ever heard a word from these activists appreciating the thousands of whites who laid down their own lives to free blacks from slavery?

        Me neither.

    1. Did that come during a hard day’s night and he had been working like a dog?

    1. By admitting to that fallacy, he’ll have to admit that the Fortress of Stupidtude is also on stolen land. Nah. He’ll conveniently find some “oral tradition” that says that the land by Harrington Lake was a gift from the original inhabitants.

  8. Here’s a juxtaposition for you.

Ukraine, a country at war, was deemed safe enough for PM Leisure Suit Larry to travel to for a photo op. Oddly, the fund raiser in Surrey BC was deemed unsafe and the police “forced” the Leisure Suit from attending.
Double odd, was that this unsafe event in BC where it was previously claimed “racist slurs” were made wasn’t unsafe enough that the so-called minister of defence Anita Anaud was able to attend in person as a stand in.

    1. You make a great point.
      I say it’s On Purpose.
You can’t go from transforming The Opposition into The Threat, Dissent into Criminality or Patriots into Terrorists without this fake narrative.
Juthin hasn’t used the comparison yet, but either he or a presstitue shall, sooner or later.

      1. I think he slid into his cowardice mode. He hates being questioned on anything he says or does, his word is absolute, anybody who questions that isn’t worthy. Goom-bye, peasants. Next!

  9. It’s just a total coincidence that the entirety of the heavily subsidized Canadian media got the Canadian Press Story Of The Year completely wrong while unfunded blogs and independent media outlets got the story correct.
I work full time and I knew that every word in the corrupted Canadian media about the graves was a lie.
They work full time in the media and they claim that they didn’t know the truth?

I don’t think he knows what that word means:

    https://nationalpost.com/opinion/the-year-of-the-graves-how-the-worlds-media-got-it-wrong-on-residential-school-graves

“The year of the graves: How the world’s media got it wrong on residential school graves
The coverage triggered protests, church arsons and condemnation from Canada’s bad-faith rivals, but last summer’s reporting on the country’s long-acknowledged historic shame had little to do with what happened. Terry Glavin reports.”
    ===

Does this mean that Ryerson can change their name back?

    1. That is an excellent story by Glavin, who I don’t normally like that much. Interestingly, once again, the native leaders aren’t the purveyors of misinformation. This is the case with the anti-pipeline blockades too where eco-nazis where native concerns like a skinsuit.

  10. “”The My First Gender Transition playset helps your child have a fun time playing pretend while in no way being inculcated with an emotionally destructive ideology,” said Product Manager Murthina Spillwig who may soon be updating her resumé. “Parents in our focus groups were excited to force their kids to pretend to enjoy the playset for Instagram.”

The playset is bursting with a plethora of features to confuse your toddler, including:
-Therapist doll that, when squeezed, whispers, “Don’t tell your parents.”
In anticipation of the success of the gender-affirming playset, Fisher-Price has announced they will soon be releasing the “My First Detransition” playset.”

    1. Boys have been playing with girls toys and vice versa for many decades now. No surprise that the weirdos and clods of the BB can’t relate to normal human beings.

          1. Explains why that 18 wheeler is weaving all over the road. Tweezers, pepper shaker…

          2. DB:

I’ll be back on the road to my house in B. C. this coming weekend. I’ll have to watch for any weaving 18-wheelers….. you know, just in case……

      1. “Boys have been playing with girls toys… ”

Exactly right, dragging dolls behind their bikes and then blowing them up with firecrackers for starters.

        1. I was talking about the civilized world. Normal people don’t do that. Only Sid from Toy Story does that now.

          1. Ahhh, you must mean the “civilized world” where little boys are spit upon as ‘toxically masculine’, then get encouraged to get their dicks chopped off. That is if they don’t want to kill themselves for being white, first.

            FOAD, leftard.

    1. I was brought up by same sex parents. My father had sex with my mother the same time she had sex with him.

  11. Trucker documentary interview tonight: https://stevekirsch.substack.com/p/vsrf-call-today-max-blumenthal-and
And, in case you missed it (posted yesterday, but there was no Reader Tips), This is an excellent overview of the Trucker protest and government incompetent handling of the protest: https://off-guardian.org/2022/05/23/the-freedom-convoy-the-collapse-of-canadian-liberalism/ On this one, it is especially important to note how the uncalled for government crack-down has really destroyed an important principle which has previously kept our country free. The government has violated the respect for human rights on which our country was built. Lots of people — especially lots in Ottawa — are completely ignoring what has happened, but many are disillusioned. As an immigrant to Canada, I am ready to leave if I can.
